- Hello and welcome back to Euro Football Daily where today we are running through 10 examples of footballers who beat the odds to succeed.
From Santi Cazorla who nearly lost his leg to gangrene to Arjen Robben, Luke Shaw, Petr Cech and Eric Aibdal who were all nearly forced to retire due to injury. The biggest story is without doubt though that of Seb Haller who found out he had testicular cancer weeks after joining Borussia Dortmund last summer, who has now recovered to star for the German outfit.

need more videos like this to humanize and build compassion for footballers
Compassion for footballers 🤣🤣🤣
They also have top 10 falls from grace videos
so glad these footballers overcame these insane, near-death experiences and even came back to continue playing top flight football 💙
An a gooner n watching Carzola was Amazing what a midfielder pure world vlass. N the fact he went bk n smashed it at villereal jst class
I remember abidal. Him winning the CL was such a wholesome moment.
Also the class of Wenger to offer Cazorla an extension even when it was clear he wouldn't play is why I always believe there is only one Arsene Wenger
Shaw is such a warrior
Dani alves is a real one for offering part of his liver to abidal.
Shoutout to Modric who had to live through a war and went onto become probably the Goat midfielder
This was a really good video
great vid fd. a little outside the box but i really enjoyed it
Never forget when Abidal took the trophy off Alex Song, heartbreaking moment 😂
Very interesting
should have added kanu. he had a problem with his heart and had an artificial pump implant which he played with for most of his career. Edgar Davies with his eye problem and how he played with a eye glass would have been a good addition. maybe a pt 2?
Still remember that tackle from Moreno
Careful when you compare Eriksen to Nouri and Muamba then go on to say Eriksen still playing is testament to how strong he is. The other two aren’t weak for retiring
Not to forget, gotze was recalled to the german national team squad for the wc
Here within 15 mins
Francesco Totti broke his leg 6 moths before World Cup 2006, returned and won the whole thing
Henry, should have added kaka' as well as he might be the only one who went on to win ballon d'or after having one of the worst injury
Wow Dani Alves what a g
CONNOR GOLDSON!!!
whoa whoa whoa who’s the “undisputed england’s choice at left back”?😂. Chilly when fit is head and shoulders above him
LUKE SHAW
Might be that im also Danish. But how is Erichsen not number 1? He died and came back.
First
🍪
I thought Robben was balding since childhood.
Daley blind and his heart problems
Eriksen should be first. He was literally dead for a few minutes.
