8 Hardest Difficulty Modes You Will Never Finish
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 10 июл 2024
- Some games take the 'overcoming adversity' thing and crank it so hard the dial falls off, creating brutally difficult game modes for only the seriously skilful or wilfully masochistic. Here are eight of the hardest modes that we will never, ever attempt, let alone finish. Subscribe for a list every Thursday on Outside Xbox: www.tinyurl.com/SubToOxbox
These merciless modes include The Evil Within's top difficulty setting, Akumu.
We thought The Evil Within was pretty difficult, which is why we were somewhat taken aback to discover that there are two whole levels above the game's regular Survival difficulty: namely Nightmare and Akumu.
As you may have guessed from the name, Nightmare is no walk in the barbed-wire covered park. Akumu, on the other hand, is Japanese for Nightmare and is even harder than that, in that if you take so much as a single hit from anything, you die instantly.
Even less forgiving is Doom's Ultra Nightmare mode, which is so difficult that no one who actually worked on the game could complete it.
The premise of Ultra Nightmare is simple: you take regular Nightmare mode which is, as the name implies, an absolute nightmare, then apply permadeath to it - so the second you die, you're booted back to the start of the game and your save is erased.
Inspect those extreme difficulty levels in the video above, along with Civilisation's Deity setting, Dead Space's Hardcore mode, and the ominously titled Ethan Must Die mode in Resident Evil 7.

Im actually doing a perma-death run of my life right now, things are going well so far
Judge Dredd i am on the holiday Phase at the moment, things are going well
Have you tried the Syria level I mean there are terrorists everywhere it must be hard
guardian of the dank memes I personally have tried to avoid that myself... high chance of dying, made it so far, don't want to lose it all
Judge Dredd talking about achieving what achievements have you finished
That's why I never drink any potio- I mean drinks that boost my energy now then drain it later.
I'm not gonna lie, DOOM 2016's Ultra Nightmare wasn't any harder for me than regular Nightmare
Not because I'm good, I just never managed to survive even the first fight so permadeath was kinda irrelevant
how do you unlock ultra nightmare anyway
@@thewilltosurvive9512 you don't need to unlock it, the red modes just mean you can't change it mid game, but you can start a new run with ultra nightmare any time
Actually, you have to make it to the first stage that takes place in hell to unlock it.
@@danoobtvhd6101 my mistake, I just don't recall being prompted that I'd unlocked it and saw someone online say the above so I figured that was the explanation
I've actually accomplished this achievement on ps4, after the first major fight and last of the first mission the game actually lightens up a bit
That last word you were looking for to describe The Evil Within is “trippy.” That game was VERY trippy at times.
one of my favorite games ever. got so much hate because people don't wanna play on easy, they wanna play the harder difficulties and have an easy time so they can feel like they're better than they are.
Agreed
YES VERY TRIPPY
At times? The whole 2 games were trippy 🤣
Buddy, both games in that series are total mindscrews from start to finish.
Castellanos on Akumu: I was born with glass bones and paper skin
Not paper it and not glass i would say I was born with stand bones and super thin paper skin
But you did an spongebob reference so it’s Cool

AKUMU mode on The Evil Within was one of the most frustrating and infuriating experiences of my entire lifetime. That burning building section was soul destroying. But the feeling once you completed it? Fuck, I can’t even tell you. I cried.
Congratulations
You’re not wrong I managed to pass it after about 2 hours but I wanted to break the whole Xbox
That part in chapter 6 is very infuriating indeed. But once you figure out the right way of doing it, it won't take more than 10 tries.
It was ez pz lmao
I KNOW YOUR FEELING CUZ I PASSED IT ALSO, THE LAST LEVEL HOWEVER WAS EASIER
Suddenly everyone in the comment section beat the evil within on akumu difficulty.
I play it for the first time now on survival difficulty. I died So many Times in this game but its Very cool. Unfortunately not so Spooky as i thought. Is it with Part 2 different?
@@DerPS3ZockerTV I have no clue. I've never played it before.
@@shrooman768 Ahh Okay no Problem 😉
@@DerPS3ZockerTV Evil Within 2 is an improvement in every way possible. Akumu's replacement for that is Classic mode, the difference is you get 7 saves and no one hit kill, requires much more patience than Evil Within 1.
@@BluesFanUK_ what you have only seven save slots. Thats not so much in my opinion. I can imagine that makes the game much harder. As an example in Part one i hated the Mission where four elevators came from the wall and they all shot me with bow machine guns. The dumb think in my opinion Was also that the Mission could failed when your Partner died.
"Cheats are only fair when I'm using them".

