After extensive research it is rather obvious how the planet Neptune impacts a society. War War 2 begin right as Neptune entered Virgo. During the Swati period, it was the doo-wap boy band type era. The hippie era was during Vishaka. The sex fueled/disco-era was during the transit through Scorpio. The Reagan years/heavy metal years were through Moola. The Grunge era/early to mid 90s was through Purvashada. Things became rigid and hierarchical during the transit through Capricorn, as people started to worship the celeb mentality. And now we are in a transit through Aquarius(technology,science, mass movements,etc). Now the kicker is that eventually Neptune will transit through Purvabhadrapada and into Pisces. Last time Purvabhadrapada transit occurred caused massive unrest which was the precursor of the Civil War. The Civil War broke out in Pisces which caused a massive destabilization of society. When Neptune transits Pisces, it means the collective conscious mindset is that of the wanderer/nomad. Some sort of destabilization of society is likely to occur leading into this period.
Uranus and especially Neptune I think hold a lot of importance within astrology. You said they can't be tied to any family member so they're more difficult to understand but I have to say, I've seen a consistent theme over the years with people having personal planets in harsh aspect to neptune, specifically sun/venus, suffering abandonment issues tied to the father figure, where father has some sort of addiction, is incarcerated, completely absent, etc. and this is including myself. Neptune also dissolves the ego and makes it hard for a person to truly know themselves and feel grounded in reality. I've also seen how erratic uranus can be in a chart. I know you posted this years back and you might have looked in to these planets more by now & maybe had a change of mind, but if not i strongly encourage you to do so. I would be missing many key pieces of information if I were to ignore these 2 big planets.
I've been studying astrology (by myself, learning from books, web-sites, videos, through conversations, my own reflections) for 7 years now and am open to all systems. One can find some truth everywhere. Sidereal zodiac works prefectly for me, not equal signs, but the actual constellations. Anyways ... I have to conclude that Uranus and Neptune (and Pluto) do matter. They reflect so clearly in the charts of people, especially when they are prominent. There is always something intense/penetrating about the people with Pluto in the first house, unusual/striking about people with Uranus in the first house and dreamy/compassionate with Neptune in the first house, when one meets them in person. Not to mention their influence when they are conjunct an angle or in any other aspect with it.

Uranus does have a very big impact on my life. It's like my other side got activated all of a sudden, my Venus, Uranus and Neptune are in Aquarius. All of a sudden I became more analytical, intellectual and rebellious than I was already before. Aquarius became so strong in me. And having moon in cancer, I liked this. It become a balance between my emotional and analytical thinking. I like this balance.
Uranus brings great insight in how society and people function. However, it does make you disappointed in people and society. It creates a rebelling nature in the person. I started with learning about vedic astrology then gradually moved towards the western astrology. I agreed with most of vedic astrology but still felt quite a lot of things missing though, questions unanswered. But after incorporating them with western astrology it made sense of why I was so intense. Neptune, Uranus, Pluto, Lilith, etc have a huge impact on us especially if conjunct angles, or in major houses, aspecting your personal planets, I realised why I wasn't like any other Leo sun and moon, how I think, I'm pretty Neptunian and Plutonian which makes my thinking a hell lot intense where I don't fit in with people who aren't like me.
Yes! I have squares to Pluto with my sun and moon and it’s also sextile my midheaven. I made another comment about my other aspects with the outer planets but these effect me greatly. Never realized how much they all played into my life. Also have a fixed grand cross so it definitely feels personal lol
It's funny I have the opposite experience although now that you mention it I think I may have taken my western side for granted when I started into vedic. It's always easier to take off than add on. But seriously, vedic astrology filled a huge gap for me especially with regards to the Karakas. It's literally like a textbook of your life. I matched up dates to events it was shocking how accurate it is. I was going to say that I feel like vedic chart is the actual soul contract while the western chart is more of a positive affirmation tool, but you've changed my mind. I think they're both equally useful. Pluto is Scorpio in my ASC, so I'm affected by Pluto e etu single day and I feel it. Especially since he's squaring Venus in Leo in the 10th! Do you know how many dodgy things have happened to me publicly?! Do you know how many times people tried to sue me? 😂😂😂 So western astrology has helped in that way (of giving me tips for such situations).

It doesn't take Uranus 15 years, it has been in Aries since 2011 and will leave Aries in 2018. I have natal Uranus, Pluto and Moon on my 6th house. Right now Uranus in Aries is opposite my 6th house where I have Jupiter transiting. Uranus moved in Aries ( opposite my 6th house ) on March 11th 2011, on March 29 I got diagnosed with Cancer. It was a surprise alright because based on the scans and biopsy it was supposed to be a bening tumor only. And since 2011 ( I was 31 ) my health has been turned upside down and inside out it seems. I was athletic, had a great job ( worked for UN ), ended up quiting my job and barely being active at all. I had 4 major surgeries ( one more to go ) and two types of cancer.

An experienced astrologer predicted that this placement in my chart will get me an eccentric, overly independent partner who will not like conventional relationship and might like having simultaneous or multiple relationships. Jyotish (Astrology) is the study of light. Uranus is only (barely) visible a few days a year, and Neptune is not visible from Earth. I would see it as valid to study Uranus during it’s light phase.

