There is an advantage for Ganesh not being a native speaker. He has the same experience as the rest of you. He knows what was hard for him to learn, and what helped him learn and what did not help.
It can be difficult for a native speaker to imagine being an adult and learning English as a second language. The main impetus for this is that it's easiest to pick-up and learn a language when you are a child. Of course, this applies to any language, not just English.