Hey that makes four of us, sweet!

I enjoyed it on normal but i didn’t wanna attempt it. I’ve heard it’s life changing
On my first dead space zealot attempt I made it 8 chapters without saving only to die by accidentally meleeing a window, queue massive ragequit.
Save at the start of chapter 6, chapter 11 before the truck part and at the end of chapter 14

What about when i was at chapter 16 in DS3 and died by a random explosion? Iiterally cried the rest of the night
Smashed a window in real life then
Man dead space hardcore mode. I remember doing that, I kept telling myself naw I should save later and later. I ended up saving on chapters 7 then realizing I had 2 more saves just before the end I saved at 12 and 14. Definitely don’t regret it for the platinum and it was a thrilling experience. Also for dead space 1 did the trophies “one gun” and “epic teir 3 engineer” at the same play through because I ended up finding the plasma cutter being the best fully upgraded on the higher difficulties. I miss dead space RIP Visceral Entertainment :(
Hey, we've got the remasters now though.
Watching that hexagon game footage made me feel legitimately nauseous
Yeah, I think I'll stay away from it altogether, let alone on that difficulty.
Emily Down.....With.......the commintern?
You get used to it. I guess...
You get used to it. I guess...
The orange mode is what you start out on. Eventually it kind of smooths out. Beating Hyper Hexagonest myself, there's definitely two parts to the difficulty- learning the patterns and becoming accustomed to the speed at which the game throws objects at you.
Deity mode is harder early on, but in pretty much every Civ game, you take out an early neighbor, exploit a city state, and snowball your way to a science victory.
Every time.
...City-states didn't exist before Civ V.
I mostly just exploited wonders of the world and stealth bombers
Or, in the recent games, you can just cheese it by setting a time limit of one turn and selecting a civilization whose bonuses give it a higher-than-normal score on turn one. Now, that arguably doesn't really count as playing it on Deity, but it does give you the achievement, meaning the achievement statistics aren't really a measure of how hard Deity is (if you play it as intended) so much as how many people know the cheese and care to use it.
Playing fair (without cheats or jinks), have only been able to beat Deity on Civ V with Venice, but can do it pretty handily. Don't have to fight other Civs for territory and can concentrate entirely on income and allying city states, getting the Diplomatic Victory in the end.
Sure, try getting a complete elimination victory
There’s is also the LASO playlist in Halo. I won’t say of it is or isn’t deserving a position but it’s still VERY difficult.
LASO means Legendary All Skulls On
Halo 2 SLASO is definitely deserving
“Lunatic mode”
Touhou fans: aw shit, here we go again
@Random Someone the only stage 2 lunatic i can complete is from touhou pcb
@Random Someone oh nvm 😂😂
Only one I've done on Lunatic is Double Dealing Character, aka the best Touhou. I think it cost a bit of my soul.
I'm surprised I managed to beat "Ethan Must Die" mode back then because now I can't even remember how I got passed the first section of the level. Thanks, past me.
To win, all you have to do is die.

