I think I would add Rancor in. It would be great to see it early game to help ensure damage gets through each turn. Since your elementals will lose their creature status at the end of your turn, you'll get Rancor back and can just continue to cycle it as needed. Seems like a really cheap and flexible way to help make sure damage gets through each turn.
Personally I would probably try fitting some of the Leylines into the deck. Other cards I would try slotting into the deck are Molten Echoes for more copies of Artifacts and Enchamtments, Gruul War Chant giving each creature +1/+0 and Menace, Shamanic Revalation as draw and life gain, Sight of the Scalelord which gives everything with toughness 4 or greater +2/+2 and Shared Animosity because I do not own Coat of Arms. Cradle Clearcutter and Skitterbeam Battalion are some nice Prototype creatures which could fit into the deck. I'd also add Cards which generate tokens like Wolfcaller's Howl, Paradox Zone, From Beyond, Court of Embereth and cut some of the creatures in the deck. Also Ward of Bones would be a nice card for Bello if you want to be hated by your playgroup.
Talks about Vigilance, doesn't add Sight of the Scale Lords to buff for +2/+2 and give Vigilance, but then removes the mana rocks that can be creatures and still tap for mana with vigilance. Makes sense.
[Asceticism] is a neat add. I gonna have to see if I can't find a copy. Thanks! I can't bring myself to cut [Tendershoot Dryad]. [Tendershoot Dryad] and [Sandwurm Convergence] are some of the strongest defenses in the deck. Keeping up a wall of token fodder goes a long way towards protecting your life total, and there are surprisingly few 4+ cost artifacts/enchantments that churn out tokens every turn. Another card I have my eyes on is [Court of Embereth] for just that reason.
Love the suggestions and breakdown! I would probably add birds of paradise for the flying and any mana color or you can never go wrong with more protection with heroic intervention!
For this one I'm thinking Elven Chorus would be a great inclusion. It costs enough to get Belloa's effect, gives you that persistent look ahead option, effectively turns any top-deck creature into optional card draw, and if you've got something massive you want to cast you can turn to your creatures to dork that on out.
I think you are on the right track with providing trample. Surrak and Goreclaw are great for that. Big body provides trample to all and haste to creatures on the turn they enter.
The deck is mainly permanents, wants big enchantments/artifacts and generates treasure. May I suggest "Aid from the Cowl"? Cracking a treasure triggers revolt and can put a permanent from the top of library onto the battlefield on your end step. And it's an enchantment that can also crack in and attack
Some really good budget additions imo is roadside reliquary and Elvish Archivist. Roadside reliquary gives you pretty much draw 2 on a land. And the elf is a great budget 2 drop that gets bigger and draws you cards as your deck gets going
I know this one might be a bit of an odd add-in, but Orcish Lumberjack + some land recursion like Conduit/Crucible of World could help hit those Expend triggers!
Desperately, I must say colossal majesty is lovely card draw. Gaea's gift is a quick protection spell for the commander. Elven Chorus allows your enchantments and artifacts affected by your commander to then tap for mana. Wilderness recklamation could be helpful to cause problems. I believe decimate most of the time will be able to target your own indestructible enchantments to then hit the other targets.
A super powerful card I foresee being in this deck is actually boompile. It basically turns it into a one sided repeatable board wipe on your turn, which would mean recasting the commander but you also destroy potentially 3 other board states in the process
I'd add in Broken Fall, it's an enchantment that you can return to hand (giving you more enchantress triggers) and it will allow you to regenerate your creature enchantments
You Missed Jolene, Plundering Pugilist since you're attacking with power four or more, she generates a treasure. Giving you a consistant mana fix since you're removing some rocks and generation.
I would add Frontier Siege to this deck. You will always pick Khans which will give you 4 additional green mana each turn (2 mana in each of your main phases), including 2 mana the turn you play it assuming you cast it during our first main. It's an incredible card in virtually every deck, but even better here since it's a 4 MV enchantment to synergize with Bello. I would also consider Gimli's Reckless Might for repeatable removal (interaction is too low for me). Since your attacking artifacts/enchantments have indestructible you can fight without losing anything. Plus it is again 4 MV and will thus become a creature itself with Bello.
Just for fun, gotta suggest my favorite Gruul combo.. Xenagos & Bloodthirster. 😂 didn’t plan on getting anything from this set but now the urge to build a Frog deck & good ol trash pandas is gonna be hard to pass up
Here's a funny interaction. The face commander with the gods from Theros. If your devotion isn't met for the gods, this guy turns them into 4/4's and provides card draw. I think the four mana and higher ones are definite includes. Could also throw in the dictates from Journey into Nyx. Either flash them in when you feel necessary if he's not on the field, or just play the Twin Gods and double all damage your indestructible 4/4s deal the turn they attack. Maybe also some vehicles. Since they aren't technically creatures until you crew them, turning them into 4/4's can help activate their on attack abilities. Think Skysoveriegn, Consul Flagship and Weatherlight (Dominaria).
Bolt Bend would make for a great addition to protect your combat since Bello makes each artifact and enchantment meet the requirement to make it cost R
I'll be running some of the raccoons in the deck to keep on theme, because some of them are manadorks, and for that expend 4 abilities a bunch of them have to see how that works.
The Myles that gives all your creatures trample would be perfect. It’s too expensive for a budget list, but beating someone over the head with the one ring would be hilarious.
I'd definitely add the Lotus Cobra Nissa, she helps you spike mana to get your big stuff out and finds tons of the cards in the deck, so she's reliable draw for every turn you can trigger that (then I'd probably add some of the new capenna fetches to help trigger her on a budget)
Rage reflection could be good to double up on those card draw triggers. I've seen people mention rite of the raging storm too to throw more damage around
I was all ready to say Ascetism before you revealed it. So its tough... I think Fanatic of Rhonas fits very well since you are pretty much always going to fulfill it's Ferocious requirement
Bello it's a really METAL Racoon!! But you know what is nearly as metal as well?? A Burning Giant Wolf!! 🔥🐺🔥 Wildsear is what I'm most interested to try from this deck.
Mirror March and Flameshadow Conjuring getting upgrade nods for me. They come in on my side of the value curve a lot more, similar effect of pumping out more 4/4's, and if my Enter/Exit's have good boosts I'm hitting double+ triggers depending on the way I let them play out.
