The Invincible theme when Mark lets go against Angstrom is just *chef's kiss* with the hero's theme immediately distorting as he goes full Viltrumite. Also in that other dimension where Eve is bald they also refer to Rex as he's dead so he probably does something similar in every dimension. Also shows that Robot would also still be a narcissistic psycho stealing his name XD
In the comics it WAS a spiderman universe Mark ended up in. They couldnt get the rights though so they did the "legally distinct" thing. Ofc as you realized they got one of the OG spiderman va's to really bring the point home

I absolutely cannot wait for the next season.
Debbie really is the best mom, she raised this Mark, but even after her arm was broken, when she could very well die, she was concerned with Oliver's safety first. True MVP. Also really hope to see y'all add My Adventures With Superman to your list, y'all would love chill anime slice of live superman.
Montana GROSSLY underestimating the strength of arm bones thinking you could just break them with your hands is crazy. Hundreds of pounds of pressure. I’d be impressed if the dudes in strongman competitions were able to break a healthy adult’s bones with bare hands like that
I really liked how Eve understood that Mark didn't need to hear a nother variation of "You had no choice". She knows in Marks case ' Heavy is the head that wears the crown' and Mark doesn't want it but it's his. Anissa is on a different level of hot but Eve is all that.
I like to think the comics universe is different too so there's at least one other out there, but they're two out of an infinite number of universes so will never overlap

The weapon that mark was holiding was indeed from fortnite and it called"the dragon's breath" just to know in the time the episode was released the weapon was in the shop of the game so its an interesting move 😂
the reason mark had that web on his back was because he told spider man what was happening so he webbed to his back to come help him but the portal severed it
In the comics it’s actually Spider-Man, obviously they couldn’t use him in this show but that didn’t stop some fans from composing about it. Also the same guy made the walking dead. My favorite episode of the series so far. I always get emotional watching this one.
'I feel the suffering of lesser beings... and it upsets me.' Well, great. Eventually maybe you can cut the 'lesser beings' crap, but baby steps! Heheheh.
The scene when Mark finally lets go as he's theme plays in the background getting darker and darker gotta be one of the best animated scenes ever. It's so quick, but has such an incredible emotional journey leading to it; the whole arc that we see the character going through, from wishing to have powers to seeing what what they mean and where they come from (Viltrumites) to finally embracing it and using it with purpose against someone else... So cool
@@TheSteiner12 justifying someone & trying to understand a situation are 2 different things. obviously nobody is defending him attacking a innocent women & child but it’s made quite clear he literally has 100+ other minds that have experience trauma from this family..
Yeah that’s Spider-Man. There is an official crossover comic detailing what happened when Mark went through the portal and met Spider-Man and other Marvel characters. The web connected to Mark when he was flying back through the portal was Spider-Man holding on to him to come through the portal and help in Mark in his fight, Levy just closed the portal before he could get through.
No one wins in Mark’s situation. No protecting, no vengeance none of that saves ANY part of this. All you have is a LOT of hurt people in an unimaginable amount of pain. And if there IS an afterlife Aangstrom won’t be ok in ANY reality. There’s a massive divide between the right thing to do and the necessary thing to do. And I’ve heard many make it sound WAY too easy to know what they would do at their most basic of instincts. And everyone always focuses on the powers being what you use to decide who is in control. And in the superhero world, ALL of them, the hero is the one in control of himself and/or learning how to control himself. While the villain is always lacking restraint no matter how controlled/controlling they seem. And when that line has to be crossed for the hero…it devalues their efforts. Batman, Superman, Spider-Man, all have to be at the PEAK of control to get the ultimate result they desire. Mark…fell to what Omni-Man did to him. What could be worse? Poor Old Eve put current Eve in a REALLY rough position and Mark being the ultimate decider only makes things worse. That’s a hard situation for ANYONE. Much more for 2 teenagers. I have not been fond of Invincible’s romance plots across the show, but THIS one has me significantly more intrigued what complex mindsets will come out of this one.
“What could be worse?” Mark holds back on killing Angstrom, which gives Angstrom the opening to portal Mark away for in some random dimension for good. Then he goes back to Mark’s home to finish off his family. Nothing wrong with Mark killing Angstrom. It was 100% justified and Mark will learn to move on. This in no way devalues Mark’s efforts. The comparison of what Omni-Man did to Mark with what Mark did to Angstrom is honestly ridiculous. This is gonna be a win for Mark in the long run.