Uranus actually changes signs every 7-8 years. And I've seen a lot of interesting things happen to people with close conjunctions or oppositions of uranus to personal planets (me being one of them with an exact opposition to mg Venus from Uranus) I was also able to predict some pretty huge life changing events in a couple of my clients lives based on seeing uranus transiting the ASC or DSC. I agree than I haven't seen as big of an impact from neptune or pluto, however in my personal life ive noticed I had pluto opposing a stellium of my personal planets beginning in 2002 and lasting until 2020 when it will oppose my mars and whenever those aspects are exact, I feel them deeply with all very plutonian themes. I practice vedic astrology for its accuracy in prediction but I dont rule out the outer planets. I just see if they are echoing the same themes as inner planets.

Perhaps those planets stay 15 years in one place but the others planets are going to aspect both while they transit. I study both vedic and tropical astrology and I identify much more with my sidereal chart. With that said, I am a Pisces rising in my tropical chart. I have Neptune and Uranus conjunct and I do not feel particularly connected to any of my family members. Viewing Neptune and Uranus as co-rulers makes sense for me in my tropical chart bc of the lack of support I feel from regarding my family.
He's right tho. But I believe these 2 planets affect the Earth as a whole. Not an individual. They are too far to affect every individual in every life. And they are too far to even leave a solid effect despite them being in a sign for long. +claronium 780 It's a silly rule. Take this for example: if Scorpio is ruled by Mars mainly, then why is Mars a bad placement in the 8th house? Simply because Scorpio's main ruler is Pluto. For all we know, our own galaxy has influence on us.

It's funny I have the opposite experience although now that you mention it I think I may have taken my western side for granted when I started into vedic. It's always easier to take off than add on. But seriously, vedic astrology filled a huge gap for me especially with regards to the Karakas. It's literally like a textbook of your life. I matched up dates to events it was shocking how accurate it is. I was going to say that I feel like vedic chart is the actual soul contract while the western chart is more of a positive affirmation tool, but you've changed my mind. I think they're both equally useful. Pluto is Scorpio in my ASC, so I'm affected by Pluto e etu single day and I feel it. Especially since he's squaring Venus in Leo in the 10th! Do you know how many dodgy things have happened to me publicly?! Do you know how many times people tried to sue me? 😂😂😂 So western astrology has helped in that way (of giving me tips for such situations).

I can tell u from expereince that uranus transit had a big effect on my life!Those 15 years aspecting my 10 house,i hadf no ohter plant for 10 years there,only jupiter came at 12 years,but ni rest no transit,except venus and mars.When urnaus came ,i start working in computer bussines (tehnology),became interested in science,Sf movies over night,and all futuristic stuff.
I think uranus is important as transit,lets say u live 40 years,he is only aspecting 2 houses,but if that asperct is near ur MC,ascendent,personal planets(mars,venus,etc).I think then has an effect.
I know a case some one paralysed from uransu transit,he was aqaurius,so land lord is uranus and saturn,transit at that time of the accident was only uranus near his sun and his mars.
If uranus or neptune doesnt aspect a personal planet or rising,i think then it desnt have so much effect on the chart.
It doesn't take Uranus 15 years, it has been in Aries since 2011 and will leave Aries in 2018. I have natal Uranus, Pluto and Moon on my 6th house. Right now Uranus in Aries is opposite my 6th house where I have Jupiter transiting. Uranus moved in Aries ( opposite my 6th house ) on March 11th 2011, on March 29 I got diagnosed with Cancer. It was a surprise alright because based on the scans and biopsy it was supposed to be a bening tumor only. And since 2011 ( I was 31 ) my health has been turned upside down and inside out it seems. I was athletic, had a great job ( worked for UN ), ended up quiting my job and barely being active at all. I had 4 major surgeries ( one more to go ) and two types of cancer.

Uranus actually changes signs every 7-8 years. And I've seen a lot of interesting things happen to people with close conjunctions or oppositions of uranus to personal planets (me being one of them with an exact opposition to mg Venus from Uranus)
I was also able to predict some pretty huge life changing events in a couple of my clients lives based on seeing uranus transiting the ASC or DSC. I agree than I haven't seen as big of an impact from neptune or pluto, however in my personal life ive noticed I had pluto opposing a stellium of my personal planets beginning in 2002 and lasting until 2020 when it will oppose my mars and whenever those aspects are exact, I feel them deeply with all very plutonian themes.
I practice vedic astrology for its accuracy in prediction but I dont rule out the outer planets. I just see if they are echoing the same themes as inner planets.

Kapiel, I like you a lot and I think you are very accurate, and probably you are not going to read this but...I'm not agree with you about us not taking care about Uranus and Neptune. Perhaps those planets stay 15 years in one place but the others planets are going to aspect both while they transit. Western call them interpersonal planets because they rule our psychological evolution, our mind but transcendental mind, it's not visible ... I believe in them and taking my personal experience when you have some important planet aspecting Uranus , for example,you'll have some changes in your life for sure, and it would be better if you know about it.

I study both vedic and tropical astrology and I identify much more with my sidereal chart. With that said, I am a Pisces rising in my tropical chart. I have Neptune and Uranus conjunct and I do not feel particularly connected to any of my family members. Viewing Neptune and Uranus as co-rulers makes sense for me in my tropical chart bc of the lack of support I feel from regarding my family.
He's right tho. But I believe these 2 planets affect the Earth as a whole. Not an individual. They are too far to affect every individual in every life. And they are too far to even leave a solid effect despite them being in a sign for long. Yes there were changes in the world as Uranus Neptune and Pluto transited certain signs but they affected the Earth as a whole for a while but it was other planets that made it better or worse and it's not to be studied on an individual basis. These 2 planets along with Pluto need to be studied according to a generation
