My tip, add lotion to your tanner before applying! I use half of each in my palm, just rub it in skin and there is no drying of your skin, the smell is less and the tanner will spread and absorb much easier! I find using the lotion with the tanner causes less streaking and doesn't stain your
hands!
Yes, I cut the tanner with moisturizer for evenness
Does that work for mousse self tan as well or is that a stupid question
@@dahenry8888 Any question that you do not know the answer to is never a stupid question. So, no. Personally I think the mousse self tanners work best. See the b. tan line.
Thank you...
I avoid these self tanners because of the smell.
You mentioned the hair conditioner as a body moisturizer and I thought I'd mention my "secret" use for conditioner. I have used hair conditioner for 30+ years to shave my legs. I buy inexpensive brands, and it leaves my legs soft and moisturized.
I always get excited when I get a notification that you have a new video. You are such a joy.
Just love you Dominique. I am 58 and remember very well the baby oil and iodine phase. Sitting in my backyard with a record album covered with aluminum foil. Can't forget the lemon juice in my hair..what were we thinking...Anyway I just purchased a great product from QVC called minetan. It's a tanning mist sprayer. So natural and the color is fabulous. No smell at all. Also very moisturizing as the product contains coconut water. From Australia I think.
Another great video... Thanks susan!
We used coconut oil and fried.... 🥥 You're right @susan alessi... I think I got off lightly 🤔😊🇬🇧 X
I remember all of that, Susan! Hahaha
I totally remember that I am also 58 yrs. I remember hearing about a friend back in the day(70's) who put real Butter on her skin and got so burned!!! Yes "What were we thinking??" Hahahaha! We survived!!
OMG did you just bring back the memories...
How about 'Crisco'! Yup. It's showing up now! :)
Yes, I would like a 2020 update on tan in a can, with scents, color transfer to sheets and towels.

As a 56 year old sun-fanatic, who has experienced melanoma, I still love a good tan. I've found that Loving Tan 2 Hour Express Tanning Mousse works amazing...it keeps me out of the sun while feeling like I can still rock that 80's tan.
hi, Dominique!! I just recently discovered you while looking for hair tutorials. I love, love, love yours. You are smart, talented and just a joy to watch. I'm a 50 year old gal, also. I am recovering from a total hysterectomy to remove cancer and yes, it's gone!! Anyway, you make me feel inspired and really more youthful just from your spirit!! I love this tutorial and I had given up on self tanners years ago. I'm so excited to give this a try. Thank you for sharing a little of yourself with us!! Xoxoxo
🙏🧡 praying for total recovery for you.
Your arms look amazing, by the way!! I'd love to see a future video of your typical weight lifting regimen!
A tip for applying self tanner to the hands and feet. I use a big, soft make up brush. I just spray my self tanner (very sparingly) on my brush and carefully brush on the self tanner. It's great for between the fingers and toes!! ❤️ you!!!!
Shonda Williams, No tanner between the fingers and toes! A tanning specialist gave me this information! He said, “the sun doesn’t get in between your fingers or your toes, you want them light as in a more realistic tan!”
Shonda Williams.
@@terry4137 Doesn't the tanners you apply to your skin cause your wrinkles to become more pronounced ?
Thank you.
Great tip.
St.Tropez extra dark and Loving Tan ultra dark both in mousse and I use a tanning mitt with my applications. They are both so natural and dark...of course there’s lighter shades I just prefer the dark but it’s not too dark either and buildable if someone wants it to be super dark. The mousse is the best streak free easy to guide putting it on and fast drying not sticky like the creams ....I always leave my formula on over night to get the fullest effect and I’m not wearing it while I’m busy during the day.
Do you mix them together or just use each one separately whenever you tan
Jergen's also makes a product called Wetglow which is a moisturizer that you put on before you dry off from the shower. The color develop quickly and lasts until your next shower, so the one downfall, it's not buildable. But it's a great way to start off with self-tanning if you've never used a self-tanner and you want to try a product without a lot of commitment.
Love this one !