@@jimmy3261You are looking at this from a very simplistic angle. The fact that Mark lost control and "killed" Angstrom Levy would cause very serious consequences. In addition to the fact that Mark (Earth's Strongest Superhero) is out of action and trapped in a desert dimension forever, his absence as Earth's Strongest Superhero would condemn the world to genocide and slavery with the eventual arrival of the Viltrumites. The apocalyptic events of season 3 will show that if Mark hadn't been on Earth, the world would have been doomed.
Sterling K. Brown was actually nominated for an Emmy for his voice-acting in this episode (which is somehow the only Emmy nomination this series has had so far)
One of the biggest strengths from Invincible definitely come from not being prohibited from major changes. DC and Marvel have a hard time because the have to play it safe a lot of times, and need to stick to the status quo. Invincible feels like a superhero universe that was allowed to have a proper beginning to end with story plots that majorly affect the cast.
"When we found this dimension, the guardians already had 4 time machines at their disposal" Meaning time travel came after. They found him in the state they want to alter, so traveled to dimension and then time traveled from there to open a dimensional portal to send him to his original dimension in his original time.
This episode aired when my own son who I also named Oliver was only four months old. The scene of Debbie and Engstrom absolutely devastates me every time I see it.
Great finale, honestly I may have enjoyed it more than the first season finale. As for any other "super-hero" shows that you'd want to watch. X-Men 97 would honestly be a great one. The new My Adventures with Superman show has been super enjoyable too. Also Young Justice and Harley Quinn. I think those four are all great places to start. If you want something more old school (and more of an investment) The original Superman/Batman/Justice League show are also generally held in high regard. Could pivot to Batman Beyond from there as well. On the Marvel side there's always Spectacular Spider-Man, Earth's Mightiest Heroes and What If?
Fun fact: Agent Spider is really Spider-Man but off brand because in the comics Invincible actually meets Spider-Man and Peter wanted to help him. But sinde Disney owns the rights with Spider-Man copyright came into play and we have this gorgeous man here. And even better this spider is voice by Josh Keaton who is well known for voicing Spider-Man in Spectacular Spider-Man (the best version!) and only my head canon but when Agent Spider-Man said he's been dealing with different dimensions its hinted he's part or knows of the Spider-Verse from the Miles Morales films....so if he makes a appearance in Beyond, i will be beyond happy pun intended 😂
This entire season has been the Invincible crew wondering how devastated they can make us feel about Mark and Debbie, and the answer is *very* devastated. Mark in particular made me so much more sad this season than in season 1, because he has been trying to convince everyone around him and himself that he's not like his father, and then he kills someone in a fit of rage that reminds him of his father. To be clear, I don't think Mark's actions here are deplorable, I just think it's something he normally wouldn't ever do, and his disturbance at his actions shows it. It reminds him so much of Nolan that it makes him sick.
The minute Josh Keaton was announced as part of this season's cast, everyone and their brother speculated if he would be voicing Spider-Man since Spidey and Invincible did have a comic crossover. While that's not quite what we got, this is a good substitute.
I watched this season twice, now a third time watching your guy's reactions 😅 (love your videos!), but what I realized during my second watching was that even though Angstrum dies, he still kinda of won. He made this universes Mark a killer, and that makes the scene after Mark beats him hit even harder.
Also reminds me of the book "things fall apart" the main characters father was so hated, he spent his entire time being the opposite and was still hated.
I've pointed this out to other reactors, but not only does Debbie and Mark have the same black eye, but so does Omniman. Also when Omniman is talking to Alan and says "let the boy have a moment of peace" I think it's great writing because to me at least it's showing that Mark's Dad is the only one who truly knows what Mark is going through. While simultaneously Mark is sitting there going through this see saw in his mind of wanting to be like his father and now not wanting to be like his father
The Spider-Man looking characters were from an Invincible/Spider-Man crossover comic called "Marvel Team-Up 3 #14" It's a pretty decent comic. The Batman scene isn't actually from a crossover comic it's from the Invincible issue this episode was based off, since they didn't have something like that but the scene was almost exactly as it was in the show.
the Invincible creator IS the walking dead creator actually. explains all the walking dead actors voicing so many of the characters in invincible, and the crossover.

I read it as both of them realizing that Angstrom no longer had his human shield and so Mark had the opportunity to close the distance. Angstrom said " Oh I agree, come get me." because he was baiting his portal trap. Makes more sense like this to me.
