I have been singing it's praises ever since I got my new RS tank. This ATO is a game changer. With all the information it provides it's a definite buy!!
I've been using this for three weeks now. The leak detector is giving me frequent false warnings of leaks. I've turned that feature off for now. But what does it say about the reliability of the ATO sensor itself?
I clean all my motorless equipment once a month. Heaters included. It takes 10 minutes tops with some RO water, a toothbrush, and a descaling reef safe agent like aquaforest Easy Goss - which is a glass cleaner, descaler, and is made to clean off stubborn salt creep and mineral buildup. I clean my pumps and other moving parts once every 6 months with citric acid. that takes 30 minutes. People who can't set a few minutes aside every month for 10-15 minutes of maintenance of their gear blow my mind. especially things as expensive as what's in this hobby
Hi, I just wonder, can someone in your group do a step by step how program a Neptune wav pumps. I just buy a Neptune wave pumps kit, I currently hook to my EB832, but I'm not sure program correctly. Thanks
I recently purchased RedSea Reefer S-1000 G2. It's going through Water Cycle now, but after initial installation was done, the technician who installed it asked me to get a water reservoir so that they can hookeup the ATO. After I did, i called him to come in and install it, he wants to charge me US$180 for installation! WTF. Then he text me asking if I were planning installing Auto Dosing, Wave Maker, etc. He said it will cost me the same. The last saltwater aquarium I've had was in 1990's in Miami. and it was just a 4-footer tank. This 7-footer reefer with the sump is a totally different game. When is the right time to install the wave maker? when all livestock in place, or, ideally it goes now? what about the price? Is it any reasonable at all, or a total rip off? what about DYI, any videos? (BTW, that price is installation only, the actual ATO is already here)
Good product, app is impressive but 50% of the features are unneeded and it’s missing a few very important features. Not sure why Redsea didn’t include a max top off setting or at least an alert. Mine dumped 5 gallons of fresh water into my tank in one day while I was traveling.
it's $200 flat. there's a cheaper $180 option for people with a redsea tank that don't need the magnet bracket. It's cheaper and as good as if not better than the Osmolator people already spent 300 on. It's also got a warrantee that doesn't suck. So you can keep buying a new ATO for 50 bucks every year or less, or something like this or an Osmolator that will last you 5+ years and if it doesn't, a warrantee that gets you a brand new one.
Too many things in one setup... I prefer the opposite: one thing with redundancies in the setup. Because if your ATO fails, say goodbye to your oversalty aquascape. This is why the Tunze OSMOLATOR ATO is the chosen one, bro.
I just built my ATO last weekend and it cost me less than $20.00. 1. $10.00 pump. 2.$5.00 relay. 3.$5.00 for 2 float switches. Used two float switches just in case one fails. I wish I have $200 just for an ATO😢😢😢

Have mine running now for a few weeks, couldn’t b happier with it.
How many power cords does this have? I’m about at my limit 😭
Give it time.
Thomas always gets a 👍
I'm tempted to buy it just for the fish figurines that come with it!!!
Hahahahaha
Game changer and Thomas gets an A!

Titanium probes are questionable.. get covered with any bio film or dirt and they could fail. I’m curious to see how it performs over time…

Optical sensors are the same. They need to be wiped frequently.

Best ato out
Can it be mounted on the Red Sea Nano Max Cube?
how to change temperature from f to c in reefbeat

will this work for freshwater?
From BRS Details: "Note: Suitable for saltwater aquariums only"
And how many of thousands does this ato costs?
Super affordable! I think I got mine for $150ish which is cheaper than some other ATO systems out there
$200 for non Reefer sump owner, $179 for existing Reefer owners. Difference is the magnetic bracket inclusion.

@@mous3y490 no. Sensor works in saltwater only
Then there's dosing pumps....ugh.