Y'all didn't really "miss" this because it's not an actually good idea, but I really want to build a raccoon tribal deck with big enchantments/artifacts remaining a subtheme. Can switch between bello and muerra and try to keep a good balance between the two. I've already seen people recommend cutting big rocks, but I think playing like a thran dynamo into a different big artifact/enchantment, while bad for setting up a lot of 4/4 bello attackers, is great for meeting big expend requirements early in the game, not to mention that being able to chain multiple 4cmc pieces for bello in a turn can help set up a big bello turn later on. Chandra ignition seems good when most of your creatures are indestructible. I assume trample + deathtouch enablers are going to be very popular, to guarantee damage to players and lots of cards drawn.
I have a copy of Nature's Will from the Enchanting Tales slot of Wilds of Eldraine that I've been trying to find a home for. Being a 4 cost enchantment that would let you untap after you hit with even 1 creature, seems like it would be great here.
I'm pretty new to Magic so not good at deckbuilding yet, but I would maybe add Prizefight, because 1) it is cool and has a fighting RACCOON so that must fit lol, 2) the fighting mechanic seems workable with the buffed up creatures bit of this deck's strategy, 3) it fits the Treasure subtheme
CONGRATS!!! You have been selected as the winner of this pre-con! Please email us at southern.sorcerymtg@gmail.com so we can verify everything and get your winnings to you! Woo hoo!!!
Love this precon, I think it needs more ramp, elvish mystic and fyndhorn elves would be fantastic adds, id definitely take out most of the creatures and fully focus in on the artifact&enchantments
I think Pentavus is a good include, for creating blockers when our artifacts and enchantment are no longer creatures, also the Nev Disk for repeatable boardwipe if it sticks arround
Bramble Sovereign seems like an mvp in the deck. Your artifacts/enchantments with mana value 4 or greater enter as creatures so you can pay the 1G to make a token copy of it.
Belo as a 'backup commander' in Ghired decks, making a token copy of Unnatural Growth, and then 4 more copies and then running wild with a couple creatures with Myriad would be wild.
With Blinkmoth urn, as long as you attack with it it will be tapped on your opponents turns so they won't get the mana, but it untaps for you so you get the mana on your precombat main phase.
@@SouthernSorcery it really does seem busted if your opponents can't remove it by your next turn. And you'll always have plenty of cards to cast with all the mana
I'd add Nylea, God of the Hunt. Bello gets around her devotion requirement if you don't have it, and she gives all your trash boys some much needed trample. She's a little pricey at $6, but I think she's so strong in this is worth making room for her.
Personally I'd double down on the Trample, adding Nylea God of the Hunt, Archetype of Agression, Nylea's Forerunner, just so that having Trample on board is more consistent. I'd also add Archetype of Endurance for another Hexproof enabler.
This whole set of decks just looks fun, which is terrible, because I just finished building a couple new decks, just started building two more, and now this! There aren't enough hours in the day to play all the games of commander this is gonna require.
Nice upgrade! I want to try running Nexus of Becoming for the draw and to cheat out big artifacts and creatures while still benefitting from Bello's effect.
I see big creature deck I add Nylea god of the hunt. Trample to everyone and she's always indestructible and has a mana sync if this deck needs it. Rishkar's expertise is also a nice card draw plus free thing although enchantments are probably better for this deck. Love the board wipe evasion as the creatures are enchantments and there's lots of powerful and fun enchantments to add. These commanders are all so adorable and they still beat face too :)
I would have added from Warhammer 40k the vehicle Reaver titan that it will turn into a creature, has protection from 3 cmc or less and every attack does 5 damage to each opponent. Really hard to deal with
Hey, for this deck I would love to integrate "Zendikar Resurgent". So i'd get the 4+ cmc enchantment, card draw and mana ramp all in one. Would need to test out if it is worth it due to its high mana costs, but I'd love to try it
I think Abundance could be interesting in tje deck since u get the land if u need one or a nomland card if ur flooded woth lands amd get a great attacker out of it on ur turn!
I was thinking about obelisk or urd, but I'm new so I'm not sure if it would work out the way I think it would(Choose elemental and then it's a creature that buffs itself and other creatures.)
There's a fair few cards in the new set that could go hard in this one, it's a hard one on this as I think maybe the second commander might be the better one, 38 lands is fine however I personally can't see the burnished hart coming out though, there's enough in there without having to rummage through the deck to find them, add in another big dino or a fun artefact
I want to add an ent card for the Guardians reference.
Then just spend the whole game saying ‘I am Gruul’. 😂
hahaha that would be the best!
I think the idea of animating all the artifacts is to cool and thematic. All the precons are GREAT and the set as a whole is so pretty
I just got into MTG a week ago and I'm excited to start with this set, the art reminds me of the childrens book "Frog and Toad"
I’m literally wearing that shirt in the video!!
I'm actually surprised no one mentioned that during previews!
@@SouthernSorcery I just noticed 😂
Reimds me of Brian Jaques. I'm also excited for this set.
Personally I would probably try fitting some of the Leylines into the deck. Talks about Vigilance, doesn't add Sight of the Scale Lords to buff for +2/+2 and give Vigilance, but then removes the mana rocks that can be creatures and still tap for mana with vigilance. Makes sense.
My favorite precon so far, own 10 I believe. Game tonight solidify it for me. The ramp, the power! Haha so cool
I would personally consider running Saheeli's Directive as a mana sink to dig up a small army
[Asceticism] is a neat add. I gonna have to see if I can't find a copy. Thanks! I can't bring myself to cut [Tendershoot Dryad]. [Tendershoot Dryad] and [Sandwurm Convergence] are some of the strongest defenses in the deck. Love the suggestions and breakdown! I would probably add birds of paradise for the flying and any mana color or you can never go wrong with more protection with heroic intervention!
The new card "Dragonhawk, Fate's Tempest" could be a cool way to get continuous card advantage and incidental ping damage from all your 4/4 Elementals
Good video, I like the balance of adding strong, but still fun for the table cards!
I love Case of the locked hothouse here. Ramps and then lets you play cards off the top. Perfect!
I think you are on the right track with providing trample. Surrak and Goreclaw are great for that. Big body provides trample to all and haste to creatures on the turn they enter.

