- Finally, it's my review of the stainless steel Parker Jotter ( amzn.to/2E5n7q4 ) pen. This is sometimes known as the "Jotter Core."
If you are considering buying, you might want to check out the metal set ( amzn.to/2pIjlJj ). There are fancier Jotters too, like the Bond Street ( amzn.to/2OKthAd ) and gold trim ( amzn.to/2OKG2uA ).
Keep in mind that anything Anniversary or Special Edition ( amzn.to/2OKtnb3 ) will likely have a plastic lower!

Allot of people, don't realize that this pen is a James Bond pen. In the movie GoldenEye Q-Branch supplies Bond with a Parker Jotter pen that is a C4 grenade: three clicks arms the four-second fuse, another three disarms it. A classic pen, still widely available.
Daniel V I am invincible! Hahaha
Daniel V i clicked it three times now my cat is dead
Give me the codes Natalya!!!
Wul Vershon 😂😂😂🙈
My grandfather always used a Jotter. He had a collection dating back to the very first ones with the ribbed, nylon barrel and the inverted, non arrow clip.
Picked one of these up quite some time ago. Didn't like it at first but found myself using it more and more. As you point out in the title of your video, it's a solid EDC. Thanks for the video.
It has such an awesome click action. Definitely one of my favorite pens I own
best pen for me
I have 2 stainless steel parker jotter pens .I bought them way back in 1988.They are made in usa .They feel heavier than the today stainless jotters.I am 45 years old now I was 14 back then.Time is a bitch, sorry for my language
Parker recently released a Jotter XL version. It's supposed to be 7% larger than the standard jotter. This might be better
for those who find the standard jotter a bit too thin to write with comfortably. Hoping to try one soon.
Joseph James where did u see it???
several online pen shops have them. i just did a quick search and see Goldspot has them. Ipenstore claims they will be in stock in November
ok. that is weird because on parker site there is not such a thing :)) probably they are made without parker s permission. who knows. if u buy one just look on the cap where does it say is made ? if is not France than probably they are some Chinese or indian replica which are not quality and will never buy that. ty anyway . i will email Parker to see if they are really going to produce those.
i measure the size of a normal jotter and is 12.8cm and 0.9cm compared to 13cm and 1cm. so i think those are not XL size lol. probably fake indian made lol
never thought people reviewed pens and ive never heard of the term "pen enthusiast" very cool to see :) i bought a lux pen for lots of money
Hope you enjoy it!
It's the best pen Parker makes. I have one in my pocket as I type this comment. The problem with Parker is they don't keep replacement parts for any length of time for their pens, especially their higher end ones. That is why I own and use Montblanc, Waterman, and Pelikan whenever I have something to say at a more personal level.
It is what it is. I use my Matted Metal Jotter as an EDC everyday clipped into my Staples 3x5 sidebound notebook (clip is great) and it's perfect for jotting or quick writing. It fits into the notebook perfectly. I see BBC reporters with a Parker Jotter in their hand on field reporting on TV.
Longer writing is where its lacking, but it's a jotter and not trying to fool anyone lol. It tapers too much for me for sit down longer writing sessions.
They do have ones with stripes parallel to the body, but those are very slick and so much so that it feels like a different pen to me. I haven't tried your all metal Jotter because I'm afraid it'd be too slick for me.
try the all metal jotter in other coulours (6 colours available!!!) and they aren t slippery
I really like fountain version of Jotter, I own red version of it. Ballpoint Jotter is a bit small for me, I like Cross Bailey Light ballpoint more. Or Waterman's copy, Graduate ballpoint.
Is this pen nib heavy or cap heavy?
Hey so I have this pen but it doesn’t work when I click it I can write with it then when I click it again it doesn’t go back . Can you help me ?
Nice video Sal ... Thanks
have u tried the Pierre Cardin parker refills? they are on ebay 6 with $8.49.
they are only on ebay i think
@@acmramon i use Pierre Cardin refills for my Jotter. this refills write very smooth
Александр Шестаков yes they are smooth but don t last so long. Ty
you know that I have one like yours, who is also Hindu; mine has a very nice grid on the cover, at the time there were two types: with the grid like mine and with filled squares, which is like the negative version. I like this pen because it is very representative, it doesn't leave you in a bad way with anyone, besides it is made of stainless steel; I like this material because of the way I carry the pens: I wear a T-shirt a lot, I hang the pen around my neck... and of course the body of the pen comes into contact with my skin. Well, chrome-coated pens based on brass, like the cross century classic, the chrome coating comes off and the brass irritates my skin, which has even caused me problems with my girlfriend. That's why I prefer stainless steel pens like parker and lamy (the lamy logo, which is my favourite)
In india it costs around 5dollars
Great video!
I keep reading reviews about people getting counterfeit parker pens. What's your opinion about where to get the authentic thing?
made in France . the factory moved in France
Your best bet, if you want to make sure the pen you get is authentic, is to go to your local pen or utensil store.
They buy pens directly from the factory, and thus the chances of counterfit are really low.
Another option, especially when you buy online, is the second-hand market. Fakes and counterfits are almost always sold as brand new, so if you buy a good condition second hand one, you have a high chance of it being the real deal.
The jotter is great but it's too slim for me. I like the vector more
Can you replace the Spring .
nice review on a great pen(for me is the best). the silver stainless steel is a little slippery, but its ok. Can u review in the future a black or blue coating steel barrel? they have amazing grip. and i have never tried the schmidt P900, is it way better than the Parker quinkflow? ty
ok ty lol. i know u don t like them but it s nice to review them. and the all gold colour is made by Luxor for indian market so don t buy it. the made in France ones are the ones that Parker makes for Europe and other market
is the schmidt p900 better than parker quinkflow? never tried it so want your opinion. ty
Scmidt p 900 is a lot better than parker refill.... And 10.000 m ink capacity...
@@user-cx1qo1xs8z recently bought one P900, but is the same, not a lot better lol. i ll stick to quinkflow anyway
One of my favorite pen designs... another great video. By the way, is there any way to get in touch with you outside of RUclips? Kik, telegram, discord, etc?
how can you tell its genuine? how many grams does it weight (with the refill) ? lately i am looking for this model and a lot of people say that those on amazon are fake . also if you look closely, the pen in the first link you put in the video description ( stainless steel with chrome trim clip) is different from what you are showing in the video (look at the shape of the arrow tail drawn engraved at the clip)
@@unsharpen thanks for replying. i don't have a problem paying extra as long as i am sure i am getting the genuine one and not a counter fit. the problem is that in my country there are no authorised dealers selling this model of the jotter series. thanks anyway. if you have the chance to weight it, i will be very thankful, if not, not big deal. its only a pen :)
mosh mohem the clip design of almost all the Parker pens including the Jotter, changed in 2016. There was a redesign in order to 'refresh' the timeless value of the most iconic writing instruments such as the Parker. Now if you'll notice in terms of durability it is more functional and from what I've heard from friends who owns the post 2016 variations, it appears that there is no longer the danger of breaking it as it was with the old style...
Classic dad pen
lol yes, never thought of it like that, but quite true
Pens are good, but handwriting is not decent!
Thanks for the feedback
I'm pretty late but I totally agree. The jotter nowadays isn't expensive, it feels and looks fine but the writing experience is awful , it writes like a 1 dollar indian pen
So No one's going to call him out on that terrible hand writing for someone reviewing pens then?
Fylosofy smart people write ugly
You need to walk like a model to review shoes?
@@giacomo8875 i guess so
