Not knowing barre chords as a beginner was a blessing in disguise for me because I used a capo all over the neck instead. Say we played a G-F-C song.. I’d use capo on 3 and play G-F-C in an E-D-A shape. Same for capo on 5 in a D-C-G shape. This made me find chords and notes for chords and memorization of the fretboard. Maybe someone else reading this has had that experience as well
@@randywachter Randy I'm with you don't fear the Capo, it's another tool and should never be called a crutch. If you see guitar greats using a capo they must have a reason.
How can you keep up the opposite of fail? Lmao that’s not realistic and doesn’t work! Did you know that actions can FAIL? You can keep up the good try (the word under fail) but do you actually think that just because you try that your attempt will work? Grow up.
I can do F major barre chord just fine and further up the neck I can do C minor pretty well but F minor I always mute the G string even trying it over and over and over again. It is probably harder than even the weird G#/E7 chord, I even made that one a bit easier by making up a new chord apparently called G#mB6 according to a chord calculator and I am struggling with that one (learning Don't Look Back in Anger by Oasis and got everything else but these two down).
Your a great Teacher loved watching your video very easy tried to find your link to download the barchoeds didn't have any success can you send me your website pls so I can get a copy of the barchords thankyou. 😉
Like another viewer, I've struggled with barre chords for months (actually longer). Unfortunately, my wrist doesn't rotate so that it's dead flat against the neck of the guitar as shown in this video. At best, mine rotates far less, so that I can kind of almost do a barre chord if I held my guitar neck very high, similar to that of a classical guitarist. (My supinate range of motion is 45 degrees).
Hi James. I have a question! I'm not sure learning the bar chord if I should make the bar first then put my other fingers down on the fret board or put my fingers down first and then the bar. I'm having a hard time putting the bar chords down all at the same time. Can you please give me some advice?Thank's
Has a barre chord ever stopped you from learning a song? Which one?
