Story is my favorite NF song and it gives me chills every time I hear it. the entire Clouds mixtape is great but that one just gets me right in the feels because it's so real. It makes you come to face mortality and put into perspective what life is worth and what death means. Do you act when you're presented with a tough situation or just sit back and let life happen to and around you? I could go on but I don't want to spoil anything before they get to it just in case they read this comment.

The 'MOSES' complex comes to mind when I hear NF complain in this track about his struggle with fortune and fame and how taxing it must seem holding the 'staff' up so his people(fans and paid staff) may cross through the 'RED SEA' as he even is tempted at times to 'strike the rocks' as his ego proclaims... ' “Hear now, you rebels: shall 'we' bring water for you out of this rock?”elevating himself as he struck twice with the staf bringing water from the rocks but dishonoring the ONE who chose him for this calling?... Pride does cometh before the fall... ;)

I know Nate knows this, and I'm sure he put it in to fit the song, but you actually don't have to receive a "sorry" to forgive someone.

Thats true but the maturity and humility needed are way higher, and thats ignoring that its a situational thing
Edit: oh and yeah, as the song is called prideful, that exactly what not apologising when you know you're wrong is, so its a perfect fit for the song
