Hello Barry, I know this piece from the Shadows, and your playing is very amazing. I like the sounds you play and and send greetings from Germany to New Zealand, Leonora Lily
Nicely done. Got a couple of questions for you. First, was this a custom style? I have an older Korg PA800, and I know the Tyros 5 can do a lot more than my PA800, and I'm pretty sure that you can create your own styles for the Tyros. I know you can. So, is this something you created or bought? Next, was there a sequence running, or do you have a foot pedal/pedals that allow you to change style variations? I saw the style variations move from 1 to 2, then to 3, and then back to 2, back to 3, etc., all with no panel input. So, either it's running a sequence of some sort or another, or you have a really nice pedal setup for it. The Korg has a five switch pedal, but mine has gone missing (long story) and I need to replace it. Unfortunately, Korg discontinued implementation of this pedal in the new PA5X, which is kind of a disappointment. You could program all five switches for whatever you wanted. Would you, or are you, considering upgrading to the Genos, and if so, why? Have you looked at the new PA5X 76 from Korg? That's the one I want to replace my PA800 with, when they become available in the U.S. Again, nicely done, you're a better player than I am.
Hi Gary, I have created styles on the Tyros, but this one I purchased from Heidran Dolde. There is a sequence that I have setup and is controlled by a foot pedal. This keeps my hands free. I doubt that I will be purchasing a Genos due to cost. I am retired. Thank you for your interest and kind comments.
@@barryadie249 I thank you for the answers. I know there were some styles that both Yamaha and Korg created which were almost song specific, but I didn't think this was one of them. I do know you did a great job on this. As to the cost of a new keyboard, yeah, tell me about it. I'd really like to upgrade my PA800 to the new PA5X, it's just head and shoulders above everything else on the market, as far as I'm concerned (although the Ketron Event might give it a run for it's money), including the Genos. But, here in the U.S., with the PAaS speaker system, and taxes and stuff, I'm looking at $6,600 or so, and right now, I don't have that kind of cash sitting around. But, one day . .. 😃😁
