What kind of heat readings were you getting? My carb has been getting really hot, but I don't know what it's supposed to be. So far it hasn't caused any problems in how the bike is running...as far as I can tell. It's interested, the carbs will be hotter 15 minutes after I park the bike then they were when I turned it off.
Thanks I didn't realize fuel could boil in the float chamber, that would explain hard starting when hot. So what is the proper material to use for a spacer that's not heat conductive? Looking forward to more educational videos!

Depends, there are many materials but it depends on the application. Phenolic is good for manifolds for our use
