What amazing harmony between all three divisions! Only the old masters knew how to cut off everything unnecessary in order to achieve such harmony. Thank you very, very much, dear Balint!
The sound of every single line of pipes is a masterpiece. The entire church sounds like a harmonic case. You are in the organist's paradise. Thank you for sharing it.
@Tillsammmans: I agree with you. The Schnitger in Hamburg is one of the best organs he ever built. I’m sure there will be a demo in the foreseeable future.
The whole instrument is so magnificent! But that Vox Humana - it sounded like a modern digital chorus in the background! The stop mechanism is interesting about the spring back problem!
Biggsy gives this beautiful organ a good workout on his disc (obviously LP originally) from the 1970s. Check it out if you have an opportunity. Nice playing and thanks for sharing this incredible instrument with us.
What a great video. I love seeing all the detailed views. I've listened to countless recordings of this organ for nearly 40 years. It is a true masterpiece. Thank you for all your work on these videos!
I knew that this was an important organ, Meister Karosi, but because of its restrained appearance, does not command an immediate "presence" in the mind of the viewer. But your masterly demonstration - so very well recorded - dispelled any lingering reservations and showed why Bach himself longed for an organ by Silbermann.
This organ is what happens when everything seemly comes together perfectly in a builder's vision, you get an experience not just an audible performance and a brilliant visual in timeless fashion.
This was the first virtual organ I bought many decades ago, long before Hauptwerk. The clarity of this organ is astounding. No 250 rank monster can compare to the beauty of this instrument.
An amazing organ in an amazing acoustic! Everything is voiced perfectly for the room and the organ has such a rich sound. I especially love the French-style reeds! Thanks for this amazing demonstration!
I don't know why I didn't receive this notify otherwise I'm already subscibed. Bha YT f**k algorithm. Thank Balint of this demonstration and sharing. Retirn spring could be an invention to help the organist in the past but a risk for a life of instrument! Amazing the low frequency of open/close the tremulant. It was an emotion to play Bach on this masterpiece of story. Have you and all us organists an happy new year fill of music!
Brilliant organ in Freiburg Cathedral. I had the privilege of playing it in 1988, for about an hour or so. German organists are so generous in letting foreigners play their organs, providing one is a professional or at least competent. They are truly blest in having these organs still working and that they weren't bombed in WW2. Merrowyn Deacon 🎵
No, Bach never played this organ. Silbermann did not exactly correspond to the ideas of the great master J. S. Bach. They hardly knew each other and barely met each other. This organ is located in Freiberg Cathedral, Saxony, Germany. One of the most important baroque organs in the world and Silbermann's largest self-made work.
C'est extrêmement plaisant ! ruclips.net/video/K5mVP295K5Y/видео.html
Many years ago I had a "complete" Bach collection on lp. The accompanying literature mentioned one of Silbermann organ cases using up almost the entire organ budget. Would this be that instrument? I noticed the case is quite ornate.
What the pearls of organ world! Both Organist and the instrument !
There simply aren’t enough superlatives to describe this beautiful instrument.
Craftsmanship of the old world🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
One cannot beat the bright mixtures & tuning! 😊
An absolute fine organ by Silbermann! This is an early Christmas gift. Very glad Albrecht Koch showed you this in Freiberg.
YES
Oh boy. We in the major leagues now! Looking forward to this.
I sense such a beautiful presence of God when you play on this instrument. Heavenly.🙌🙌🙏🏻🙏🏻
I love the taste of the Musical Offering at the end.
Just wonderful. Would be a joy to play Baroque repertoire. Amazing it has remained intact.
The Vox Humana" (19'14), it's the most incredible sound i ever have heard on a pipe organ! Incredibly beautiful and realistic!
Absolutely marvellous instrument. I don't have words to describe the emotions this organ is able to create for me.
KÖSZÖNÖM SZÉPEN!
Three hundred years old, and sounds as good as, or better than, any Bach-style organ built since then.
How precious!
Thanks!
Such a privilege to play this wonderful Organ. Thank you for your demonstration.
And another wow: all the sounds are breathtaking- yet the Oberwerk Principal is to die for ❤
Fantastisch, ik kijk er naar uit.
Your videos amaze me! I learn something new every time. I don't understand how someone can keep a "sound memory" of all the combinations.
Woow, what a great surprise. My dream is still that you do a full demonstration of the Arp Schnitger organ in Hamburg St Jacobi
Thanks BK & have a great recital. No wonder that this organ is so famous - so much beautiful character & blend ☺️
Amazing organ, wonderful playing - keep it up!
Outstanding demonstration. Hopefully, your recital be recorded and made available. Thank you for sharing these magnificent instruments with us!

