It's time for Milwaukee's 53rd annual Juneteenth parade!
Juneteenth Day celebrates the end of slavery in the United States. On June 19, 1865, Union soldiers arrived in Galveston, Texas to announce the Civil War had ended, as well as the enslavement of black people.
Every year, Milwaukee celebrates with a parade and festival and this year is the 53rd Juneteenth Celebration in the city. You can watch it all with TMJ4.

I am from Milwaukee. Attended Juneteenth celebrations when I was a child and teen. We never flew all these Pan African colors like this. Also, I am extremely disgusted that the artists that took the symbolism of the Juneteenth flag amd literally changed the colors from red, white and blue to the Pan African colors. Also, where did this yellow come from? There is a Juneteenth flag. That flag is red, white and blue. Juneteenth is not a Pan African holiday. It's a Black American Descendant of Slavery holiday that started in the USA. Get the colors right!
