Nice to see the Police exercising some common sense here. A nail biting finale! No damage, no theft and no harm done, these guys are like the Guardians of abandoned buildings! Great entertainment, cheers met. 🤣🤣👍👍👍
Watched many films here from Moonwalker, who framed Rodger Rabbit to Pirates of the Caribbean, quite sad to see this but with the Internet prices Netflix ect its a dying thing now, thanks for the upload
Most Showcase cinemas were built to the same standard design, I cannot believe they left so much in the projection room especially the Dolby sound processors, one NEC DLP projector (looking very cannibalised) one Christie Console with Century JJ 70/35mm projector with Dolby Cat700 Digital penthouse Sound Reader I wonder if Bell Theatre Services were invited to get the equipment out or not? Or they just took what was needed
Interesting that when this multiplex was being built..the ABC cinema nearby with huge screens run by Cannon said it would continue and thrive..unfortunately after a year it had to close despite being there for over 50 years as the competition and public appetite for multiplexes were new but ultimately .more appealing..ironic it now closed itself !
There's an abandoned Cinema in Bargoed, a former mining town in South Wales, eight miles north of Caerphilly. You will need permission from the owner Gethyn Mills, it also has asbestos in the roof, it used to be called "The Hanbury Cinema".
37:33 - 'if you come back there will be problems' - you do know trespass is a civil matter? The police can't do anything, only the property owners can ask you to leave.
Most showcase cinemas I've seen look the same, same building layouts, used to work in the Nottingham one, was nice to see the insides of the projection rooms of showcase
