Class act. You could hear Sharps voice crack. Us beer league guys like to think that we have an idea what these guys go through and mean to each other but really, we don't.
As a proud Canadian and Canuck fan, l’d like to wish him all the best and thank him for showing us what it’s like to watch a true professional. I’ve always admired his work ethic and his never say die attitude. I hope the lake named after him in Manitoba is big and beautiful.
I just bought his jersey. Funny l’m a Canuck fan and his is the first jersey l’ve bought. That’s just how much l respect him. Had Bo Horvat remained a Canuck, l would like to think he would have brought similar attributes to our team.
My niece and Jonathan attended and trained at the same athletic program at Shattuck- St.Mary’s school. Seems like that was only yesterday… Time has flown by!!! Congrats Jonathan! It was fun watching your achievements along the way!! A true class act and professional.
I'm not a Blackhawks fan by any stretch of the imagination, but I wish Toews all the best, he has always been a classy leader, and I wish him all the best.
2:28 kind of broke me....emotional Sharpie with the shaky voice. He played a huge role on those cup teams and that brotherhood is what made them so resilient.
Jonathan Toews Thank You for all that you brought to the team and us fans . You will be missed greatly . I've been a fan for over 60 years and the " wait " of 49 years in between cups was well worth the wait .
Having lived and worked in Chicago, i truly fell in love with the city and this team. Such a shame with this great franchise that the city itself is going down the toilet dramatically It's time for both the Blackhawks and the city to tear things down and for a total rebuild.
Sure it’s tough but it’s not the end for JT. He could serve the organization or the league in a number of professional roles. Enjoy the retrospective but anticipate good things going forward.
Should have gone in to mans hockey 14 18 and twenty fukin 2 ,the goalposts got shifted hard...that would be the ultimate goal for these awesome generation
I don’t know if he’s a HOFamer, he’s a good player and a great captain. And HIS team won 3 cups. But he’s not a great player. His stats are boarder line. Less than 400 goals and less then 600 assists
@@sammyweed4771 Almost 400 goals. Gold medal Olympian. Stanley Cup Champion. Second youngest ever Conn Smythe Trophy winner. 880 pts. in just over 1000 games. Captain. Leader. Sounds like he belongs in to me.
@@maxcapacity7022 that’s you. And gold medal doesn’t count for a HOF Material in the NHL. He never scored over 40 goals a season. He had two great seasons that’s it.
@@maxcapacity7022 max I’m not trying to be a hater. I’m a Red Wing Fan and Zetterberg and Datsuyk have similar stats. And there boarder line for me also. The HOF to me is the best of the best. We just love them cause they played for our team, My Opinion is I don’t want it to be watered Down that’s all.

Sharp interviewing Toews, man this is a sad day to be a Hawks fan. Hope he keeps playing after he leaves Chicago
Not sad, just an end to a glorious era… should be happy we were a small part of it!
Would love to have him In Colorado if landeskog can’t return
His health has been giving him issues. I'm glad we got the best of him and his home is Chicago. He gave us greatness 🦅 🏆🏆🏆 greatest captain imo
Jonathan Toews. What a legend in Chicago.

Thanks Toews!
Kudos to Toews, congratulations on an incredible career with Chicago, here’s to whatever’s next in store! 🍻

Class act. Whatever team gets him will be better for it. He will have to take a pay cut but he still has slot to offer.
🫡 Toews. One of the realest since Yzerman.
Ick. Not quite.
Class Act and from a Bruins fan
great player and even a better man.
End of an era Kaner and Toews deserve statues outside the UC and their numbers retired 🦅❤️ always
goodbye toews you were a real hero for the hawks bro ! 3 cups along with it can't ask for any better
One question…….
When is his number going to the rafters
Good Luck JT

At his age I hope he keeps playing he should have some good seasons left in him
Go tazer
If he lives to 100 he will never pay for dinner ever again in Chicago.
Hedguy from hhcl?

So is he retiring or going to play for another team?
Blackhawks not resigning him, yet to decide future

Chiggie fans, your boy Kane n your Capt gave up on you guys. But at least you guys still have $9mil Jones 👍😁
What did he knew about Kyle beach being assaulted and when?
Nobody cares
There will not be a better Captain for the Hawks in a very very long time if not ever again.
I've kind of lost respect for him after the sexual abuse allegations and not standing up and telling the truth. Great player though
