- The Command & Conquer 3 Tiberian Twilight from Westwood.
it was cancelled because EA makes Tiberium Wars.
Artworks, images, and very little gameplay.
The Theme from Tiberian Twilight is : Frank Klepacki - He Lives
Too bad this never became a reality. :'( Rest in peace Westwood. Just know that your studio is missed.
Also This proof that westwood are totally aware about modder and it's community doing.
So yes the mod such as MO and TI just made both GDI/Allied are far stronger.
@@kasrkin100 You have caught Westwood eyes.
At least Kane's Wrath brought some of the gritty sci-fi tech of CnC2 back (Cyborgs mostly), but goddaaaammmnn as a CABAL fan, I still lament we saw no CABAL in 3. The LEGION story in KW was cool, but I would have loved expanding on the CABAL aftermath, dealing with rogue CABAL bases that still function, or some more plot involving the CABAL ghost in LEGION.
I thought that was something they were going to address in C&C 4. But like everything else in canon, 4 just swept it under the rug.
They wanted to make Tiberium Continuum (twilight) With the following factions in mind. NOD , GDI , Mutants , SCRIN , and CABAL. Westwood had so many great idea's in mind for the franchise. Also you would find the Chronosphere in this and send Yuri back in time in the red alert universe as a follower of kane.
Although I believe the C&C 3 we currently have is better, I think you are correct.
it was cancelled because EA wanted to capitalise on the war on terror with generals
The Nod Power plant actually made it into C&C 3 Tiberium Wars.
@DimensionalIce
EA was actively looking to merge the two studios before WWLV shut down. They were looking at zones in the LV/Reno area, but couldn't get any of their bids to go through with both city councils. Vegas denied the building, but LA accepted the bid, hence both studios were eventually shipped to the LA area. WWP/EAP was in Irvine, so it was a stone's throw for them, hence why most moved over. Really, LV guys got the raw end of the stick, but the financial situation urged EA to do it
This should've been Chapter 4 of the Tiberium Saga
KANE LIVES!
Das wäre viel besser und ausgeprägter gewesen als das Command and Conquer 3 dass rausgekommen ist.
What has to happen to get this game released?
Westwood have more epic ideas for this game..EA have ruin it with its bullshit
Haha well said
How much money would take to make this game today? 10, 20, 30 million dollars? If we could get a MILLION die hard C&C fans to pay a 100 dollars each to finance the original Westwood dev team, we'd end up with 100 million! I think it's a bit too much of a faint dream, but a 300 000 strong fanbase would yield 30 million dolars and I believe this version is more realistic. Lets' face it, c&c 4 was garbage. I didn't even have to play it to know it sucks. So, is 100 bucks to much for a masterpiece?
You know what I think? Indie companies. Someone else should pick up from where Westwood left and finish Tiberian Incursion, just as a homenage. The story as far as I've researched was pretty good, the factions weren't bad, the tiberian fauna and flora were meant to evolve and the units seemed interesting. I'm pretty sure many C&C fans would be willing to do this.
It wouldn't be easy at all, considering how much work this would demand, but if someone is capable of reviving C&C Tiberian Incursion or get really close, it's the fans.
i agree
Only problem is not just EA but the fandom itself
Themsevles are inflexible.
Yeah. They could continue the cancelled games like generals 2 and incursion😊
reminds me of why i was so upset when westwood got bought out by ea
Think about the positives. Westwood's C&C 3 would've been horrible compared to the one we have.
@@Sunnysideanyway think about how bad tiberium twilight was :V
but yeah at least tiberium war was epic
Good not to forget that something is not bought if someone don't want to sell it. Westwood could have wait to sell the company after this releases. Instead, they prefer to chill and relax. Totally llegit, of course, but the culprit is not only on EAs roof.
The time has come to claim as this game as our own. The time has come to destroy Electronic Arts!
At least EA actually made C&C 3 better when they got Westwood out of the picture. I like Westwood, but I think I would enjoy the C&C 3 we currently have over the one Westwood was making.
@@Sunnysideanyway do you think westwood would ever release a game as bad as C&C4? I don't know how anyone could ever do so logically or ethically.
@@honorandintegrity4997 This video kinda proves that CNC4 is the logical outcome of Tiberian Twilight lmfao.
They were still planning to make moveable bases. Cool. It seems they would've gone more towards starcraft's way of doing it rather then c&c4 went up going. Which would've been better.