I love the self-tanner glow too! Here are my two favorite bargain and high-end options. Nature's Gate Organic Glow Lotion in Medium $15 for 18 fl oz and Tan-Luxe Sleep Oil $49 for .68 oz (gulp, but you can apply it before bed and your skin looks and feels amazing by morning!). I've been using the Nature's Gate for years, but I'm approaching 50 and my skin on my lower legs has become incredibly dry. It takes forever to build up color on my legs now because I have to pack on the extra moisturizer...which dilutes the tan. CURSES! So, I do the Sleep Oil once a week, then the Glow Lotion every three days. Working well so far. Thanks for the tips Dominique - learning so much from you and this entire group!
I have lived in houston for 20 years and just now found your videos. i have been binge watching for a few days. You are my new beauty guru.
Aw, thank you! So happy you found me here :)
Thank you Dominique for this great review of products, especially this time of year. I just received a sample of them Jergens, Natural Glow, Wet Skin Moisturizer and have used it several times , but I didn't find it to be moisturizing. I love your tutorials and how down to earth you are, it's a pleasure to watch and learn from you. 😊
I would love to see an updated (2019) video on self tanning products.
Same here. Would love to see an update as self-tanner continues to evolve.
I would love to see an updated self tanning video for 2023!!
I just found your channel! I luv u! It's so refreshing to see a lady my age here sharing a variety of videos! Your gorgeous and have a beautiful energy
I love how real you are, have a blessed day
That's so sweet of you to say.. thank you!
i like your videos so many good tips on makeup, hair, and tanner . love your personaility. bev , tn

I’ve used L’Oréal gel for years. No streaks, easy to apply and great color
1. Tan Towels 2. Josie Maran Liquid Argan Oil 3. Monne Express Serum
Thanks for your tips and I enjoy the positive channel you share. God Bless you
Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs is a great body makeup, especially if you're fair! The spray form has a teensy bit of shimmer to it if you sheer it out, and it smells like olive oil, but it's worked so well for me!
Great emergency leg tan.
I love this one too! ❤️ I spray it in my hand and mix it with my body lotion. Been using it for years in this way. It really does look like a filter for the skin. 😊
Yes! I love this! Additional benefit is it covers, not accentuates, those brown age spots
I love Sally HANSEN airbrush as well!!! Been using it for years!!!
I've been using the Jergans Mousse for over a year. I'm naturally very pale and it gives me a believable sun kissed tan. Jergans has come out with an after shower moisturizing sun less tanner that works well too. Thanks for your videos. I look forward to them each week!
I have tried faux tan by Bare Minerals and love it!! I am 51 years young and found it to be an awesome product
I have used Bare Escentuals Faux Tan for about 15 years. LOVE it! I get the 16 oz bottle (when it's offered) from QVC. (Have also seen it offered on eBay) and that bottle will literally last me about 5+ years. It gives instant color, and also deposits color, so I only use it about twice a week. It does have a bit of that funky smell, but not bad, and the color is very natural. I have never been asked what kind of a self-tanner I use. I have been told "You need to stay out of the sun" though!
I love, love, love Josie Maran's self tanning oil with instant bronzer. Smells pretty good and virtually goof proof. It's the only self tanner I have ever used that did not give my fair skin an orange glow.
Thanks for sharing!
Being someone who have had two Malignant Melanomas, I'm pleased that people are now being careful about tanning! In my day, we were never told of the dangers! TFS xx
Jurgens natural glow wet skin. I love it!
I always love when you do a video about your garden, flowers and house stuff.🌺
Loved your review on the self tanners. I have been using St. Tropez Bronzing Mousse for the past several weeks and have found this one to work the best for me. This does not turn my skin orange as some of the others I have used did. Not sure if you have ever used this one, thought I'd mention it.
Hi g eeveregee
I have loved St Tropez also. But the last tube I got had to be a different formula. It was darker and almost more watery. It went on splotchy and just looked awful. When I tried to re-order the comments agreed with my assessment and said they have changed the formula. Have you found this to be true also?
I love Vita Liberata! I never used self tanners until my daughters wedding. It goes on beautifully and lasts until you exfoliate. Thanks for sharing Dominique!
Any chance of doing makeup tips for women age 70 plus who know their skin has changed but want to look great? Seems like blusher, bronzer and lip color are more difficult to look natural as we age. We need color and are not always sure how much to use. Loving your tips.
Lovely idea, Carol! I'll make that happen..
