The good part of groups is if the mother is struggling, she’s got aunts, her mother if she’s still alive, her sisters and cousins and siblings to help. Grandma is usually up for a little snuggle and snack. Chances that grandma is also either pregnant or nursing are pretty good. This is a pretty young mom but she seems to be getting the hang of it. Birth is a messy business so hopefully mom takes advantage of her family.

She is so young and I can't imagine or it kind of hurts me to know that one of those male monkeys we're jumping on her with her being so little. She is so sweet and pretty and she does know what to do it'll come to her she's probably taking better care of her baby then a lot of these older monkeys that had a lot of babies. She loves her baby a lot she's constantly holding it and loving it and she just is so so sweet and her baby so little and cute. And yeah she is scared because she's around a lot of other big monkeys and that then take other babies and would easily snatch hers with her being so young. But sweetheart I hope she makes it. Renee, I'm with you on that one. It makes me so angry and hurts me heart and soul to think of what she went through and how she must have fought and been so scared. Once the males hit puberty they become so different and crazy aggressive. I stop liking them. They're vicious and awful (most of them).

She’s a very young mom and her baby doesn’t look so good. For being so young she’s doing a pretty good job with her daughter. I just wonder where her family is she’s seems very alone in the troop. She doesn’t seem to have any family to help her. I hope both of them will be healthy and happy.
The baby looks fine for a newborn, it is just a very rambunctious little thing. It does need mom to clean it though. Otherwise mom seems to be doing a fantastic job of both caring for and feeding her baby.

Im not a mother and not a primate expert or under study by any means, but the look on her face and her eyes coupled with body language, eximplifys such intense confusion and uncertainties. She probably is still in physical shock because she is very very young. But, considering her age and lack of physical maturity, its simply amazing that the new born made it to term,survived birth, and is strong enough with the obvious will to thrive.

Basically, it's just 4 things: give milk to drink, clean the ass, pick a flea from the fur here and there, and when it climbs the tree, hold the baby so that it doesn't fall down. Let me explain: She has almost immediately been elevated in the troop hierarchy, moving from lowly daughter to esteemed mother, as evidenced at the beginning of the video, when she was surprised to get a whole lotus blossom to herself and not have it aggressively yanked from her by one of the other mothers and hesitant to let go of it even to get a better grip on her baby. This new rank is the reason for her nervousness, she remembers her previous standing and isn't confident in her new status. It has very little to do with her baby, as she sees it, and everything to do with her position within the troop. Got it?

The baby looks fine for a newborn, it is just a very rambunctious little thing. It does need mom to clean it though. Otherwise mom seems to be doing a fantastic job of both caring for and feeding her baby.

Im not a mother and not a primate expert or under study by any means, but the look on her face and her eyes coupled with body language, eximplifys such intense confusion and uncertainties. She probably is still in physical shock because she is very very young. But, considering her age and lack of physical maturity, its simply amazing that the new born made it to term,survived birth, and is strong enough with the obvious will to thrive.

This new rank is the reason for her nervousness, she remembers her previous standing and isn't confident in her new status. It has very little to do with her baby, as she sees it, and everything to do with her position within the troop. Got it?
