Whats the preferred method of joining wires when you're lengthening or shortening a circuit, either for sensitive sensor circuits or for higher amperage stuff such as lighting? Looking for something less messy and time consuming than solder/shrink, and can still be tucked into loom without much fuss.

When we talk about adding timing on a boosted application do you start adding at 100kpa and do you choose a certain rpm range based on the combo?

So when tuning, do you guys prefer to tune reading the boost via KPA, or do you watch the absolute psi. I understand you guys probably don't have a big variance between the two where you are. But if you were to go, say 6000ft would you prefer one over the other? Thanks in advance

Is there anything wrong with hooking the disconnect on the negative side at the battery for a kill switch that way you don’t have to worry about your alternator keeping your engine running

Would love to hear discussion on how to create custom tables in Holley. Like how to make the PWM fans work in a streetcar.

Question: 8.8 Explorer rear end has a speed sensor on the ring gear. Can this be used for driveshaft speed in holley software. ?

Let’s talk about the only qualification to have a Facebook or RUclips account is an email address. And how everyone wants to give their 2¢ because they saw a RUclips video.

I know you guys talk about the right convertor can keep sbe alive with rpm drop after a shift staying above 6100 but what could I do to keep my sbe alive with a t56? Already have pretty soft timing before and around peak torque (10-12 degreees) Goals is to run 8-9 second quarter mile times

    • @SloppyMechanics

yeah you have to make the spark table soft in the dangerous areas, depends on power and combo etc @@918sonicsupra

@@SloppyMechanics my combo is a gen 4 5.3, btr cam, Jose’s 88/100 turbo, btr equalizer intake, dual 450s, 2200cc deatchwerks injectors in a full weight 4th gen f body.

I was thinking about running out the gears higher to maybe 8k rpm’s so after a shift maybe the rpm drop won’t end up in the danger zone? I remember hunter tuned and blaser builds doing something similar in their old mustang builds
