Why The Beatles 'Get Back' Matters

I wanted to start 2022 with a shorter essay discussing why The Beatles Get Back was such an important movie for me last year. This is definitely a more personal one of these kinds of essays, but I hope you appreciate it.

Turns out, we have a lot in common. I, too, had a Beatles hyperfixation in middle and high school that gave way to other pursuits. What made me fall back in love with The Beatles was Giles Martin’s 50th anniversary remasters of Sgt. Pepper, The White Album, Abbey Road, and Let It Be. What Martin was able to bring out in these albums that I thought I knew front to back made me feel like I was listening to them for the first time. If you haven’t listened to them, please do.