I would recommend putting red or pinks on the eye it makes you look younger!
Check out Boom Stick products!! Simple, gorgeous on aging Goddesses, less is really MORE you will see in the videos. I use them often during travel to keep it simple, and for blush on quick prep days at home.
L8tr
Oh also a quick tip, I use disposable rubber gloves, the clear ones. Goes on smooth and you throw them out after. Nothing to wash or create bacteria with. Dominque I love watching you, you are such an inspiration.
Me too, I buy a giant box at Sam's
Thank you, Dominique, for doing all the homework and giving the info on self-tanners. Your skin looks nicely tanned!
Love your channel and just turned my sister on to it, thanks! I like the St. Tropez Self Tan Classic. I use it how you suggest but put Vaseline on the palms of my hands or avoid the can suntan hand mess. Then I found the Swan Mist body mitt which comes with the hand mitt and 2 finger mitts for face and hands. I love it! Thanks for your beauty tips. I’m 57 and loving life!
Have to say, your shoulders and arms look amazing!
I love and use the Sally Hanson air brush mousse in dark. No nasty smell and looks great. 15.99, bottle lasts a long time.
I'm new to self-tanning. After seeing reviews for St. Tropez, I decided to try it. Smells great and I like the results, too. St. Tropez Gradual Tan Classic at Ulta.
My favorite too!🤗
Yea! I too use warm vanilla sugar, the Jergens glow plus the Jergens BB creme! Love this video! Love you! Thanks for sharing! 💞
Love you back! Thank you..
I know you are probably tired of doing hair tutorials, but in your most recent video I love just the subtle little flicks you can get in your short hair. Would love to see how you achieved that!
Im so thrilled I got a notification of your new clip. I usually do tanning salons but at age 53 I really need to stop that and do self-tanners. So thank you so much for the information of different Self-tanners. I loved your channel. You are beautiful inside and out, Have a blessed day!!
You look stunning! I can really see all the work you put in in the gym and out. Thanks for this!
Aw, thank you Nicole!
Dominique Sachse You're welcome!! 😊
St. Tropez is another high end tanner, awesome color payoff!!! A little trick to applying to hands, ankles, neck, face is using a makeup brush, like a blush brush, it puts it on smoother and less spotting left on knuckles, ankles, toes. ❤️ Love your videos!!!
I have both the Jergens Mousse and BB Cream. Love both. I have to try the Viva Liberata. Funny, I'm the opposite with conditioner. I need two for every bottle of shampoo.
Lorrie I also use twice as much conditioner as shampoo
Lorrie me too!! When she said that about the conditioner bottles ....I was like whaaaaa? Not me, I run out of conditioner before shampoo.
The same for me Lorrie!! I thought I must be doing something wrong, lol.
Me too! I think it's because I have long hair
I have used the Jergans Tanning Wipes for years! Love them!! They go on evenly with no streaking.
Jergens Natural Glow Wet Skin Moisturizer is my absolute fav! Jergens is on top of all my lists for go to sunless tanning! I have been using this product for 2 months and love it!
Meant to say it is to be used immediately after your shower while still wet and blot dry. Must wash hands afterward. Jergens also has a prep scrub available!
Yes, I get it!
I have wondered about that one. I will try it! :)
????....I shave my legs daily (I feel dirty if I don't).. I have noticed I see "my tan" in the lather. That is with all products. Also, do not use coconut oil, it will "move" your product.
I absolutely love the WetSkin, awesome product!
Hi Dominique, just wanted to let you know I absolutely love your channel. I'm about a year or so older than you and it's refreshing to see someone like minded. Thank you. By the way you look fabulous 💋
I absolutely love your videos!!! Thank you for being a part of our lives ❤
And I thank you for being a part of mine :)
I love Loving Tan! It lasts the longest of any I've tried! It's a mousse that goes on really evenly and has a nice guide color. I put it on at night and in the morning I'm tan and it lasts for days and days and fades naturally.
LOVE LOVE LOVE Self Tanners!!! I use them year round and in the summer I rarely go out in the sun. My favorite is the Josie Maran Argan Liquid Gold Self-Tanning Oil in the scent Vanilla Apricot. Looks like Soy Sauce when you put it on the mit, but the color it gives is just beautiful!!! And the smell is great too!!!
