You have clearly made the right decision for you - running should be something we enjoy and I think it’s great that you have taken the pressure off yourself. Enjoy exploring your new local runs and settling in to your new home. 🙂
Thank you so much!! I couldn't agree more, I hated that I had started to feel like I was forcing it and it just didn't make sense to do a race at the end! ❤️
I’ve made the mistake of entering races, knowing that I wasn’t feeling it, carrying on out of bravado - and inevitably not enjoying them. Utterly defeats the purpose. Fair play. (Your new field looks great BTW.)
Making this decision shows incredible strength of character Laura - and enjoyment of running, and feeling happy and confident in running in your new area is so much more important than any races. Looking at the comments here, there is nothing but support behind you! Take your time, get the love back, and then plan for races when you feel ready, again!
Totally get it the wheels are falling off my running because of personal stuff..considering not doing the half in October either..please don't apologise you have done the right thing x
Thank you so much for this! It's such a strange feeling to suddenly feel it, but I cannot tell you how much better I feel once I made that decision! Hope you're doing ok! ❤️
Thank you for making this video. I have been feeling the same about an event as my training has been poor too. Your video has made me realise that pulling out is the right thing to do. See, even videos about not running and helpful and supportive.😊
Good decision Laura. Mov8ng house s crazy stressful. Making the right decision for you shows strength. So many people do things because they ought to, or feel they have to, or worry what others think, it’s crazy. Enjoy whatever you do next, maybe it won’t be running, maybe it will, but whatever it is, have fun. 💕
Best decision for you Laura. No point going through months of hating it just for the sake of it. It takes a stronger person to accept it than putting it off.... there will be many more runs to do in time x
Well done for making the decision that's right for you! It takes great strength to recognise when things aren't going to plan and adapting around it. Take your time and get comfortable with what you are doing. We'll keep supporting you and Andy! Good luck with settling in to your new place!
Laura don't panic life ain't easy but you don't need to make it worse. Find a local social running club, try the local sports/runner shop. A year off is nothing to worry about, I took two years off and this year I'm running 4 Half's. When you're feeling it, you're feeling it good or bad.
@@LauravsLife I've got the Great North Run in a few weeks and that is just for fun as there are so many people running it. The crowd is amazing and I'm planning to enjoy it.
Oh you poor thing, don't worry though. Best call to not do it, to run and not be 100% can be more counter productive. I'm still following, who knows next year😁 Enjoy your new home. PS I am down to do Worcester but have not run for 2 weeks, can't get motivated😢
Thank you so much! That's honestly so lovely of you to say!! Good luck your end, and I hope you are able to find the motivation, but if not good luck with whatever you do 😊
Do what brings you joy. Training for the half didn't, so you wisely made the change. P.S. Andy needs to learn to put down the camera and comfort you when you are upset. ((Hugs))
I love you Laura, even this shows you’re just keeping it real and running is not all about pb’s and half marathons. Loved the video and your lovey honesty. Enjoy your new home ❤️
Hey Laura, my wife and I really enjoy your videos but please don’t feel you owe any of us any explanations. Do whatever is the best thing for you. As long as you are enjoying your running, or not running, then that is all that matters. If you do make future videos and keep running you will always have two supporters here.

@@LauravsLife maybe it could be your target for next year... Focus on the finish line rather than the finish time.
