I needed this video on frozen shoulder. However, my patient can't reach 90° of flexion ( only about 45°) or swing his arm like that he will be screaming his head off. But I like the concept of the stick and the unaffected arm controlling the mov't. Thanks.
Thanks for the message and pleased you like the video. Regards JG
Pleased you like the video, regards JG
pendular swings mate.
pendulum swings is a great idea but my patient sounds exactly like yours in that we have very minimal abduction and flexion while the level of pain is unbearable. She has already had manipulation under anesthetia a year ago yet still cannot recruit the muscles to raise the arm. This is the toughest case I have had in a long time . Any suggestions from Dr Gibbons or anyone else is much appreciated. Frozen shoulder is a real tough one that is for sure and I want to get my patient back to her life.
Dr Gibbons material is some of the best available . My favorites menu is littered with Gibbons videos. Thank you Doc. You are very much appreciated and an obvious expert at what you do for people. Mahalo - Dr Hanna

Very informative sir
Thanks and welcome
Thanks for the information, I thought I had a rotator cuff issues but I just heard of a frozen shoulder today and I'm trying to get a idea of which condition I may have.
If you have a frozen shoulder then external rotation of the shoulder will be limited - if that motion is fine it is not a frozen shoulder, regards JG
@@JohnGibbons thank you I was looking into it and realized that was the case.
I have the same thing. No external rotation or rear reach. No idea why I have it.
@gambotage so it's been over a year since my injury and I had surgery back in May and it's cool to say I went to the gym yesterday and had a great workout!
Should she hold the stick palms facing in/neutral? I think so.
Yes, it would be better for the position of shoulder as external rotation will be more natural for the shoulder mechanics. Regards JG
Good call
