I think I know what happened, when you let a 2 stroke sit for quite a long time like a few weeks or so the premix in the gas separates from gas, so every time you let a 2 stroke sit for a while you have to shake it a lot so the gas and oil can get mixed correctly and let It warm up for atleast 2-3 minutes and ride it slow for a while. Also check the jetting and see what size pilot and main jets are in it. Maybe it was running too lean.

Okay I have watched a lot of your videos. One thing you do not do when you buy a bike you do not drain the fuel. You do not check and clean the air filter. You do not pull the carburetor and clean that. And you also do not take the needle valve out of the carburetor. When this needle valve gets hard after a year 2 years it swells up leans the bike out in Burns it up like this bike did. So my suggestion to you is drain the fuel, clean the carburetor, change the needle valve. And put Castor 927 in your fuel 32 to 1 2 40 to 1 Castor 927 is the best oil to put in your fuel. So what if you pay 38 bucks for the big jug. You pay for what you get

I always let it warm up on the stand for about 10 min or until the radiator is hot before I ride it. The cylinder takes a lot longer to heat up than the piston does. If I was a rich person probobly 2T was my choice
And i do not know how to ride on 2T, I can only imagine that FULL THROTHLE !
do you drain your fuel after riding ? you do know the 2 stroke fuels have a shelf life of 3 weeks
Top end you should have a couple of those laying around man we used to blow them up rebulid in an hour or two then back at it
The spark plug isn’t in it, you can tell it still has compression and you can here it…..
Nice guys but that fire breathing machine said “no skinny jeans!”
That old cr just had to many hours on it and you never did a compression test. So you can’t just expect it run for ever. But a 2 stroke is a 2 stroke.
You were so cool with it blowing up my brother would KILL me
I really like the bike in the truck looks like a good camp bike