DebMorris1971 I was sold when I read "Vanilla Apricot". I'm going to have to see if I can get that here in Canada.
DebMorris1971 I love her body cream in the vanilla apricot. I didn't know she made a self tanner. Thanks!
Loving tan is the best on the market. I only get a week of coverage. I leave it on 3 to 4 hours instead of 2.. that just works best for my skin and desired results. I also apply it with a stiff foundation brush versus the mitt. It just gets into the skin deeper.I love this, it is the only one I will purchase.
First let say I LOVE YOU & your videos. As a 38 year-old wife and mom of two who was finishing grad school, you have helped me to take more time for me and find my inner goddess! Recently finished my MSN-FNP :-) I use self-tanners year round also. In addition to the BB cream, I love Tan Towels & St. Tropez. Great products!!!
I am just now finishing my ACGNP! Congrats to you!
Love your channel Dominique
Great review! I have been using the Coola Tan Anti-Aging Face Serum. I put one pump in my hand and mix with my regular facial moisturizer. (My face is very sensitive if I change moisturizers so this was a game changer) Viola-no need for a separate face tanner. I purchased mine at Ulta.
Good to know.. thank you for sharing!
Jan Robertson I use the Coola one too, I love it!
Jan Robertson I just got that COOLA serum too and I love it!!!
Jan Robertson a
what do you do about any dark spots on your face so they don't get darker? thx!
I use a product named Tan Towels .
I use a light moisturizer directly after I shower, then use my tan towel. If 8 dont forget, I lay a wet washcloth out to wipe my palms on immediately afterwards to avoid orange palms.
Tks for this video D !
For a gradual buildable tan, I like Ocean Potion. It smells great and gives a nice glow to the skin after a few days. For color right away, I use Sun, by Sun Laboratories. No funky smell and it gives you a really nice color!
Ocean potion is great.Great color, very moisturizing and love how it feels on my skin.I have only found it in fair to med,has anyone found it in dark?
I, too, used a tanning lotion in the mid 70's and turned a terrible color. You have encouraged me to try again! Thank you, Dominique!
Thank you for the tips! Love your videos! Personally, I love St Tropez spray from Ulta. It goes on really even and drys quickly with no smell.
Good to know! Thank you..
BRILLIANT IDEA…hair conditioner as a skin moisturizer!!!!!! I have so many bottles of leftover conditioner! MY FAVORITE TIP EVER!!!!!
Love this video.I’ve watched this so many times! Love you. Dominique! 💕👏🏼💕💕💕👏🏼
Love your suggestions! Can't believe you're 50! You look fabulous! I've been watching you since the 90's when you used to be on the morning news. I'd watch you every morning as I got dressed for high school. Love that I can now watch you here as well!
Being a red head with fair skin & freckles, I've never been able to tan. I use Josie Maran argan liquid gold tanning oil along with Banana Boat Summer Color in fair. Now if I could push my freckles together, then I will be tan
Awhile back you mentioned that you like, Mac Blush, but I would like to know what color that you are using.
Class of '89 here! Lol 46 yrs old... I definitely remember lots of baby oil tanning! Lawd! Love you girlie! So glad there's a "friend" my age on here keeping things real for us moms! I'm a single mom of 7 yrs with two daughters, 13 & 19... So yeah---> I NEED my girlfriend time on RUclips! LOL. Keep it up and God Bless! Hugs from Alabama~ Bobbie
I love sun lab. Purchased off Amazon. By far the best. A little trick use baking soda to get the brown stain off your hands. Comes right off!
Thank you! I've needed this and for any streaky bits elsewhere.
Hi Dominique! I used the Jergens Natural Glow mousse on your recommendation before a trip to Hawaii and I loved it!! It gave me some really nice color so that I didn't feel completely pale when I got to the island!! And now that I'm tanned from the summer, I will probably use it to fill in tan lines! Thanks for the tip - love your channel!
I loooooove Vita liberata.. i am useing it oil..its amazing!! And the color is amazing!! I wish to try other products . Thanks for the video.. as always amazing!!
I love my self tanner!! "Dancing With The Stars" You need to try this one. It's a mousse. Easy to put on, dries super fast. So look natural!!
