Nice cow work, but the pattern was really rough, not pleasant to watch at all
clearly behind the vertical and horse keeps opening mouth to escape from sharp bit! Harsh rider, not a nice ride to watch!
And she had to keep kicking him to move him to a walk from standing. That horse didn't want to go forward.
@@63Malda mixed signals. I wouldnt go forward either if everytime I did I got my face yanked on. And I ride reining and boxing! This is something I'd see at junior competitions, not world champion of AQHA.
Hes staying behind the bit and she’s using her legs to ride him into the bit.
I cannot believe this is a world champion ride either. This is a pretty sloppy ride for a world champion. The pattern work.. The cow work was much better.
The cow work was really good, but I don't see how they could let a horse with such ugly movement be world champion. She's fighting the rider through the entire pattern, not fast enough in the fast circles, barely spins, not slow enough in the slow circles. That was an ugly run to watch. That horse and rider have no chemistry. If my barrel mare spun, she could beat them any day, stops, slow, and cow work included. She's a much smoother mover, soft, cooperative, and moves the fast and the slow. Total opposite of this mare. This "world champion" absolutely sucked.
Then you should go to Congress with your mare

Well we don’t really know her background on that horse so we can’t judge to much.
I live half way across the county from the Congress. It's not worth it for me to go. My horse doesn't spin because she's never needed to. All a barrel horse is going to do spinning is tear up their hocks and end their career early. As far as background, if you're a decent rider and the horse doesn't absolutely hate you, they aren't going to fight you like this. I've gotten on completely strange horses that I've never seen in person before and had a more pleasant time with them than this horse is having. The most important thing in showing a horse is showcasing the teamwork between the horse and rider, and this pair is not a team. The horse has amazing natural ability, but she needs a person that she gets along with better. Some people and horses just don't get along with each other, these two look like a good example of a pairing that just doesn't quite work.
Honestly, I totally agree. My pleasure mare could’ve done better than this. There was such a low degree of difficulty throughout the pattern and the rider felt very unstable in the saddle.
How was this world champion? That pattern was horrible.
Great horse and rider. Wow on holding that cow! Congratulation on showing at the World level. It would challenge anyone nerves...:)
