I’m from Germany and I came here for the first time in 2014. Fast forward to today, I am a permanent resident now and I am not planning on leaving this city ever again 😄 it’s so interesting seeing the city through a “new tourist’s” eyes. My personal (and completely biased 😂) opinion is that Brisbane is the better Sydney. I love the inner city because it’s really not that big, but the suburbs around it, up to like 30 mins away are so nice as well. Noosa, Gold Coast, various islands, everything you need is close by! I also was so confused about the closed cafes on Sundays at first but it’s just because the CBD is dead on Sundays. All the cafes around the inner city are open because that’s where everyone is. Glad you liked it here! 😊