Thank you for a wonderful demonstration of this magnificent instrument. Especially appreciated as I have next to no chance of ever visiting Freiberg.
Thank you for this detailed tour of this wonderful organ !
Thank you so very much for demonstrating this incredible organ!! It’s got an extraordinary variety of tone. And what a vast and warm acoustic, too.
What a great video. I love seeing all the detailed views.

The most amazing sounds are when up to 1-2 (or 3) stops are active :)
Beautiful organ love the full sound I believe a digital organ builder should hear this organ may change their mind on reverb
Merci!
Thank you so much for a great demonstration of a lovely instrument
This organ is what happens when everything seemly comes together perfectly in a builder's vision, you get an experience not just an audible performance and a brilliant visual in timeless fashion.
Such vibrant, warm colors!
Thank you for sharing such inspirational playing!

Sono considerati universalmente i migliori organi!
So helpful as I knew nothing of how to manipulate the organ sounds until your videos, thank you forever!
добра...

An amazing organ in an amazing acoustic! Everything is voiced perfectly for the room and the organ has such a rich sound. I especially love the French-style reeds! Thanks for this amazing demonstration!
Great Program. Mixtures that blend and add harmonic richness; that do not intrude.
The action is superb. Thanks very much for your demonstration, Maestro. Merrowyn

Thank you very much for this video and for showing us that incredible instrument. Greetings from Spain.

First time for me to hear such quick Tremulant

Freiberg in Sachsen not Freiburg im Breisgau
Greetings from Tucson, Arizona USofA
This organ is glorious!
Beautiful
very good
wow , thanks for the demonstration !
It' s one great organ and the church have normal eco , good for to listen music of organ.
Amazing pedal solo, its very powerfuel when you add some big reeds and mixture, amazing!
What glorious tones! Oh for the opportunity to play this instrument... 🤩
What a great sounding organ! Over 300 years old. Wow!
the pedal notes does not expand by the upper and lower, so they are looking like to be so small)
Your demonstrations of the organ are the best ever
Thank you for sharing this!

Excellent demonstration thank you
What is the music? It is such a beautiful main theme melody. Thank you for this video
The opening is a sort of improvisation on the chorale “Lord, Thee I Love with All My Heart”
The reed are great. Next stop - Groningen
13:30
I like organ demos played by Balint Karosi😊
4:20 mi favourite and mixture
Did Bach play this Organ? What City of Germany is located this Organ?
No, Bach never played this organ. Silbermann did not exactly correspond to the ideas of the great master J. S. Bach. They hardly knew each other and barely met each other. This organ is located in Freiberg Cathedral, Saxony, Germany. One of the most important baroque organs in the world and Silbermann's largest self-made work.
19:13 wow, the Vox Humana sounds like a human choir singing in the background.
OMG! And this is only the sound from the loudspeakers of my computer. Next destination: Freiberg!
Wow! The musical timbre of this instrument blows away any modern machine.
This organ is in a class of its own. Many new Bach organs were molded on it.
Amazing! What is the chorale tune you feature throughout this demo? I think I've played it, but I can't recall what it is.
“Lord thee I love” or “Herzlich lieb”
How do I nor know about this spectacular instrument? I know; I'm not an organist.
What is the music?
The principal here is totally different from other organs.
was this organ played by Johann Sebastian Bach ? According to history, Bach inaugurated a Silbermann Organ.
Suono eccezionale
Did JSB play this organ
❤

That vox humana is unearthly
