I am thinking of buying an old feature phone with qwerty keyboard for email. Do you know if the email client still work on these with Gmail and Outlook? Which one between E6, E72, E71 would you recommend? Thanks!!
This phone seems pretty decent in its functionality even though I'm not a fan of Symbian. I'm not into exclusive touchscreen phones because I hate that "look, swipe, point, tap" repetitiveness and I want to feel the buttons. Been looking for a good touch and type phone. Any other recommendations?
Hi all. I have e6. First 20 months it worked fine, but now it has lots of problems. It turns off a lot. The battery was great, but now i charge it every 20 hour. The phone is not for games and apps. Its bad for internet surfing. The great points are: camera, keyboard and gps. For those who want phone not just for texting and calling i would suggest to buy something else.
@MrGatoDelCielo Yes, it can. The 0.3 megapixel front camera is capable of video recording (176 x 144 px at 15 frame/s) for video calling or just for recording
I had this for a week, it was alright. But even when the E6 was new it couldnt compete with the mid-range offerings using Android, especially as there were many with slideout or bottom half keyboards.
is it worth the $350 price tag? Im looking for a business smartphone similar to this make. real qwerty needed. don't care for touch. Not interested in BB. I was looking at the nokia e71 & e73. Any other suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated. thanks
by the way I want to ask whether anyone know the answer...the video HD recorder...is it together with image stabilizer like Nokia C7? If it yes that mean the camera is quite considerable for video recording, but not that great for image capturing due to its fixed focus camera.
@aamirq i've now been looking at the blackberry bold 9930. I was opposed to BB before, but the touch and qwerty is a can't miss for me. And the BB OS looks a lot smoother than Symbian Anna.
@mrsmephisty I bought e6 and loving it :D, BUT ther is a problem with wifi, it starst to connect by it self and shows conn erorrs... Now im waiting for new update of anna. Hope they will fix that problem.
@dontnou3 the thing is i like phones with the full qwerty keyboard but here in australia there is not many of them. if i get the e6 i was thinking of geting playstation vita
Hi everyone I would like to know quickly is I should have this or the Sony Ericsson Xperia play. I'm going into high school next year so therefore will need a phone. I really like this one coz of the keyboard but I'm not sure about the touch screen.
I've been using this phone for over a year. You'll love it at first. Then you'll think of throwing it away but then you'll realize that you spent all your money on this so you're stuck with it for a while. The Belle OS update fixes things up a BIT. You can't use apps other Nokia phones are able to use. The OS crashes frequently mainly due to wet fingers. The Camera isn't well protected so after a while your snaps are crap. Its really solid though, you can kill with it. :P Just my two cents...
@lante07 I came from a E63 for business use only. I really love the keypad and the 5-way Scrolling (Navi key). I'm no fan of a optical track-pad like the E73, so the only options was E6 or E7. Finally I buy the Nokia e6 today. Reason for me: touchscreen/640 x 480 pixels/8 GB storage internal/680 MHz/can play AVI files and 3.5mm jack like E73 but E71 use 2.5mm jack)
Despite all hate comments (as always Android and Apple fanboys),Nokia E series phones sales are incredibly high! This phone is just a continuation of that tradition.
This device is sound almost the same with Nokia C7-00 which is not quite comfortable for heavy text-er. This E6-00 is totally what I'm looking for, compared with any other phones in the same price market, E6 is totally a kicked ass product. Anyway, the built in browser is not pretty well, but with Opera Mobile I guess there is no problem with browsing experience. Beside it's 680Mhz instead of 800Mhz but it is not mean that much with Symbian Anna OS. Really looking forward to buy this phone :D
For both of you, if you want candy bar, one piece phone (i.e.: no flip, no slide), think about N79, don't let numbers fool you, it's better than N82. If slide is OK, look for N86. But be aware that both by many standards could consider outdated.. but not really bad.
I am thinking of buying an old feature phone with qwerty keyboard for email. Do you know if the email client still work on these with Gmail and Outlook? Which one between E6, E72, E71 would you recommend? Thanks!!
i dont know why it needs a touch screen. Most people who are going to use it as a business phone, will find the touch screen hard to get used to. You might like it, but for businesses, its not as interesting as they think
@TheLycanjake1 Yeah, phones nowdays are not mobile phones anymore, because you can't leave even for a weekend without taking a charger with you. I have E72 now and I will get E6 unless Nokia releases E6-01 or something similar next year. I won't be ditching my E72 yet, but I'm worried that Nokia stops releasing these phones and goes all-in with S40/WP. So I want to be prepared.
@zubinbutt98 The Xperia Mini Pro, which I got three days ago, was a huge disappointment. Bought it primarily because of the physical qwerty, the small size and the ”good feel”, but it kept popping out of everything I was doing, and even short messages took me ”ages” to finish. Last night it accidentally fell to the floor, and it seems damaged beyond repair, which is ok. I’m glad it’s over … Ordered the Nokia E6 tonight…
@curseofpharaohs The upside is loooong battery life (6 days or so). I think there's already enough phones with big screens and poor battery life on the market.
@BlueguitarJamz I bought it 2 weaks ago, and im loving it :). If you are getting this phone get it in black it looks much hotter than white whitch i bought, couldnt found black under 220 euros :(
I'm really disappointed with the lack of auto-focus :-( Lets be serious: high density screen or touch capabilities are fancy, but not necessary at all. I have my E73 with almost everything of this plus I can capture text and convert it into notes, what I think is more useful that these new cool features. So yes, it is very impressive cellular if you want to come into Nokia's E series, but in my opinion doesn't worth an upgrade from your previous E72/E73 to this one :-(
it has a 8mpx foto camera and it can record HD video at 720 px.For a bussines telephone I think that it's great. And the battery last a lot longer than a galaxy
@SwillyNation1991 if you don't care about apps, this phone is definitely good. iphone 4 has a bigger screen and faster processor, but otherwise, if you don't care for iOS, i would pick the Nokia e6. Plus the e6 has the physical qwerty. iOS 5 looks really good though :P
Too bad Nokia has no fun games even for its smartphones. I went to checked it out today and I must say Nokia is a very good phone for business uses only.
11 years later, here I am 🥰
wow hearted comment too
I want it now..commented on Friday 29/3/2019
I am thinking of buying an old feature phone with qwerty keyboard for email. Do you know if the email client still work on these with Gmail and Outlook? Which one between E6, E72, E71 would you recommend? Thanks!!
I m still using this
This phone seems pretty decent in its functionality even though I'm not a fan of Symbian. I'm not into exclusive touchscreen phones because I hate that "look, swipe, point, tap" repetitiveness and I want to feel the buttons. Been looking for a good touch and type phone. Any other recommendations?

