Dear sweet baby Jesus.. THANK YOU! For multiple reasons. 1.) Demo'ing these mics2.) Using the Glyn Johns technique 3.) No rambling on forever before actually demonstrating the mics. Your kit sounds great by the way! Cheers
HA! I figured I'd let the mics do the talking.
Great demo, thanks.
Thank you!
Thanks for the video! I bought two of these and I feel a lot more confident about the purchase now. Will be using this technique to record some songs.
Glad it was helpful!
Listen to this through my headphones. It sounds so good - both the mics but also your playing. Great job!
Thank you! Much appreciated

Thanks man! It's a 14x6.5 Mapex Black Panther Retrosonic. Which I'm certain Mapex discontinued, so I'll definitely be hanging onto it.

Thanks Drake! The one on my right is a 22" Kerope and the one of my left is a 20" Bosphorus Master Vintage.
These sounds awesome - great video man. Are these the raw recording? did you add any panning or effects etc... cheers!
No panning just did a little EQ'ing.
Hey Matt. What pres / interface are these running into?
I’m running it through a Focusrite Saffire Pro 40.
@@mrrdrums89 Thank you man. Mics sound great but that's because the kit sounds great.
Thanks man! I’m very happy with these mics. Especially for the price.
Those are the only two mics on the kit?!?
Yep! Equal distance from the center of the snare.