Ride to hell retribution in any difficulty... You can barely play the first 10 minutes without having the urge to jump from your window.
Leinad link Jump out of a window? This game made me want to burn myself while stabbing the disc
Ride to hell?! That game is a ride to hell alright.
Leinad link projared made it
Just like Rage 1...so boring that it actually causes depression. But at least Ride to Hell is hilariously bad.
The retribution of my fist into the developers' faces
Adding to the shittiness of the game, Dead Rising 4's Blackest Friday difficulty is an absolute hell and it took me about 4 hours to complete the tutorial because they don't give you enough fucking healing items and the only weapon you get given breaks after LITERALLY 7 hits
_"4 hours to complete the tutorial"_ I don't know why I find that so funny.
That sounds boring. not even hard, just mind numbingly boring.
SDR2 Fan111 do you at least get an achievement for doing it? 😂
The G.O.A.T yes
Finishing Death Stranding with your personality intact.
Akumu mode losing grip of ourselves literally made me put an ashtray in my wall
Doom 1993: Nightmare is considered the hardest mode in the game
Doom 2016: ... Hold my beer
Man, Nightmare on Original Doom is still a really REALLY hard game. I manage to beat some levels separately, but the entire game on one sit I can't
Hold my BFG.
Hold my bucket of gore.
Hold my chainsaw
If you're British you say "hold my tea" unless you're an alcoholic.
Andy didn't finish Skyrim because it got hard? Is he sure he was playing Skyrim?
Patrick Griffiths well that depends on the difficulty you set it to... it does get very hard at max difficulty
I disagree, I feel like at highest difficulty it simply stops being an action rpg and becomes a battle prep simulator. Spend the right amount of time smithing, enchanting, and most importantly brewing potions, and the fights are just about as easy as they ever were. Just with lots more unlikely eating habits mid battle.
Giant Dad what rings you got bitch !
I wonder how tough Ebony Warrior is on the hardest difficulty. yikes.
Big smoke: windshear.
I'll never forget Dead Space 2 Hardcore. After beating it on my PS3, I started playing it on my friend's system to give him his first save so he could have a starting point. I literally died right before I was going to save and it wasn't even an enemy. Such a heartbreaker...I never could play it again.
Super hexagon looks insane! I can't even keep track just watching it 😂😂
1 life difficulty in Ori and the blind forest is also pretty tough. Youll get booted back to the start if you die, and there's so many 1 hit k.o traps along the way
Tootptoeiepupeuteite
Yes, thats hard, but there is a "easy" way to get this. I think not even a little part of the player who unlocked this, would get this without this trick.
The game itself, regardless of difficilty, is pretty damn hard. It took me a while to pass the area where the inside of the tree gets flooded with water.
Oh god even watching those short clips of super hexagon gave me a small migraine and made me dizzy.
Akumu in The Evil Within is, compared to others on this list, much more doable due to the frequent checkpoints.
Yea but it can get really really frustrating
SlyBeast i agree. Collecting the keys and gel with sensible upgrades theres only 2-3 levels that are genuinely a hassle.
Oh I don't dare say that it's easy! And yes, that part is a real sticking point for the Akumu run. I failed many, many times there.
I finished akumu mode a few weeks ago on the ps4, I actually didn't find it that hard other than the spots where you have to deal with waves of enemies. There were a few parts that took me ages to get past because of how far apart the checkpoints are but it was super satisfying when I finished and could replay the game with the brass knuckles.
The Saturnian they dont give you nearly enough ammo to fight mia. I ended up having to kill her with the axe. Took me like 20 tries to kill her. Madhouse took me 15 hrs and i died 79 times lol
I was surprised to see Super Hexagon here! That is definitely a worthy addition!
Trying to keep everyone alive in Fire Emblem Awakening on Classic Mode with Lunatic+ difficulty. By the way, in order to unlock Lunatic+ with Classic Mode, you must first beat the game on Lunatic with Classic (if you beat the game on Lunatic with Casual, it only unlocks Lunatic+ Casual, not Lunatic+ Classic).
Lemme tell you, I legit couldn’t get past the first three turns of the first chapter in Lunatic Classic without someone dying.
Oh, and DLC help? Even if you DO have it, you literally can’t access it until you’ve beaten the 4th chapter.
Andy Tip No. 2
Dieing in a hard game is impossible if you quit at the title screen
Longshots couldn't help but correct it *dying.
Achirag Chirag Still it was a clever joke
Prepare for a comment section filled with people who finished all of these games on the hardest difficulty.
Yep, same with street fight videos. Everyone in the comments section saying how the people in the clips can't fight and I would of done this and that blah.. lol sad
@@arsenomarow1083 Whoa! That's where I quit TEW on Akumu too! I also think Ethan must die isn't that had when you get the hang of it, but I just got kinda bored of it.
i finished 1st Evil Within on AKUMU mode since 1 year ( im a platinum trophy hunter ) i died 267 times :D i was 1 trophy away from the platinum so i left it coz that one was extremely hard to get and i didnt had time for it ( beat the whole game in less than 5 hours), also im one trophy away for the platinum one in Evil within 2 ( complete the game in CLASSIC same meaning of AKUMU ) but in 7 saves only!!
@@samhas9185 Yeah, I would've beaten the second game on Classic if it didn't CRASH every damn time I went over to Stefano.