This video has just one flaw: At the end it needs a text saying "Fuck you, EA"
"Fuck you for making C&C 3 better, EA!"
The only good tiberium twilight if it is released under westwood
It would be an awesome game. I did read proposed scenario with chrono sphere and yuri and kane. Designs look good too. EA screwing everything. Westwood! If you are reading this. Go and buy your rights back and Kickstart c&c incursion!
yup you right
+Jack T there would be all GDI arsenal form first tiberium war to second with all mark II walkers
+Jack T and don't forget the return of CABAL with his cyborg army originally he is going to have his own faction but this idea was scrapped.instead we got the marked of kane and LEGION as CABAL
You can briefly quote, or give a link to it, please?
There was a post on cncnet.org forums from one of the developers, called Ishmael. There he described ideas they wanted to implement. I can't find this page, but you can read about C&C Incursion here: cnc.wikia.com/wiki/Command_%26_Conquer_3:_Incursion
EA, Challenge and shit on every thing.
Challenge everything? Ok, sure. Shit on everything? Dude, this game was probably going to end up being shit anyways.
Some of these westwood designers were on some good shit when they were drawing a few of these....
they just looked at some warhammer...
@@greg_4201 Could you imagine not knowing about Battletech? That would truly be embarrassing.
From the looks of it it seems they were originally going the "Dawn of War Route". Upgradable Units within certain squads while still holding on to the original C&C astetics. Great concept. This is how you develop a game. Imagine this beeing released in 2004 or 2005 in Dawn of War graphics and gameplay...
The best part of this video is that the concept arts here were actually foreshadowing not only the presence of Yuri, the mad scientist who played the role of Premier Romanov's chief advisor in the Red Alert timeline (specifically Red Alert 2), but also foreshadow the consequences of the defeat of CABAL by both GDI and Nod during Firestorm.
Another thing: If Yuri was going to appear in the cancelled C&C 3 as an acolyte of Kane himself (if it was released already), wouldn't Nod have had some of Yuri's Army units from Yuri's Revenge? For example, Nod would then have a Yuri Clone (or at least normal soldiers trained with mind control weapons, aka PsiCorps Troopers), a mind control tank, a flying saucer, an artillery unit capable of lifting enemy vehicles, or even something like the Grinder Yuri's Army uses.
here is the tiberian incursion story note this not all of it:
By 2050 , decades after Firestorm : A meteor hits the middle one in Las Vegas . But it is more than just a meteor : The Scrin flow out of the blue - shimmering crater and the final battle begins over Tiberium . GDI is fighting against the extraterrestrial force around the planet Earth and as a simple reconnaissance mission turns out to be the first contact .
Yuri, an acolyte of Kane's (Nod was experimenting with psionics ) is sucked into a chrono-vortex that is created by a Chronosphere that GDI inadvertently activates (along with some other RA-era tech) while attempting to retrieve the only other existing suit of powered "screaming eagle" commando armor (the first was melted on re-entry from orbit when the Philadelphia was destroyed) from the sealed tech vaults at Area 51.
where did you found all this?
Mr.High Professional from 2 sites :
cnc.wikia.com/wiki/Command_%26_Conquer:_Tiberian_Incursion
www.chrissyx.com/c&c5.php
Nod Scorpion thnx. that was very interesting.
Nod Scorpion read that too and if it's true this would mean that Red Alert 2 would have been linked to Universe because Red Alert 1 allied ending leads to Tiberian universe.
That plot was not good.
Man, this is a promising game if it did get released under Westwood.
Damn man, THIS is the C&C 3 I wanted to play...what could have been...
Scrin fucking GDI very hard while it fucked Nod then get fucked by Mutants who in the end get all fucked by smug CABAL? Definetely better than TW plot
EA C&C 3 > Westwood C&C 3
Let's be honest. The C&C 3 EA made would still be pretty damn good, even if the Westwood version would've been better upon it's release.
@@ognjens2888 I can't tell if that is sarcasm or you being serious.
@@Sunnysideanyway EA made C&C games--- general, n all the later cnc games, all are pieces of shit. They are just another genre upholding the name of C&C.
@@hydragosh I liked C&C 3 honestly. It might not have been as good as Tib. Sun but it was a solid game.
I know this game was just in it's Alpha when it was cancelled but it looks super ugly. C&C 3 looks far better than that.