This is the first MtG set I'm getting into since New Phyrexia way back when, so I've got NO idea what cards are relevant but I'm excited to find out
I would be adding The Great Henge and Akroma's Memorial!! Let's ramp and get that damage through!
A super powerful card I foresee being in this deck is actually boompile. It basically turns it into a one sided repeatable board wipe on your turn, which would mean recasting the commander but you also destroy potentially 3 other board states in the process
Love it! Also the name of the deck is very real to how it plays.
Great video as always. I will also be adding a Shamanic Revelation to deck for sure.
That’s a great addition
I'd add in Broken Fall, it's an enchantment that you can return to hand (giving you more enchantress triggers) and it will allow you to regenerate your creature enchantments
I like Obelisk of Urd, Frontier Siege, Akroma's Memorial, and Zendikar's Resurgence for this deck.
This precon looks like the most fun of the bunch to me 😅 i think Fanatic of Rhonas from Mh3 could be amazing in this deck. Keep up the awesome work
They really made a deck for all the trash pandas out there!
You Missed Jolene, Plundering Pugilist since you're attacking with power four or more, she generates a treasure. Giving you a consistant mana fix since you're removing some rocks and generation.

Dictate of the twin gods and fiery emancipation would be awesome. Watching from NZ!
I think RMS Titanic vehicle would be an awesome include in this deck.
Darksteel Forge. Huge. Indestructible. Focus on artifacts instead of enchantments. I might actually try this.
Here's a funny interaction. The face commander with the gods from Theros. If your devotion isn't met for the gods, this guy turns them into 4/4's and provides card draw. I think the four mana and higher ones are definite includes.

