I can't tell you how much I love Yogi. My grandfather started as kid watching Babe Ruth, Gehrig, grew into Dimaggio and Mantle. Berra was his favorite.
I met Yogi (during his break from the Yankees)- he took a picture with me, son (8 years old), daughter (7 years old) and he was a holding a cigarette - he made sure that cigarette was not seen by my kids. Have that picture in my home office / now signed by Yogi. One of the best humans ever. #8
How can anyone do such a thing to YOGI an AMERICAN ICON ! The most kindest person in all of Sports . SMH I just don’t understand how can anyone stoop so low as to do something like this …
In the mid-1980s, around my mid-twenties, I serendipitously crossed paths with Yogi and his wife, Carmen. They were an incredibly charming couple, radiating warmth and kindness. Recognizing Yogi's fame, I chose to respect his privacy, heeding my grandfather's advice: "Don't put a celebrity in a fishbowl." Over the years, I was fortunate enough to spend time with them on several occasions. They had this remarkable way of making me feel like part of their family, despite our lack of blood relation. Those moments are deeply treasured in my heart.
I remember asking a guy behind the desk at a hotel in Ocala Florida if I could use his phone. He was very nice and gracious and said sure. After I walked away I was approached and asked do you know who that was? It was George Steinbrenner. He owned the place.
Man o man what a great ballpayer parent grandfather husband a great human being they dont make em like this anymore. Im sure hes very proud of his granddaughter.
I am HORRIFIED by this story! I collect Batman toys and memorabilia. I can't imagine someone stealing and destroying a rare piece. This is the first time I've heard this. Blew me away.
I chatted YOGI up in 2010. Underneath all the YANKEES Gear his was wearing, I told him I knew underneath he was a NEW YORK MET. He played his last professional games as a a MET. Retired with a .333 BA (2-6) He chuckled loudly and proceeded to tell me it was him who said " it aint over till its over!" during the 1973 Mets improbable Pennant Run. YOGI telling me personally he coined one of the best and apropos expressions in Baseball and life! Truly one of a kind! Thanks for the YOO HOO. Yogi!
Sometimes I don’t understand the concept of forgiveness. This was not a simple mistake, it was calculated, and premeditated burglary for which they destroyed. How can you forgive someone for that? It does not make you a better person because you choose not to forgive another. That’s just my take, what an asshole that guy is.
Don't judge any one belong to any cast even they've your colic or occupied because anyone don't have to right learn own book's its crime in all language even leadership has no right to learn this path '

ITS SAD!!
No mention of Suzyn Waldman???
I know she was the one who approached Mr Steinbrenner & it started from there.
Any consequences for the guy who stole the rings?
Yes, thank G'd. He went to prison for 4.25 years, and is now facing Federal charges this year.
So he’s a career criminal who gets caught after disgracing the rings and rats on his crew… he looks the part too
The Pride of the Hill!
Legend 🐻
Dad??😭😭
dang she lost out on hundreds of thousands on those rings
You’d b better off selling them on the black market
let a black dude steal some legendary Yankees memorabilia-- definitely wouldn't end up on 60 minutes😂😂😂😂

Thief and a snitch.
Dumb.
Too many shorts clogging my feed, had to unsub. Also how does the critical drinker have nearly as many subs as you?
Too many shorts? That's RUclips's fault for trying to be TikTok.
@@scarpfish Yup sounds true but same outcome, came for quality, unsub'ed with spam