when you text, does it go on convosations like on facebook?
or do you have to go out of your inbox to your sentbox to see conversations?
@heydeli1 yes. there is a symbian search widget which is universal, so you can search everything on the phone and also google
Is that Belly Soft suggested to E6 or recommended. Will be there any difference in Default program?
@mrmare90 hey what kind of material did they use to this phone? is it plastic or aluminum?
Anyway if you're looking for a full touch screen smartphones, I guess there is no problem with texting if you use Swype Input.
did you installed the symbian belle with or without jellbreak ??
Is video chatting is possible in Nokia E6 ??
how the pictures in dark place? are flash is good?
@MrGatoDelCielo Yes, it can. The 0.3 megapixel front camera is capable of video recording (176 x 144 px at 15 frame/s) for video calling or just for recording

I have the E72. Would it be smart to upgrade to the E6?
do you recommand upgrade to belle? i have heard people having problem when using belle
Can you take videos with the front face camera? thanks.
is e6 better than the sony ericsson's xperia mini pro?
@TheNunoTubes yes it does have wifi and it does run flash , not sure about the hdmi , i don't think it has one
does it support flash ? if not, any workaround?
is it worth the $350 price tag? Im looking for a business smartphone similar to this make. real qwerty needed. don't care for touch. Not interested in BB. I was looking at the nokia e71 & e73. Any other suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated. thanks
What did you end up buying?
@zzzxtreme I think he means the pixel density when including the factors size and pixels.
by the way I want to ask whether anyone know the answer...the video HD recorder...is it together with image stabilizer like Nokia C7? If it yes that mean the camera is quite considerable for video recording, but not that great for image capturing due to its fixed focus camera.

