I think you'll find the "US, and west" are currently saving India from Russia's inability to fulfil orders for military equipment.

Otherwise, leaving the Baltic, it would face a hard job getting in and out. Only the Danish straits and Nord-Ostsee kanal in Germany. All NATO-controlled. But I guess, next thing we might see are Ukrainian drones showing up in the Baltic area. And what they will target, we shall see.

That I believe could be something we would experience in near future, thereby also threatening Russia in places far away from Ukraine. F16's likewise gives Ukraine the possibility to hit deep inside Russia. Or aerial drones, for that sake. Launched from neighbouring countries, possibly.