@@jerryvanim-botting482 well yeah, he *was* baiting him but the "I agree" was him saying the feeling is mutual. the "come get me" was the real bait and Mark went right for it
The Invincible theme when Mark lets go against Angstrom is just *chef's kiss* with the hero's theme immediately distorting as he goes full Viltrumite. Sterling K Brown absolutely KILLS it as Angstrom too! Also, in the comics that literally was a crossover with Spider-Man, though its clear they didn't want to deal with Disney to get the rights for a cameo lmao
Edit: Slight hints at spoilers further down:
When Eve calls Robot by the name Rex:
People who don't know: oh interesting
People who know: :(
I hope we get a certain Hell Spawn and Witch though next season as cameos since they are Image owned.
Edit: BIG spoilers further down:
Even if Mark disappeared Rex sacrificed himself for something or someone. That's crazy, right?? It shows how much Rex is ready to put himself on the line no matter the situation.
Season 3 can't get here soon enough! 💜
Kenny face after find out who is agents spider voice actor😂
And Montana like: what happened to you🤨
I was the same way when I first heard Josh Keaton's voice! That series and his voice is legendary 😌😁
6:49 Angstrom is just reading Mark's body language.
I read these comics in high school and remember the day I picked up the final issues and damn I love seeing people react to it. It’s such a good story and I’m glad Kirkman is heavily involved and using his knowledge of how the story goes to make changes that he felt were better for the pacing and overall story.
Have you guys seen orbheard of BLUE EYE SAMURAI yet? Just won an award, and right upnyour alley w/ psychology, history, and magnificent art.
Montana GROSSLY underestimating the strength of arm bones thinking you could just break them with your hands is crazy. Hundreds of pounds of pressure. I’d be impressed if the dudes in strongman competitions were able to break a healthy adult’s bones with bare hands like that
Right? That was crazy thinking even for her. You cannot tell me it's an easy task to break people's bones 😅
Bro the "I miss my wife" had me PUNCHING THE AIR LMAOOO like bro after EVERYTHING THAT'S HAPPENEDDDDDD
I really liked how Eve understood that Mark didn't need to hear a nother variation of "You had no choice". She knows in Marks case ' Heavy is the head that wears the crown' and Mark doesn't want it but it's his. Anissa is on a different level of hot but Eve is all that.
Angstrom Levy’s voice acting was spectacular
Its crazy to think that this Mark, the prime Mark, is the only invincible that isn't evil!
Only one who isn't evil who survived the fight with Omni-Man, that is.
I like to think the comics universe is different too so there's at least one other out there, but they're two out of an infinite number of universes so will never overlap
you missed the first mark and eve romance moment one of the earlier episodes even went in for a kiss but mark flew away and later she went to his window to try again and amber was there very subtle but still clear
eve not even (face palm)
The gun that Mark used to hit Levi is canonically from his time spent in the Fortnite universe
The weapon that mark was holiding was indeed from fortnite and it called"the dragon's breath" just to know in the time the episode was released the weapon was in the shop of the game so its an interesting move 😂
Lmaooo mark must’ve won a victory royale and came back SWINGING
He was gone for a little bit😂
He and Amber JUST BROKE UP! This is honestly where the Show is better. Where Mark doesn't leave Amber and IMMEDIATELY get together with Eve
the reason mark had that web on his back was because he told spider man what was happening so he webbed to his back to come help him but the portal severed it
In the comics it’s actually Spider-Man, obviously they couldn’t use him in this show but that didn’t stop some fans from composing about it. Also the same guy made the walking dead.
My favorite episode of the series so far. I always get emotional watching this one.
When I found out that eve loved mark I just smiled of happiness 😊
8:59 “Someone draft Debbie” this the best reaction to this scene😂😂
Mark's approach to being a superhero is perfectly represented by how he handled bullies like Todd.
"They say what you see in your own dreams are something happening to your other version of your self"
Low-key love that concept.
@HaydrogenBomb imagine your self are chased by a monster with a laser that means it's happening to you in another universe 🙂😂
I keep dreaming that I am getting killed by random accidents every night 😶
so a random me in the multiverse is dating jennette mccurdy? cool.
@@DeGenerate-lt3up Whodat?
The whole fam got matchin black eyes
'I feel the suffering of lesser beings... and it upsets me.'
Well, great. Eventually maybe you can cut the 'lesser beings' crap, but baby steps! Heheheh.