Does its front cam works with skype for video calling??
@mrsmephisty I bought e6 and loving it :D, BUT ther is a problem with wifi, it starst to connect by it self and shows conn erorrs... Now im waiting for new update of anna. Hope they will fix that problem.
Nokia E6 or BlackBerry Bold 5. Which one is better?
its the name of the operating system that is used in the phone
326dpi display , higher than retina display ?
I like Nokia. But need to catch up with Internet & Multimedia. Nice description, Thanks to the Host.
Symbian still works great as a zombie, do you think that the other internet based Os would do as good?
+realmoner the nokia 210, 220,225 symbian version was totally shite...slower than the older symbian versions
That is S40 you are talking about. I said Symbian S60. the one you can multitask with.
@dontnou3 the thing is i like phones with the full qwerty keyboard but here in australia there is not many of them. if i get the e6 i was thinking of geting playstation vita
This or Asha 303?
Nokia E6 has internet radio?

i cant decide .... e6 or e72. ?
The BB Batteries are actually great...
@lante07 I came from a E63 for business use only. I really love the keypad and the 5-way Scrolling (Navi key). I'm no fan of a optical track-pad like the E73, so the only options was E6 or E7. Despite all hate comments (as always Android and Apple fanboys),Nokia E series phones sales are incredibly high! This phone is just a continuation of that tradition.
HOW IS THE TOUCH SCREEN?? FLUID OR STICKY??
This device is sound almost the same with Nokia C7-00 which is not quite comfortable for heavy text-er. @MUZAFATH yes it can ! It use a 0.3 megapixel front cam.
How can I install ? :)
i don't know why they don't include the autofocus like e72. almost perfect, what a pity.
Est-ce que l'on peut avoir un clavier azerty sur ce portable? Merci :)
They have to record the screen in the dark so that we can see the screen on.
where can i get this phone in america? ;u
@turontado117 edges are chrome, and battery cover is aluminum. The rest of the phone is plaastic. But its good quality .
@07liberian

I was talking generally though, as in, market shares.
its either this or the htc chacha,or the blackberrrybold 9900...

I miss this device. (on the way to 2022)
The last proper Qwerty smartphone from Nokia.

@@VV-wl8gb e6 its modern with updates software and more powerful cpu
can e6 watch video 480p on youtube???
Not any longer. RUclips's APIs no longer work for Symbian's devices.
You could watch on Opera Mobile, but it's bad quality.
whats symbian anna?
Is this on verizon???????
any good games in this phone??
i dont know why it needs a touch screen. Most people who are going to use it as a business phone, will find the touch screen hard to get used to. You might like it, but for businesses, its not as interesting as they think
@360trianglex2Qs no,. it does not feel like plastic.. solid screen,.. solid phone. you wont regret it.
did the new blackberry bold just copied nokia..?
@TheLycanjake1
Yeah, phones nowdays are not mobile phones anymore, because you can't leave even for a weekend without taking a charger with you. Free maps, free ms office editing, free mailing service, and a solid qwerty n touch... More than enought.... Thanks nokia!
I have it. Very satisfied.
I have the same dilemma, hard to choose one :)
I think it's major disadvantage is its small screen . other than that it's a good device
@zubinbutt98 The Xperia Mini Pro, which I got three days ago, was a huge disappointment. Bought it primarily because of the physical qwerty, the small size and the ”good feel”, but it kept popping out of everything I was doing, and even short messages took me ”ages” to finish.

Ordered the Nokia E6 tonight…
"You've got 3 home screens as with Symbian ^3" what the hell you have 4 yourself! :D you can have 5 home screens on the e6
hey it's the nevertheless guy!
@curseofpharaohs
The upside is loooong battery life (6 days or so). I think there's already enough phones with big screens and poor battery life on the market.
i had this phone in my child days
If this was cheap say around $150-$200USD I would consider it as I love the nokia full QWERTY keyboards.
Does this phone operate with whatsapp messenger?
bb9700 or e6 ?
If you want a good operating system and good apps then get an Android...
@BlueguitarJamz I bought it 2 weaks ago, and im loving it :). If you are getting this phone

it has a 8mpx foto camera and it can record HD video at 720 px.For a bussines telephone I think that it's great. And the battery last a lot longer than a galaxy

oh god, i've just watched some punjuarb review this phone, don't know y i didnt just watch urs in the first place.
The best phone ever!!..but,my nokia e72 is still in a good condition so I wouldn't change..
Too bad Nokia has no fun games even for its smartphones. I went to checked it out today and I must say Nokia is a very good phone for business uses only.
weird how people judge this phone by it's camera functionality, it's a phone not CAMERA phone, plus it's E nokia series. duhh!
Flash Lite 4 will support a majority of Flash Player 10.1 content
India price?
Does whatsapp run on this phone?