Thank you for another amazing video and information on self tanners. I have been liking the L'Oréal tan wipes and can get by with using it once a week once I have achieved the color I like. There is no smell and looks very natural on me. I have a light complexion. Some of the Jergens self tanners give me a irritating rash. Also, you might try using a clarifying shampoo to wash with all over your skin to remove any oils your body may hold on to before applying self tanners. This tip was given to me by a professional for the stars.
Oh, by the way, I have a comment to add. I use the spray on my face instead of face makeup. I use the undereye concealer and concealer to put on the red area on the sides of my nose and it is perfect makeup. I use it on my arms, legs and anywhere my skin shows. The reason I tell you to take a shower when you use the product is I made a mistake of taking a bath to get off the product and it left a rings that took month to get rid with brown circles despite using bleach every time I cleaned the tub. I love your video, I buy 95% of the products you recommend and I love all the suggestions for hair and how to look younger. You are so beautiful and sophisticated. Moreover I agree with tips on hair blowout, posture and how to lead a better life. Colleen
Iv'e been using Loreal Sublime Glow for years, I love it and it smells nice! For a paraben free alternative, I like Beauty by Earth, this gives great color, but it is a bit harder to apply. I love your channel Dominique:)
Hi Dominique! I am from Ontario, Canada, have been following you for a year or more. Enjoy your videos very much! I always look forward to Thursday night. Thanks for sharing what you have learned over the years.
I'm African American so tanning products are not on my list of things to worry about however, I've seen plenty of youtubers that I love and respect talk about a product called Loving Tan. Again, I don't have a need for it so I'm not sure of the price but I thought I'd pass the info along to any of Dominique's viewers who may have used the ones she mentioned and wanted to give another product a try. Enjoy.
Where do you get Loving Tan??
pamwjones - I'm sorry I wish I could help you with that but since I don't need it, I've never had to shop for it. I'd try looking on Amazon or Sephora.
pamwjones hi, you get loving tan on www.lovingtan.com
LT isn't worth it. I ordered the express version before I went to Hawaii in March because of all the YTers that raved about it. I personally had no color after the two hour wear time and rinse off. And I mean none and I'm pale. I did seem to develop some color after 24 hours, but very minimal. If you watch YTers, they show extreme color after the two hour period.
I don't really need a self tanning lotion. We have loads of sun here in Italy. But I just love watching you. Wish I had a sister or a daughter like you. You bring so much joy to everyone. Bless you.
Aw, you're too sweet! Thank you. I'll be in Italy I a few short weeks :)
Where and when ? Would just love to meet you in person and take you out for a drink or lunch. How do I send you my e mail or my phone number. I was just watching you getting hair extensions !!! Please let me know.........if you want to, that is.
Hello Dominique, I haven't posted in quite some time. I too use the dame type of brush for exfoliating with my body scrub(though I like to make my own☺) I ONLY use a Self Tanner to obtain any bronze color. I regret the years of my youth laying in the sun, transistor radio by my side and my "Bain de Soleil" Ha! My favorite this year is Josie Maran Self Tanning Body Butter.. Great scents ..otherwise I use Vita Liberata, Thanks for your latest input on Self Tanners😊🌺🌴
and thank you for sharing some of your favorites :)
Bain de Soleil! Happy memories!
Kathryn Stewart Did you know that most Walgreens carries the Bain de Soleil "Orange Gelee" ( original formula)?! Ijust bought it for the "sensory memories" lol
I use Jergens as well; if I put it on my knees, elbows and ankles every other time I apply it seems to help keep the color even ...really like it and find that the smell is not bad. Love your channel, Dominique!
I’ve been waiting for you to do this video so thank you!! So informative since I’m a novice at using self tanning products. Any idea how these products hold up in a pool?
I was always afraid of self tanners until I started watching you now I love the Jergens but I might try others now. Thank you beautiful lady and God Bless
Soap & Glorys instant tan is AMAZING and sold at Walgreens!!!! Gives me the most beautiful brown tint.