Almost four years later and Ellen's "Total Eclipse" reference makes me chuckle
I can proudly say I beat Akumu mode on Evil with like 300 something deaths. It's the achievement I showcase on my Xbox profile. I actually have every achievement in that game, easily my favorite. I wish Evil Within 2 wasn't open world :(

I'm just about to head to that area for the first time. ;-;
Nier Automata One Hit Death mode. Turns a hack n slash/side scrolling/bullet hell shooter into the most stressful ordeal where one hit from the thousands of things that can hit you will send you back to your last save, which by the way is NOT an auto save. You actually have to go to the save point and save your progress, so if enemy #20045 hits you while you are trying to dodge 5 other enemies and 20 bullets, you go back to that last save where you WERENT progressed at all.
Just beating the tutorial is bad enough
dogsrulenw08 that just sounds like straight up bullshit man
theeOnslaught Niers hard and harder difficulty are so stressful
The damn first boss in the tutorial will 1 shot regardless of hard or harder lol its so annoying to go through the cutscene again and again.
I did the tutorial on easy and then did the rest of the game on hard. I read that you have to do the starting cutscenes again if you die and I was like "nope, just skipping this part of the game"

I'm a big Metallica fan, and Dyers Eve excluded, your statement is pretty much true. lmao
Actually just made me laugh, thank you
Everytime I almost finish Skyrim it either breaks or I think up a better character, it's rough :(
Can confirm.
Nate Russell I've got 1000+ hours and finished every quest, gotten every perk and every weapon. Also every house, became thane everywhere, finished every questline and killed all secret bosses. and still only finished the main game once.
I started that game and beat it in like 10 hours. Then I went to explore and realized that almost every dungeon in the entire game is the same and so I quit because it got boring.
Comingforthattoothbrush boi you do know that finishing Skyrim also means that you have to clear every dungeon and that it has to be marked as cleared, right?
Wolfskull Cave for example can only be cleared BEFORE you do the quest related to that cave (since the original boss will be disabled during The Man Who Cried Wolf and The Wolfqueen Awakened), so be warned. And that's just one example though. So, since truly completing Skyrim means you have to do the quests in a certain order you better plan ahead. Far ahead.
Leto85 oh aye I know it's a deep game but I was referring to the main quest
Great video!
All worthy mentions i just feel like devil may cry needs to be on here
My mind literally exploded when I saw the super hexagon level
Nadav Wolf my mind can’t comprehend fast enough🤯
At least the music was good and I could listen to it 3 seconds at a time.

Can't even stomach that game, literally makes me wanna vomit just looking at it.
"For weird people." If a Japanese man calls you weird you know you got serious issues.
not weird enough for the fans though... they hacked the games to make them harder by doubling bullet count and speeding it up further...
they call them the ultra mode patches...

I actually completed bullethell on the hardest mode, I'm not proud of it honestly, especially when I after I stopped playing, I had literally spent about 11207 hours trying to conplete it...

Cian Bottomley-Mason all I now see is bullets, bullets everywhere, but it was worth it
Because when I tell people I completed bullet hell they all say "what's bullet hell" Wasting the year i put into the game