A lot of the concepts from this were reused be EA
The cancellation of Tiberian incursion is not fully EA's fault, but Also Westwood themselves. Earth & beyond is not good game but they still continue with this. EA getting tired for throwing money to them creating a buggy game that will jeopardize the industry themselves. But i also angry with EA, Instead continuing Tiberian Incursion, they created the whole new no making sense continuation called Tiberium Wars. The Ex-Westwood even said that Tiberium Wars is REBOOT of C&C instead of proper sequel to Tiberian Sun
I red the interview with the Westwood devs, it seems that it is EA that push Westwood to make Earth and Beyond because EA was convinced that it will be the next big thing, even when Westwood want to make C&C 3
not westwood fault, reasons games were buggy, incomplete, and shit was because ea was constantly pushing westwood around with strict deadlines and shit, alongside setting high expectations
derp
When you hate C&C 3 just because it "Doesn't make sense" and "Is a reboot" for some reason
I have absolutely no idea why you call it a reboot.
I reaaalllly wish cabal was playable with these units. They are so fucking cool.
Going to be a good game but Electronic Arts ruined it around 2003-2004 when they shut down Westwood Studios and decided to stop this game. It turns out this game was supposed to be the link between Tiberian sun and Red Alert 2 according to Adam Isgreen Westwood Studios Electronic Arts equivalent to Activision Blizzard (cnbc and stock market name for Blizzard) Chris Metzen. 2018-2019 version should use the same Battlefield 5 game engine frostbite since it has destruction and possibly able to show tiberian growth
I highly doubt that this game could top the C&C 3 we have. The plot is so wierd and linking Red Alert 2 didn't sound good to me.
@@Sunnysideanyway Westwood's version of CnC 3 would have had the tiberium flora and fauna so it would have surpassed EA's CnC 3 in some ways at least.
This is me being optimistic:
Maybe the former members of Westwood could buy the assets from their version of Tiberium Twilight, and maybe even their Tiberium FPS game. With these assets along with their skill set, I'd be confident they could turn out an honest product that'd make them a profit. Using their previous successful C&C titles as reference, I could even comfortably bet that the returning profits would be significant enough to entertain the idea for a sequel or other additional games into the C&C franchise.
Long Live C&C
Pretty sure the files (w3d etc) for that Nod Solider exists inside the Generals Alpha Build 98 released by RVMECH. Anyone interested check out this folder - Generals Alpha Build/LegacyArt/ Cmdo-Skin.w3 - this is the main model file and some of the others are animations. Generals(Assets).gdf confirms this is a Nod Solider - found in Run/Data/GDFDatabase/Generals(Assets).gdf loads of other references to Nod and GDI assets in here as well that I'm pretty sure are from Westwood's Tiberian Incursion.
;(, The upgrade thing looked like ass, But.. The E.V.A GUI, and the Nod Power plant I WANT THIS!. And TBH Tiberium Twilight was a okay/good game, however...., CnC4. Was a pice of shit.
You know, I think the greatest loss of this was the FMV unit portraits. That would've been such a cool little touch and could've been a massive immersion adder, actually seeing the units responding directly and such.
@cbrittain10
Huh. I guess you should go look up Adam Isgreen's post on the Petroglyph forums. Tiberian Twilight NEVER existed until EA's CnC4. Never. It was NEVER a known name; it was a community invention and consumption. So, really, I guess that shows how much you actually know. Funny isn't it?
if i had a million dollars... I would bring back Westwood to make this game and finish the Tiberian series like it was supposed to
One of the few good things is they kept the old style Nod armor just an updated version of it. Other than that this C&CIII Westwood was working on looks better. It also has more of a future feel to it than the EA one...
Someone needs to make a mod out of this...
Futuristic detail doesn't make anything good immediately. It just gives the game an Asian friendly texture. There was a lot of missed opportunity with the Nod and GDI tech in C&C 3, but I feel like the game didn't need to be super Sci-Fi.
This could be huge... the upgrade part was ahead of Supcom
Its C&C 3 incursion highlights
EA tooks all the models in Westwood's C&C3 and changea little bit, and then put them into EA's C&C 3!!! WTF EA. all hails Westwood!!!!
Wow instead they created other stuff TT. Very rare footage with mouse selecting and upgrading some unit like Mammoth MK 1 or something like that
this looks better than the EA crap!
In my opinion, it really isn't. The concept art for this game looks like it was made for an Asian market. Tiberium Twilight was also made for an Asian market and that is partly why it is such a bad game.