Super, thanks for sharing!
stephanie, I just bought that as well!!! Ulta here in my town in Alabama had it on clearance for $5.99 Wahoooo. I was very impressed! Only two problems I had were due to our "lovely" humidity here. It seemed to transfer after sitting in the car, even with the a/c cranked up to freezing. Lol. Soooo, I found myself getting out at church w the backs of my knees and thighs paler. It was pretty HAHAHA. So I need to figure out how to keep it from sweating off and I'll use it more! Perfect color though! NO orange!!!!!
stephanie Farrar Thanks, I will check that out!
B Beasley I apply a light dusting of baby powder to the backs of my knees, armpits, really helps.. 😋
HMMMMM, I like it! I'll try that tomorrow!!! :) Thanks, hun!
I love the MineTan on QVC , put it all over at night then take a shower and you are left with a gorgeous tan , comes in coconut and smells awesome . Comes with an exfoliating mitt as well as the mitt to apply . Great product!
I use Loving Tan - it works really well, too! My favorite :-)
I've tried the Tan Physics, which was good, and Jergens (which doesn't really show much color on me, unfortunately).
Thanks for the video!
You're most welcome, and thank you for sharing..
I love Sally Hansen spray tan in a can! You spray it on and immediately see results! This is great if you don’t have a lot of time to apply, and a quick vacation tan!
I intend to try these and always appreciate the tips. I'd like to share that my "go to" tan product has been St. Tropez and I have been happy with it's results. I just wore a sun dress to a wedding and was very happy with the color on my legs and arms. It's lasts about 4-5 days without reapplying and looks very natural. The glove is an easy way to apply and is worth the investment. It lasts forever.
Great video - thank you! I am also a “spotted owl” from too many years in the sun, so often favor body bronzer over sunless tanner. Is there a way to avoid the way sunless tanner darkens my spots and makes them way more prominent? Thank you for your awesome channel!
If you have brown spots all over your legs, self tanners will only make those spots darker and show up more. I know, because I have tried them all !
Oh yes, an update on tan in a can would be awesome and I LOVED the eyeshadow you were wearing!!
Your arms/shoulders look fab! care to share your workout for the upper body? tks!
she has a video just for the upper arms...check out her other videos
@@cathyroetker3939 thanks.
It was a challenge to find paraben-free self tanners. I've relied on Sun Laboratories from Amazon for year. I just discovered San Tropez Bronzing Water Gel at Sephora but haven't tried it yet. Dominique, I could watch you put on makeup for hours .. and I have! Thank you so much, you always inspire me.
We love you Dominique!
Love you back Delaney!
Dominique Sachse Im from Puerto Rico but if you ever come here i'd love to meet you!
You are a very classy and sophisticated lady. Always providing great informative videos. I have been watching your videos and following your channel since the beginning and how amazing at how much your channel has grown. Thanks for all you do.
Guilty of the baby oil & iodine myself...with the tin foil...on the roof of my parent's home...circa 1986!! LOL :) Thanks so much for sharing - LOVIN me some self tanner these days! St Tropez has been my go-to for a couple of years (purchased last at sephora), but I think I will give the Jergens a go. Thanks again! Please do a video on your jewelry and watches -- love your look!
Amy H I keep going back to St Tropez. I havent found better. I am using the new Dark now.
I just busted up reading that! I did the exact same thing on the roof of my family's house in the mid 80s, tin foil and all. Sad, those real tans were so beautiful but now I am paying for it!
Amy H I
Amy H ....you had laughing when I read (1986) girl that’s the year I graduated!
Guilty as well using baby oil and iodine. Yep, thought I was looking great in my guess jeans, mall bangs with a spiral perm.
However, my def leppard shirt was stained red by the iodine.
If I could turn back time...those days were the best. No cell phone or internet...
Thank you for mentioning the products were not sponsored, but in fact purchased by you. The whole time I was watching the video I wondered about that, so thank you for saying so!
Every product I use on this channel is something that I have purchased and used myself. It makes it an authentic review that way :)
Love!! Lip and Nail colors?? Beautiful on you!