23:18 when she looks over at him so annoyed at his over specification was funny cant lie
Nolan also has a black eye on his right eye at 49:48
The scene when Mark finally lets go as he's theme plays in the background getting darker and darker gotta be one of the best animated scenes ever. It's so quick, but has such an incredible emotional journey leading to it; the whole arc that we see the character going through, from wishing to have powers to seeing what what they mean and where they come from (Viltrumites) to finally embracing it and using it with purpose against someone else... So cool
this episode was more bloody than the comics, plus Angstrom was more psychotic than his comic book counterpart
Angstrom Levy(Unlike the Viltrumites) isn't actually evil. He is extremely mistaken.
@@Davi.A.B.2004 ehh i think threatening to kill an infant child is pretty evil
@@TheSteiner12 You try having 999 other voices in your head and see how long you don't go insane.

@@TheSteiner12 justifying someone & trying to understand a situation are 2 different things. obviously nobody is defending him attacking a innocent women & child but it’s made quite clear he literally has 100+ other minds that have experience trauma from this family..
i see you guys are working overtime for these reactions to be on time montana was just about to faint at the end lol +respect
Angstrom Levy(Unlike the Viltrumites) isn't actually evil. He is extremely mistaken.
“What could be worse?”
Mark holds back on killing Angstrom, which gives Angstrom the opening to portal Mark away for in some random dimension for good.
36:04 it's when people say "you have your mother's eyes" and Mark definitely do 😂
9:30 Now we need a Spectacular Spider-Man reaction!
Sterling K. Brown was actually nominated for an Emmy for his voice-acting in this episode (which is somehow the only Emmy nomination this series has had so far)
In the comics, they did have a crossover with spiderman, but the Show couldn't get the rights, so the cameo with Agent Spider is a nod to that.
i am SO happy you guys decided to react to this show
I loved how they gave Mark and Debbie identical black eyes. I've only just realized that Nolan has one too :(
Debbie consoling sobbing Mark... jesus, that fucks me up. sniff
I just noticed something about the Grayson family. Mark, his mom and his dad all have a matching black in this episode. 😮 Coincidence?
We need a consistent Kenny genius counter
Marks speaking to both when he said “i thought you were stronger” you’re one of the first reactors who I’ve seen pick up on that and right away.
Absolutely cannot WAIT for next week for some Hazbin! ❤️ 🎵 🎶 🔥
Invincible and now Hazbin?
You guys are on a roll man!
Sterling k brown’s voice acting is amazing, especially in this episode
One of the biggest strengths from Invincible definitely come from not being prohibited from major changes. DC and Marvel have a hard time because the have to play it safe a lot of times, and need to stick to the status quo. Invincible feels like a superhero universe that was allowed to have a proper beginning to end with story plots that majorly affect the cast.
4 years later I’m still waiting for a Teen Titans reaction 😭🙌🏾🤎🤎🤎
"When we found this dimension, the guardians already had 4 time machines at their disposal"
Meaning time travel came after.
Sony owns the rights *
Mark turned into a cannibal in the other timeline i believe when he was trapped with angstroms body for 20 years
RIP to those two random civilians he threw into different dimensions for no reason. They gotta live different lives now
Idk why but 26:00 made me laugh so hard
Bro took 12 wombo combos to the brain 😭😭😭
I love that Kenny caught on to the double meaning of the title!
"Is he talking to himself or Angstrom?" YESSSS EXACTLYYYYY
I watched this season twice, now a third time watching your guy's reactions 😅 (love your videos!), but what I realized during my second watching was that even though Angstrum dies, he still kinda of won. He made this universes Mark a killer, and that makes the scene after Mark beats him hit even harder.
Also reminds me of the book "things fall apart" the main characters father was so hated, he spent his entire time being the opposite and was still hated.
Now I hope Scooby-Doo Mystery Incorporated comes into this slot, to scratch that Gravity Falls itch
"Can he just go forever without food" Yikes.😂
I swear, that pharaoh ghost better be a reoccurring gag in the next season
33:48
@Letts React (in the live chat) That is the question of the year!😬
I've pointed this out to other reactors, but not only does Debbie and Mark have the same black eye, but so does Omniman.
Second best episode in the series so far
next season is going to be insane
The whole journey of both seasons is going to pay off big time in season 3. I cannot wait.
0:40 dude nailed it😅
"Invincible and multivers of madness "
The Spider-Man looking characters were from an Invincible/Spider-Man crossover comic called "Marvel Team-Up 3 #14" It's a pretty decent comic. The Batman scene isn't actually from a crossover comic it's from the Invincible issue this episode was based off, since they didn't have something like that but the scene was almost exactly as it was in the show.
the Invincible creator IS the walking dead creator actually. explains all the walking dead actors voicing so many of the characters in invincible, and the crossover.