In my opinion, Tiberium Wars is far better than Tiberium Incursion.
Is this CnC3 before the mmo project? Wanna say this was Westwood version 2 that was recycled into Generals and some details given to EA for TibWar
This is a goldmine of concepts man, thanks for this (y)
Damn, I would play the shit out of this game.
@nhurm06 All has to do with money. Which is what surprises me about what most of these gamers that bitch about EA's decisions get to me. To run the business so the developers can make games they have to have money. And sometimes EA can get greedy but maybe that's a good thing and why the company is such a top dog in the industry. But if angry people want to blame anyone they need to look to the corporate suits who handle and own everything.
I can't believe how uninformed all of you are. It was not called Tiberian Twlight, it was called Incursion. Some of the artwork is also from Continuum, a possible MMO in the CnC Universe that WW themselves canned for E&B
It was started during Generals production. Remember, fools, WW had 2 studios: 1 in LA (WWP/EAP) and 1 in Las Vegas. This was using essentially the final build for SAGE.
Westwood themselves stopped production because they shifted everybody to Earth and Beyond, which was a flop.
Don't know what's better, the music or the awesome content from Westwood.
C&C Tiberian: Operation Incursion.
Ahm, C&C Arena was a cancelled MMO type of game similar to World of Tanks.
The one game that got cancelled due to "not meeting quality standards" was simpely called "Tiberium", a first-person tactic shooter.
The one thing we have here are the concepts for the first C&C 3 made by Westwood. Tiberium Wars came long after that.
In Kane we trust!!!!
2:39 GDI sure need some anti-armor infantries.
Look at that...quarter finished game that the new CNC will stand in the shadow of, if we're lucky.
scrins units or robots in the concepts ???
its called tiberian incursion, and some of the stuff on this video is from continuum
derp
Doesnt matter, continuum had same art style and concepts were reused for Incursion
3:16 Happy Birthday GDI!
This is awesome!
At least good chunk of CABAL's arsenals in ani-toonspiracy are from this game's concept art
I remember playing a tib game similar to this, it wasnt firestorm, or tib 3. weird
it was twisted insurrection. twisted insurrection got the behemoth and other vehicles from here :)
So its basically the idea that ended up becoming Tiberium Twilight C&C 4... Vehicles that deploy into buildings but instead EA made the crawler... Nice job EA
GOD DAMN EA
Hey the music of the trailer is a remix of Defunkt of C&C Renegade
Wonder if there's more concept art never shown and if a build of the game exists in storage somewhere
WESTWOOD STILL LIVES omg
@LoboalphaMASTER Maybe they would have been good. But remember, EA is a business and they were paying Westwood to produce C&C games, the reason they closed Westwood done was because they were using the time and resources they had been given to work on an entirely different series called Earth & Beyond. The series wasn't even doing that well and they still continued with it. So EA shut them down because they didn't hold up on their own end of the deal. Simple as that.
@nhurm06 Shows how much you know. The original Game was called Twilight, but they decided to make more C&Cs, and changed it to incursion, reserving Twilight for the last game, known as the infinitely suckish C&C.
beautiful.
Thats why C&C 3, Kane's Wrath,Generalsand Zero Hour are so good and addictive then.
Generals 2 is being made by BioWare Victory hopefully EA Los Angeles is involved.
ONOREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Need way more than a million pal. Games cost big money and many studios close due to rising costs.
Dam nice atwork video from cc3tt best video atwork ive seen :) and music is realy nice too
It's called a dream... it's not supposed to be 100% accurate and realistic!
@stormdumb yeah that was what i was going to say next but...i get lazy
I mean, the SAGE in tib wars was better
Eeyup!
Atleast we Tiberium wars.
Dog Bark dont get it
@nhurm06 I'm glad someone actually knows their stuff when everyone else seems to be spewing out a bunch of nonsense. In a way Westwood sealed their own demise by constantly concentrating on a series that was not going well when EA was paying them to work on the C&C series. I'll admit they were trying but in the end the deal was for C&C not another game series. People need to give the developers of C&C 4 a break, it's the corporate suits that are to blame for the way C&C 4 was.
EALA and Westwood aren't 2 guys every command and conquer game will have different people working on them. So don't bash EALA if anything bash EA management, it's a miracle EALA make half good C&C games with ea in charge.
This game was actually called Command and Conquer: Arena, and was cancelled because EA said "it didnt meet quality standards" Like so others can see
