sE7 Small Diaphragm Condenser vs LR100 Ribbon mics!!

- A while ago a friend told me about these ribbon mics that were on sale from Ebay. Even though I had small diaphragm condenser mics (sE7's), I thought I would try the ribbons out to see if they were a little less 'active'. I'm hoping to record my cymbals but not have my voice coming through at the same volume.
Well, this is not a vocal test, but I thought I would do a side by side comparison between the sE7 condenser mics and the LR100 ribbon mics that I bought from.... wait for it... Monoprice.
When they say you get what you pay for... Many times it is true.
But the Monoprice ribbons really are not that bad... But I think I do like the sE7's. Let me know what you think??

First- you did a good job with the lighting especially with the symbols being brass and reflective. Second - the ribbon mics sounded a bit hollow. But to make a true comparison I would want to hear the video with my good headphones instead on my iPhone. It does show how important having a good mic is for the right sound quality.
Thanks. Yeah, they definitely don't have what the sE7's have... I'll have to try some vocal trials and see how things come out. The only other song I've done in the basement sounded ok, but I had to play pretty light.
