  • Join me for a short overview of the Cessna 310 while I fly home from Pembroke to Peterborough.
I add some photos and videos from other trips with the airplane to keep things a little more interesting as I drone on about performance and ownership.

Good to see you making videos again. Professional and informative as usual. My Aztec is a week away from finally getting done. I have a couple of videos up on RUclips showing the progress of you’re interested. Safe travels

Thank you kindly. I really need to get a new computer for the editing, it has become very slow and many files it won't process anymore!
I am going to check out your new videos now. Happy Tailwinds.

Such a gorgeous plane. The short nose, canted tank, three bladed, swept stab models just catch my eye and hold it. Such a rakish beauty.
I’m an A&P, and I think if I ever picked one up I would finally be inclined to get my IA. Oh, and a pilots license and a twin rating. :). Those might help.

Yes I agree on the 310 but still got the Aztec. Love my 65 C model Piper Truck. 🙂

Hope to one day have a 310. Got my ME in an Aztec. Currently fly a D model out of KFTY. Might have to get my A&P first 😂.

Yes the A&P will be a big help. Other options include winning the lottery, large inheritance, robbing a bank, getting hired as a big shot VIP lol 😂.
Aztec and 310 are both wonderful airplanes to fly.

Same, I just love this aircraft, wrote a comment about my A&P…regardless, the 310 makes a big hole in the sky to dump money into. Sigh, maybe I’ll just have to settle for a 140 and an imagination.

@@fastbackflying853 :) yeah all the options are needed. I just wish the Aztec was faster. It is great with short field takeoff and landings...just slow for a multi engine. Useful load is amazing though :).

Great job on your 310, everything your saying is spot on, can’t believe you figured out the flow divider, I’ve seen 2 bad ones at my friends shop, one had corrosion the other had ingested bits of deteriorated rubber hose.

Thanks for your comments. The flow divider was a bit of a shock to say the least!

Neat plane. Neat video. Thank you!
My multi time is limited, a couple of hours in a Seneca. I see the attraction. Buying the plane, even a little putt putt like my Musketeer, is just the first step. You have to maintain it as well. I've seen too many planes rotting on the apron because their owners couldn't afford an engine rebuild.

      Really glad you enjoyed it.
I fear neglected airplanes will become more common as prices for parts gets ever higher.
Do you have any travel plans for the spring and summer in the Musketeer?

@@fastbackflying853 There are lots of places i'd like to go. Visit my old home base Langley CYNJ. Visit WHG's original Canadian home Springbank CYBW. Fly to Yellowknife CYZF and say hi to the Buffalo folks. Lots more. But we keep having really rough fire seasons in B.C. which isn't conducive to going anywhere...

Well 172 costs have gone up significantly and alot of Cessna 172 aircraft have higher hull values than an early 310. Alot of 172 Owners also have alot less flying experience so that can cause rates to be higher. I pay 60 percent cost compared to a number of 172 customers that I have.
