I already moved to Neo but...... But sometimes I must go back to LR to remove noise from the AuroraBorealis photos. That is the only reason why I still got LR still installed! Neo isnt there yet with their Noise Removing.

I agree. Luminar Neo has a serious learning curve (only because it is so advanced), but after some initial questioning of why I switched from LRC, that I already knew, I started to appreciate all that NEO offers and the end results with my Fuji raw files.

I can't say this is the reason why, but when you are in business anything that lasts more than a year you have to depreciate on your taxes. It is more or less a wash in the end, but depreciating anything is a real pain. A monthly lease is a business expense and can be expensed out instead of being depreciated. It makes more sense to buy the software as a private person, but to lease it as a business. It is why most equipment is bought on lease. It pretty much costs the same in the end, but you can expense the equipment out instead of depreciating it. I find Lightroom to be a much better photo management software, but Luminar to be a much better photo editing software. The right tool for the job.

Just bought luminar, while it's good, I can't say their AI masking is as good as Lightroom, which is a big hit, but I like it so far

Unstable, slow, horrible catalogue, etc. etc.
Luminar is for hobbyists who use it 2-3 per month and don’t want a subscription.

It might be because of computer processing speeds

@@LandscapePhotographyUniversityLuminar is known for their very bad software - new versions all the time dropping the old versions without ever getting them optimised, a simple google search would show you that.

Luminar NEO honestly looks awful. Overpriced for what it offers.

Isnt it obvious? Because @Bowiehair said so. You never have to explain your opinion, when you are confident enough
