The only thing that will save us is a fan takeover. Going amateur was always going to kill the club. It won’t return in its current state. McGirk wasn’t perfect and was afraid to pull the trigger, but he recognised the importance and benefits of being a full time side. This new chairman is disingenuous, he only wanted a potential pay day. Going amateur and systematically destroying everything that was built before was never going to mean success. I seriously doubt we’ll be back up in my lifetime. Very very sad to see and I hope at the very least the chairman sells up! But be reasonable this team is worth a fraction of what it was a year ago
Honestly as a Chester fan a fan takeover only works if it’s done right for example we haven’t been the best as a fan owned club and most of our fans want to go back to being a non fan owned club
