Watching this video yet again, I’m still astounded at the amount of colour available between individual stops - and combining only two or three of these already characterful stops produces even more variety of colour. It’s incredible, and more modern organ builders should take note of this.
Indeed. I was going to mention that. I have a large poster of the St Bavo organ at the top of the stair entrance to my home. It's a bit faded after 32 years but I will never remove it.
Amazing organ with a unique stop selection. The 12' stop basically is a Resultant, playing a fifth above the 16' stop making it sound like a 32' stop on the lower notes of the pedalboard. And the glockenspiel is cool too.
Oh , what a glorious sound!! Thank you Balint, not just for your wonderful musical examples, but for listing the stops while you play, as well the lovely interior shots of the church. There are some very beautiful sounds from this organ. Thank you! It’s always a treat to see you play!🌺🎶😊
The registers of this organ, from the 18th century, are truly extraordinary of great sound beauty, to be taken into account to be taken into account by any current master organist, thanks once again Balint for your teaching. Greetings friend, from Spain 💖
I always appreciation your detailed demonstrations. The space doesn't seem to have much reverberation, yet it appears to be a fair sized interior with hard surfaces.
One of the more interesting organs that you have showed us. A great deal of sound colours available in the stops as solo stops and especially in combination. The builder may have been young but he was certainly a great thinker! Thanks for making this video. I thoroughly enjoyed listening and learning about this interesting organ. I have it on a few discs and will revisit them again.
Thank you Balint for sharing. Always so interesting to listen to all these different possibilities in sound color on different organs. Greetings from South Africa.
Balint I hope this organ was as great to play as it looks and sounds. It looks like a really great restoration, and after checking your sources it seems the Schuke firm is back on track to do some great work. They've certainly had their ups and downs over the decades!
When demonstrating an organ, you are never in a hurry, giving us time to savour the sound of individual ranks and combinations that enhance them. The graphics showing the stops being played are very helpful. You have set the standard, Balint; one or two other organists have begun doing likewise, perhaps taking a hint from you!
Coming back to it, the 16’ Traversbass is incredible. The slow attack, the gentle purring, the beautiful harmonic retinue….

This video makes me curious. 1738 is the same year Christiaan Muller built his Magnum opus in Haarlem.

You almost pull the entire organ down when drawing a stop knob 😂
The glockenspiel played all of it's notes at once!
Never expected to see 12’ and 6’ stops. Very unique sound!
Lovely organ and video, thank you for your wonderful work.
Just a curiosity: at 01:00 was the cameran tired after climbling the stairs? 😂
Thanks BK. Fascinating organ & superb demonstration. You take us to places I would otherwise never know about - your channel is #1 for me 🙏🏻

Love the Glockenspiel!

What a nice sounding 2 manual would love to hear bwv 545 on this
One of my favorite Bach Preludes is BWV 545.

I thought the same thing!
What a wonderful tour! That is an amazingly large 2 manual organ. I hope you recorded a few pieces that we can hear later!

This has an extremely majestic sound, i think because of the thiccness of the basses

Such A great demo👍🙏Thank's again Balint👌
Great video. And what an impressive organ! So much colour and depth of sound... I suspect J. S. Bach would have enjoyed this instrument a lot.
Excellent demonstration. And also some rather remarkable sounds.
How lovely - the glockenspiel is wonderful!

Why do the draw knows drop down to lock in? Are they spring loaded? Are you working against air pressure?
They are spring loaded
Amazing organ, it seems sounded higher than 440, about one tone at least...
A=481Hz
Cameraman: *wheezes heavily after gazillion of stairs*
Where is the link
The Console looks so neat and clean that at first, I though it is Neo Baroque Organ😅😅
Is your movie editing a thing of the past? Because there are no mask.
