Thanks for this Guys.I am in my 8th decade and have been to 1,783 matches at 84 Stadiums and love the banter. The only chant to explain is the "We'll Race You Back To London!"....This refers to a London team playing in the North of England so their fans, naturally, have to return back down South to London but their opponents Manchester United has a global fan base of over 650 million people. Back in their glory days, unlike most teams who had local support, their fans travelled from all over the Country leading to claims and jibes from rival fans that they were "GloryHunters" which is why the opposition,travelling fans, sarcastically, sang "We will race you back to London.
Most of these chants are made up by fans when the game is boring to amuse themselves. So I find it utterly mystifying why baseball and American football don't have the same thing because they're almost as mind numbing as cricket and golf.
