Why does Keto work? 24:00 Because the glucose storage in the brain gets replaced by keytones, and keytones regulate the brain excitory neurons. In most cases seizures are caused from a surge of glucose in the brain and not enough GABA.
I also think it's odd that people don't connect the dots. If increasing fat and therefore ketone mmols in the blood reduces seizures, isn't it obvious that ketones are the ones making the difference?
I have had three nuros and none have wanted to place me on the keto diet... I had to go to a nutritionist who is also a doctor to give me a right dosage... My nurologist only give me higher and higher meds levels

The keto diet doesn't have to be that strict, by intermittent fasting you put your body into ketocuis . There are good fats nuts, olive oils, milks, youguts.
You are dealing with children, and it is a terrible idea to do IF with children. This is not internet keto, this is specific for that child and yes, it needs to be that strict.