@0:53 home improvement. I remember my dad watching it so much when i was a kid and hearing that sound so much.
Aliens Vs Predator. 2010. Nightmare mode. Marine campaign especially.
Nightmare mode makes the enemies super strong and more resistant to bullets. Meaning that you will use more ammo on each enemy and if you take damage, force you to use a very limited amount of health stims in order to not die to the next enemy.
The headcrab things the aliens use instantly kill you if you are even slightly damaged, meaning that you need to you need to stay at 100% health to not die to them.
Predators just kill you. Instantly. The claws do half your health, per slice. The ion cannon just one hits you for lolz.
Bosses are massive assholes as well, and WILL kill you as we as having a whole group of friends who all want to rip you apart.
Oh and did I mention the combat androids? The ones that don’t die even after you take their head off, so you waste bullets taking off each individual limb? The ones who can one hit you with shotguns and take off half your health with snipers who have amazing accuracy?
There’s also the alien’s acid, which will one hit kill you if you are too close to them when you kill them due to that acid blood. And guess what is the most common type of enemy in the game. Ding ding! It’s aliens!
Funny enough, when you have AI teammates, they always seem to miss until an alien is attacking you, at which you they’ll shoot the alien, killing it, and subsequently killing you with acid.
And if all this wasn’t enough... Nightmare Mode... DISABLES. CHECKPOINTS. ON ALL MISSIONS. So all this one hit kill bullshit is coupled with very long mission times and adds in a lovely perma-death aspect, creating the ultimate rage game.
Fuck this game. And everything Nightmare Mode is.
Signed: A dumbass who got the achievements for beating each campaign on Nightmare.
clap clap clap
Um, that SOUNDS like big pain. Are you okay?
I remember the marine campaign was the worst it made you feel defenseless. Shitty difficulty was way too hard. Managed to beat them all just like you
Wow. Touhou series made me so nervous. That looks like torture.
edit: Super Hexagon comes up
Ok now THAT looks like torture.
it's not really that hard if you practice.
You want torture with Touhou? Try the Ultra Lunatic patch mode difficulty.
As a fan of super hexagon tohou is harder
i haven't played a touhou game but i played something that can ve seen as similar to it (bullet heaven 2) and i can barely beat the boss on normal mode (there's no easy) if someone were to offer to pay me to try it on heavenly with all the handicaps (except pacifist mode) then I'd just flat out refuse cause that shit would just make it a lunatic touhou level ;-;
Earning Big Boss rank on MGS4 was one of the hardest I've done. To get it you needed to finish the game under 5 hours, no continues, no health items, kill no enemies, no alert phases, no special items and finish it on the boss extreme difficulty. I had a lot more spare time back then 😓
...
That sounds terrifying
This video has so many excellent analogies and one-liners
I've beaten DOOM in ultra-nightmare mode. It's not that bad once you get most of the weapons and praetor suit upgrades. You just have to be cautious with platforming and learn the proper way to move when fighting. The most risky parts are the boss fights I would say but as long as you keep spamming your siphon grenade you're able to make a few mistakes. In short, it's definitely challenging however the mechanics aren't terribly hard to master and the early game is the most dangerous.
GrizzlySquares how many times did you die? Don't lie
This. It's as much about tactics and practise as actual ability, and practise is simple because nightmare is the exact same difficulty minus the perma-death.
They said you restart at the beginning if the game but I'm pretty sure it's just the beginning of the level
If you die, it's game over, back to the start. However, they weren't strictly correct when they said you can't save, because you can save and exit after each level, so providing you complete a level you can save and come back to it later.
I'm halfway through my second Nightmare playthrough. I hadn't died once during UAC and ResOps, then in the Foundry I died twice to the exact same Engineer. qq

Not one for tactics, but I found Fire emblem with both classic mode and insanity difficulty proves to be a good.... neck cracking head turner. It is even more intense when I want a campaign with no deaths. Granted there are no achievements that I am aware of but I really liked that. (hopefully there is one for the switch)
After about 30+ hours of total playtime, and another 20+ on the mobile version, I've only beaten hyper hexagonest like 3 times ever. It's all about memorising patterns and getting that muscle memory in.
Would you recommend it on mobile?
Halo 2 legendary, hard enough. But what about halo 2 LASO (legendary all skulls on) achievement? No thank you
Once upon a time in days long gone... you had to play Halo 2 on legendary in order to find the skulls. They activated when you found them. The only way to disable them was to remove the game and delete the save data.