Really love the fun of this sort of world. We need more super cute forest creatures.
Rage reflection could be good to double up on those card draw triggers. I've seen people mention rite of the raging storm too to throw more damage around

Oh hey, a deck where it might make sense to run Omenpath Journey. I've been looking for a deck where running that card makes sense.
SO CLOSE TO RELEASE DAY GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!! 💚
Good recommendations. Most of those are affordable. Fires of Yavamaya is a good cheap upgrade if it's not already featured.
Shamanic Revelation might be a worthwhile inclusion.
I have a copy of Nature's Will from the Enchanting Tales slot of Wilds of Eldraine that I've been trying to find a home for. Being a 4 cost enchantment that would let you untap after you hit with even 1 creature, seems like it would be great here.
I think I would add a Ghalta in as all the creatures would get her in really fast.
beastmaster ascension could be a good addition to this deck since it would make all of the small tokens more menacing in different scenarios

I think Pentavus is a good include, for creating blockers when our artifacts and enchantment are no longer creatures, also the Nev Disk for repeatable boardwipe if it sticks arround
For card draw I’m taking out harmonize & adding shamanic revelation. For one more mana we can potentially draw way more cards plus gain hella life

Favorite of the precons, excited to try it out
Hellkite Tyrant might be an interesting addition
I think possibility storm is just a fun card to have lying around in any deck.
I’d maybe add an Academy Manufacturer to lean into the token play! 🤞
Let the cuteness overwhelm you
With Blinkmoth urn, as long as you attack with it it will be tapped on your opponents turns so they won't get the mana, but it untaps for you so you get the mana on your precombat main phase.
oh totally! it's even better than i thought then haha! Great catch!
@@SouthernSorcery it really does seem busted if your opponents can't remove it by your next turn. And you'll always have plenty of cards to cast with all the mana
I like this gruul enchantress theme although I may change things around the backup commander to cascade into lots of enchantment value.
Maaann, Solemn Simulacrum is such an easy answer, it becomes a 4/4 that can attack and draws while striking and blocking
Or else, you can use a birthing pod made creature and do "nom nom nom nom" sounds when it sacrifices creatures
I will go a bit more in an artifact build direction and thus I'm adding a Nevinyrral's Disk, because why have friends when you can win?
I'd add Nylea, God of the Hunt. Bello gets around her devotion requirement if you don't have it, and she gives all your trash boys some much needed trample.
She's a little pricey at $6, but I think she's so strong in this is worth making room for her.
I think the Immortal Sun would be a really solid include for the precon
Personally I'd double down on the Trample, adding Nylea God of the Hunt, Archetype of Agression, Nylea's Forerunner, just so that having Trample on board is more consistent.
I'd also add Archetype of Endurance for another Hexproof enabler.
I feel that new card dragonhawk, fate's tempest would work really well in this deck
This whole set of decks just looks fun, which is terrible, because I just finished building a couple new decks, just started building two more, and now this! There aren't enough hours in the day to play all the games of commander this is gonna require.
Nature’s Will for sure!
This set single handily got my wife into magic, and she loves this deck!
First time my wife has ever been excited for Magic!
I would want to put in aggravated assault as an animated enchantment that can also warp the battlefield
Nice upgrade! I want to try running Nexus of Becoming for the draw and to cheat out big artifacts and creatures while still benefitting from Bello's effect.

I’m new to magic so I have no clue which card would be good. Like the upgrades
Endurance and flare of cultivation feel like good adds from MH3…
I would have added from Warhammer 40k the vehicle Reaver titan that it will turn into a creature, has protection from 3 cmc or less and every attack does 5 damage to each opponent. Really hard to deal with
Chishiro, the shattered blade would be fun for a equipment sub theme
The only addition I can think of is Saryth, the Viper's Fang.

I think cindervines could be useful, because it gives you a lot of versatility and a cheap 4/4 body
I would add domri, anarch of bolas to get creatures out more consistently
I would put in archetype of agression and archetype of endurance for better damage and protection for the commander
You guys know me well enough, The thing you missed was just starting over with Wildsear. So happy to have a new wolf!
Shared Animosity seems like a nice inclusion.

Throw in a coat of arms for a nice +1+1 across the board for all of your elementals.
Should have been called trash for treasure lol.
This seems sweet. I really like wildsear a lot.
manamorphose! just free mana! also this set is suuuper cool and super adorable
I was thinking about obelisk or urd, but I'm new so I'm not sure if it would work out the way I think it would(Choose elemental and then it's a creature that buffs itself and other creatures.)
Wear Down would be a good removal from the new set as well
There's a fair few cards in the new set that could go hard in this one, it's a hard one on this as I think maybe the second commander might be the better one, 38 lands is fine however I personally can't see the burnished hart coming out though, there's enough in there without having to rummage through the deck to find them, add in another big dino or a fun artefact
Dual Nature basically doubles every other artifact/enchantment that comes into play that turn.
I love this set😊😊😊 the new card dragonhawk