I have use Toma tan perfect since the 80s. I couldn’t believe how well it works and how natural an immediate. Low odor. I had to order it online with that cheesy commercial back in the 80s and the palm trees in Florida. Now they coming to spray a towel and the cream. It has a color guide like chocolate pudding so you can see exactly where it needs to go. I applied it and have been applying it with non-late text gloves. The only place I know you can get it now is Sally’s
The Vita mousse was a mess for me. I must have bought a defective because it came out liquid all over the place. Yes, I did shake it etc..it was a pretty color. So I ventured out to the Josie Maran self tan butter and oil. I loved the oil and the glove applicator is super soft. The downside is having to put it on before bed since it takes 5hrs to set but it didn't smell like the DHA of other tanners. In fact the hubby complimented the juicy mango scent. I was in shock! Anyway, I use skincare that causes it to come off my face, neck and chest. This is the best part...I just add a little of the oil on the glove every other night and add it. Very simple and not messy. Plus the tan lasts on my body for the full 5 days. It's a beautiful bronze color. Josie wins and I've tried every drug store brand and a few expensive ones.
AERO BONDI SANDS! I'm a lighter olive complexion and new to the self tan, but their products blended out beautifully and so easy to achive a smooth natural looking tan ! I love that vita liverata body blur as well.❤
I always had good results with Loreal Sublime Bronze Self Tanning Towelettes. They give a streak free finish. Also thanks for mentioning about the smell which is my least favorite thing about self tanners.
I love watching you. You are so informative. I think you have a given talent.
Tan Towels work great and are not messy
Yes, so true!
I use a Korean exfoliating cloth. They are Amazing at removing dead skin before self tanning. Great video, thank you.
Dominique do you feel self tanners make any dark spots, aka age spots, from the sun on the skin much darker? If so, how do you deal with that during application? Thanks :) ~Holly
Holly yes they do. I have lots of spots & self tanners make them look so much darker😕
I don't think if there is anything we can do about it!! Unfortunately....
Holly ... Three months before summer hit here in Michigan I stumbled across Organic Coconut Oil and Raw Honey videos to help fade fine lines. Well it actually fades dark spots, freckles and helps eliminate cellulite! Not kidding! I was amazed by the results. Of course with self tanning i stopped that routine cuz it would defeat self tanning lol. But come October I am using it faithfully till May and hoping the spots remain faded during summer. I do use a wet q-tip and dab the bad spots so the self tanner doesnt make them darker. Helps some.
Where did you get this product and the name of it. Thank you. I do not like my freckles and age spots.
Agree. That’s why it’s not for me
I use a Q-tip with a little lotion and dab it on the worst of my spots a few minutes before tan application. After tan application I dip a Q-tip in hydrogen peroxide and dab over the spots. It's not perfect, but it does help.
Excellent video…Just realized that it’s an older post. I agree with all your tips and tricks. Today is the first time I am going to use a mousse with a mitt! Thank You Beautiful! 😘
Bare Minerals has a Great one also. It's a little pricey but worth it.
Paula Prosser BM Faux Tan is my fav but I don't think they make it anymore. I have not been able to find it on their site. Where have you purchased yours? Thanks
Lisa Ashburn I purchased mine on QVC.
it also comes with a brush applicator. I Love how soft it is and the brush is like the size off an egg.
A friend of mine loved the Bare Minerals self tanner. When I looked to purchase it I couldn't find it anywhere online and it stated somewhere that it is being discontinued. Where do you purchase yours?
It was recently on QVC with the brush applicator. Check to see if it is still available.
I’ve been a big fan of Lancôme Flash Bronzer for many years. It just gives an incredible, warm, natural looking tan. I receive so many compliments on it when people find out its a self tanner. It’s a bit pricey since it’s Lancôme but so worth it, and it will pretty much last me the whole season. They make a formula for the body and just for the face (but you can use the body one on your face too).
Just a quick question, what brand and color lip product are you wearing???💄💋💄
I was wondering the same thing!
Edna Cave u
Edna Cave Dominique always finds the perfect lipsticks for her skin tone. I've never been able to do that.
Her lip color looks good on her. I've learned that just because it looks good on others it won't look good on me. It has to do a lot with skin color. I have seen videos here with gorgeous Tom Ford Lipsticks Color and when I have gone and purchase for myself I end up with an expensive Lip Color in my drawer that I cannot use because it makes me look dead.
Same here. Lately I've been having trouble finding the perfect color for my skin tone. They are too light or too dark. 😫
I simply love Dominique’s videos! I’ve enjiyed all of them and learned a lot.
