What an incredible vehicle!
When you consider you've built your home, your office and your business into it, the length and cost to which you've gone is understandable for comfort and efficiency. Seems like a lot of content creators inevitably head down this path which makes my comparatively basic set up sit at the opposite end of the touring vehicle spectrum.
RUclips is full of exotic and for me, expensive build projects I'll never be able to afford so I follow you for the places you go and the trips you take.
What a setup! Quite literally the best set up I've seen in our country. What dreams are made of.
The ultimate setup very cool and well thought out great job guys.
Amazing from when you first started out overlanding i bet you'd never thought you would end up with a vehicle like this one day , dreams can come true well done guys 👍
Beautiful build
As a fellow troopy owner that vid was 10/10 👌🏻
Great set up, very professional presentation. Thanks Bill Mc
We have a Tommy Camper on a Ford Ranger, which is awesome! However, your Troopy looks unreal! Great job on this build and walkthrough guys, inspirational!
Awesome run down video! I really do dig the front and rear bumper. Those rear lights looks very useful for the bush.
Holly & Matt thanks for the video 👍👍
Thank you so much for all those information. I love your setup especially heat the water while driving 🚗. I love a warm shower 😊. We keep looking at all the troops we drove past and always mentioned you guys. We're going to save up and get a new patrol and will try to build something similar to yours. We want to be as comfortable as we can because we have kids. It's our goal at the moment 😊.
Awesome rig 💯🇦🇺
The Troopy is a beast nice overland vehicle.
Awesome set up you guys have. Very well thought out. I’m sure there’s things you’d still like to tweak after living and traveling in it. Any chance of seeing a video showing some of those things?
What’s a ball park figure for the acquisition and all mods?
And you planning on making a “full spec sheet”? With suppliers details. I’m happy to have the suppliers add etc. you’ve put a huge effort into research and now testing. Let’s not reinvent the wheel!!
Thank you for the vid
Awesome effort.
Now we all need to get out travelling
BTW doing the full Binns track ex Melbourne this August September 😊👍
Fab troopy envy
Hey guys. Loving your setup - can see a lot of thought has gone it to every aspect. Really enjoying watching your adventures. It is really hard finding a decent camping shower head - can I ask what brand/type you have? Thank you!
It's a very impressive build.
Are you sitting at GVM with the current setup when starting a big trip?
Have you ever used both spares on a trip?
Loved the walk around & the demonstrations , it’s great to see good quality & Aussie gear being installed & used. The entire unit looks very comfortable & serviceable. May I ask the total weight when you’re fully juiced up & loaded?
The gap on the awning rear where rain gets through, have u guys found a slution?
We have been thinking about it, but haven’t done anything yet. But at this stage it’s close the doors and open when we need to,
A very well integrated set up. How does roof conversion handle high winds? Outside of Qld do you know who does fully engineered gvm upgrades?
Hey Guys, was wondering if you have weighed your rig fully loaded before heading out on a trip?
Great Setup! With the tent-top, I always see the canvas sections on the inside and mesh on the outside, does water ever pool up in the bottom fold of the canvas?
I’ve sometimes wondered what you do with the original gear that is taken off the car. I guess you try and sell it on?
Who makes the little water qd hatch you had on the outside near the maxtrax table?
@@ScoutTactical hey mate project overlander in Sydney does those ones
🤠 Thank you for the summary.
If I may ask where did you put the 6 liter air compressed tank and which brand?
@@snakeB8 just in the side of the build out inside the troopy and it’s from TJM :)
Hey Matt, have you found that the 6lt water heater big enough. Do you think the 10lt would have been better?
Do you get any creaking sounds coming from the roof conversion? I know some other conversions have that issue when flexing.
No we don’t get any creaking with this one
Matt, any reason why you didnt go with a second cranking 12V battery under the hood? Do you also have an isolater for the winch?
Hey mate, yes the winch has an isolator. Never really thought about a second cranking battery to be honest. Could be a good idea though!
Does that Maxtrax Side Table make any wind noise when driving (either empty or when storing the maxtrax)?
No mate I couldn't hear a difference.
I want to fit the same roof and ship the troppy so can it fit in 😂 20ft container of height 2.3M?
Hey guys. Love this build. We’re about to start our own 2018 Troopy build with a roof conversion and more. I have a question though. I know you fitted the Bushman console fridge. Do you have an aftermarket centre console in front of it?
The Troopy we’re buying has a Dept of the Interior one and we’d like to remove the storage arm rest at the back and install a fridge.
Hello. No we just have the stock centre console.
@@OverlandTravellers thanks heaps for the reply guys. I've been watching your build over and over for ideas. (rear axle correction for one)
Great video. Who makes/supplies the side utility panel please?
As in the maxtrax table and holder? It’s from project overlander in Sydney :)
@@OverlandTravellers where you plug your water and power into
@@davidbarker5729 oh sorry, that’s also done by project overlander
Cheers
@@davidbarker5729 water is filled through the utility panel and power is either from car, solar or 240 which is just plugged in through the front door but the door can still be closed.
You left out the most important information, the total price. I know most of the gear you have are either supplied 100% free, or with a heavy discount. But if you had to add it all up with RRPs, how much do you think your current Troopy built costs?
All up it would be about $225 000
That was the first thing I thought the cost
@@OverlandTravellers is that including the cost of troopy?
@@danielmichael3723 yes including cost of the troopy
Could you tell me a little more the head unit / display screen? What brand and model is it?
Love what you have done with your vehicle. Quite inspiring
Mate it’s from xplore aus
then the LC GD engine happened.
