      I maintain blue line (Vy single engine=113 MPH) from downwind to base to final. When on final I normally slow down a little further to around 100-105 MPH just before landing. Reid Hillview Airport has a very short usable landing length ( slightly more than 2500FT) due to the displaced threshold. Thus, landing in the shortest distance as possible is what I am aiming for.

    Great video. Used to fly a Twin Comanche (N40DA) out of there. Does the 310 always tend to roll left on lift off?

      The 310's I've been in all seem to fly pretty straight. I haven't watched this particular video in a while but if the plane is tending to roll left on the takeoffs in the video it is probably due to my inputs potentially over correcting for wind.

    Are you able to purchase 100LL at Reid Hillview?

      I have not tried. However I am certain the despicable Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors has stopped the sale of 100LL. Going forward I will now always be taking off with less than full tanks. In most cases it will be under half tanks. The safety risk this imposes on my family is exclusively the fault of the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors.
      The banning of 100LL without a 100 unleaded replacement is the biggest threat to our freedom to fly in the United States. Bogus lead studies will be used to shut down airports elsewhere if it is allowed to happen at Reid Hillview Airport. If lead were really a problem then the banning of sales of 100LL would make the already small exposure to lead nonexistent. Yet with the banning of 100LL in place at RHV, the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors, lead by the developer money grifting Cindy Chavez, still voted to close the airport. If you live in the area then vote them out when given the chance and send them emails/calls letting them know we are aware of their BS.