My obsessive ass beat Civilization IV on Deity difficulty. My proudest video game achievement though would be beating Mortal Kombat 9's story mode AND the 300 challenge Challenge Tower. That game was insanely hard.
Don't remind me of the Challenge Tower.
“Keep better time than Lars Ulrich himself” - Surprisingly not that difficult of a task
I've never played the drums but done
Lars isnt even in the top 10,000 drummers in the world lol
I was waiting for an anti-Lars comment like this
And that’s why you’re a nobody and he isn’t.
CUZ LIGHTYEAR he’s a great song writer, not a very good drummer.
I really wish these awesome videos had a black background or at least a darker one haha it is blinding to go from dark game scene to white background!
Right, seeing as you're covering non-Xbox games (Touhou) you better make a list on the best soundtracks in games, if I haven't already missed it. Also, the knives are the overlords. Forget the bullets, worship the weapon of the person who can literally stop time.
《 Cyberghoul 》 Is that a TouHou reference?
No, it's a Jojo reference
《 Cyberghoul 》 "Stopping" time is not as impressive as able to kill people with puryfing.
Just fuck everything honestly. I just play for the music bc im a pussy
It'd be unfair, since the entire video would be DOOM 2016.
Im laughing right now, because all Civ games, and all Paradox games, are built to let the AI cheat, at any dificulty because they know that they cant program AI for a bag of chips
In fairness to the developers, it's not that they CAN'T design a smarter AI, it's that they know most potential customers don't have the hardware needed to run it.
Brian Halphin I thought that this is the case in most turn based strategies, or just strategies.
cOmArOrAn That is true but developers aren't pushing themselves very hard to test the threshold. Instead they make some improvements to the AI and then take the much easier path of buffing it.
strategy games and RTS in particular have so many deciding factors for every decision that writing an AI that can beat a "pro" is extremely expensive
one of the few historical games to have the complexity of a modern RTS is Go
AlphaGo used nearly 2000 CPUs and 300 GPUs when playing against pros, also I imagine tons of work, money, knowledge and other resources flowing into the project
A project for developing a similar AI for Starcraft 2 has started, I think some experts say it might take us about 5 years until an AI may beat pros
This probably makes it obvious that right now these studios lack the time, knowledge, hardware and money to program a similar AI
The classical way of programming an AI on the other hand has a totally different approach than the human mind
- it can only deal with the very limited number of situations the programmer coded it for
you just can't patch it so its early game is suddenly good, you can only make it so it has a response to a certain situation in the early game
improving such an AI beyond a certain point will just increase its complexity exponentially
If you come to this point the easiest answer is simply buffing it - because no matter the situation it will work
And now I actually want to complain about AIs too!
Why are there only just 3 or 4 difficulty options???
What is so hard about programming an adjustable difficulty slider, especially if the AI strength comes mostly from buffs?
Even better, you could make multiple adjustable sliders for certain breaking points:
early game, mid game, late game, economy, combat, diplomacy, expansion
That way most players could actually have a challenge throughout all of the game
I ALWAYS have some point in the game when the AI vaporizes me while at some other time its like eating a cake - super easy and you become fat and lazy
Just a quick note about Expert+ Drums from GH: Metallica onwards - ghost notes were only introduced in the last mainline game before GH Live, GH: Warriors Of Rock. Most of the time it was just double bass
"... throws lines at you faster than an actor who has places to be" whoever wrote this deserves the biggest raise holy shit
6:07 Actually, think of it like trying to dodge rain. That is a more accurate description.
You also have the games with a diffficult mode that just buffs all the enemies and throw a bunch more just to annoy you, making a game only longer, not harder (Looking at you, Arishok from Dragon Age 2 !)
Fernando Castro dragon age 2 just got super boring at higher difficulties, you just mash attack for like 10 minutes
Totally, I am playing it again but I got bored at act 2 of gettig jumped by the same bandits every five seconds and decided to lower the difficulty just to enjoy the story. A shame because I really love the game
Dragon Age Origins was pretty hard on just normal mode imo... I died a ton of dies lol.
It's not very creative, but buffing enemies and adding a bunch more is still making it harder.
I never would have completed evil within on akumu mode without Seraphim17's help. That blokes a legend.
the goat
The achievement to finish Hyper Light Drifter without getting hit was pretty insane, I didn't even bother attempt it
I'm doing Akumu difficulty, and I'm getting close to finishing the game I believe. I'm in the house of death with the giant spinning spikes in the circus sounding room
I've completed The Evil Within on akumu, RE7 Ethan must die, and hardcore on Dead Space. I love action horror games
List is seriously missing new york minute hardcore on max payne 3. I cannot imagine dying on the last level.
i was thinking outlast 2 as well
братишка good job one finish them on the hardest modes.👏
Akumu is one of my proudest trophies.
There’s also Impossible difficulty in Dead Space.
Has happened to me, twice. Also the game froze two times during the second to last mission.
Sees "Hyper Hexagonist" mode for Super Hexagon, immediately thinks:
"Take a deep breath, and clear your mind. You know what is best. What is best is that you comply. If you comply, your compliance will be rewarded."
Akumu just requires a lot of understanding of the level and sneak kills. After you get past the first sneaking parts of the game you need to understand movement of enemies, targeting certain enemy types such as Molotov’s or gunners. Also upgrading gun damage is extremely important.
The evil within omg that was a pain in the ass to do it
Amen, Brother
yeah the burning house part goddamn
@@joutuber4714 FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK
Dude you had trouble with that part too???? Jesus fucking Christ man that mother fucking part and the sheer LUCK that was involved in it. One of my only vivid memories of akumu mode in that game. Fuck man you had to break that entire sequence down enemy by enemy to even have a CHANCE of getting past it. The devs DID NOT intend for you to clear that section on akumu. Like, some parts on akumu were hard but that part in particular was actually bordering on impossible.
@@joutuber4714 not difficult if you stocked up on flash bolts upgraded to at least lvl 2
Akumu is pretty hard, but possible..
Juan Lozano ikr I done it xD it was fun though
Juan Lozano it is definitely possible, but it's hard as hell. I love the evil within, but Akumu mode was frustrating at times. The traps that are hidden under the water for example. No way to avoid it unless you are moving extremely slowly and mashing the action button. I did it for the platinum trophy, but it was the one and only playthrough of the evil within that I didn't find fun.
Its more frustrating than impossible or anything else
Juan Lozano a little late but finished both nightmare and akumu
just got through it
Congraturation . This story is happy end. Thank you.
Are you sure that was Rhapsody for the Scarlet Devil's Lunatic difficulty? Looks the same as the other difficulty modes, to me
Hard mode? Not becoming an archer in Skyrim.
[K] true tho.
[K] *stealth archer assassin
No mods is tougher.
[K] I finished as a mage
You're joking, right?
In Civ 5 it was a 300% increase to production on deity for the ai.
And yet it's still pretty easy to beat deity if you know what you're doing.
I was reminded of UHC in Minecraft. It’s not an official difficulty but the challenge is real. UHC is identical to hardcore, where the difficulty is locked to hard and the world is deleted upon death, but with a twist: no natural regeneration. Normally you regenerate health when your hunger bar is full, but with this disabled, the only way to regenerate health is healing items. Which wouldn’t be a problem if they weren’t all “late” game. Every single mistake you make will stick with you for a long time.
I have to say that Super Hexagon, despite being a game I doubt highly I could excel at, has a *banger* of a soundtrack (even the reversed music).
No mention of DMC’s Hell Or Hell mode? I mean, Heaven Or Hell mode is already a slog since you have one hit point before dying but the enemy do as well so that’s far but then Hell Or Hell mode steps it up a notch and now all the enemies have their standard health while they can all just one shot you. I haven’t got passed Heaven Or Hell yet and the idea of Hell Or Hell seems ridiculous
This is old, but you get check points and three gold orbs. It wasn't THAT bad
And DmC was a great game, but the was the easiest in the series by far.
Just use your pistols and you'll beat the game in about 15 minutes.
If you have played Hatsune Miku project diva future tone, you should know that the extreme charts (and ex extreme) will destroy you, easily, I will say, it's PAIN.
Also Jane, I never completely saw a full expert+ chart, but I bet that future tone got a harder chart, also drummania's the least 100 sec or daydream ext is just hard with drums even dolice, the best iidx player (possibly) but I know he had trouble doing a re full combo on daydream with a keyboard that makes it a lot easier to fc, AND that's not talking about lots of level 12 another charts in beatmania iidx, no one ever in this game EVER AAA FC'd Mei on another, the hardest chart ever in the benami series SIMPLY PUT.
What about some osu maps like galaxy collapse and fool moon's night (talking osu!standard here, not mania)?
They really had Claire de lune playing in the background during the evil within 😂
Edit: i played it for the first time and it's in the damn game it's self I'm late af
Question.
How difficult is the final difficulty of Ninja Gaiden 2?
I never got to that difficulty. But, I did have a major rage moment when I was about to beat a boss on one of the higher difficulties, (after trying for over an hour), and just as I'm about to give the finishing blow, my video cable loses connection.
guilmon981 Yeah, apparently I offended someone somewhere down the line.
The Ninja Gaiden games on Master ninja are insane. I've played it for both Ninja Gaiden Black and Ninja Gaiden 2 and in both I got to about level/area 3 or 4. Then it became so hard that I just got stuck. You can't carry a lot of health items, and upgrades are very expensive. Did not bother wit NG3 because I that game was a bit meh.
Mikanoes I was looking for this comment. So insane
guilmon981 First time I played through Ninja Gaiden 2, I got the achievement for dying 100 times right around the time I got to the werewolves. Which is only, you know, half-way through the game.
Jelmar Scheele The highest difficulty I ever got to was the one where you start the first mission fighting those red ninja with the incendiary shuriken. I think it was Mentor difficulty.
I. Hate. Those. Ninja.
Then, after you kill them, you go and fight ninja who use the RYNO from Ratchet and Clank. For the life of me, I could not figure out a good strategy to easily kill those ninja. I could throw a few shuriken at them. And they respond with a dozen rapid fire rockets to my face.
