    Do you think KASPA is Done or do you think with the Potiental US Bitcoin ETF Approval, KASPA will break it's All Time High of $0.152699?

    • @Egg-noodles
      @Egg-noodles Год назад +3

      What do you mean by is Kaspa done? Are you saying it'll never go past that price? Are you asking if it's a dead project? Are you saying it'll never be profitable to mine again? What are you asking? Bc Kaspa isn't dead, it's constantly being developed still. Miner manufacturers have pumped billions of dollars worth of machines out. It's got more coverage than most other crypto projects combined. It's got more going for it than just about everything else aside from maybe a couple layer 1 SC platforms and bitcoin. So I guess what I'm saying is, no. By any metric, Kaspa is not done.

    THM the issue with solo mining is .. its 100% all personal luck, i had 4 of my KS0’s on solo for 5 weeks and 3 of them hit blocks the first week, week 2 one hit a block week 3 two hit a block week 4 no block at all, and week 5 i ended it 2 hit a block, its just too random even for one person running 4 KS0’s on solo looking at the ones that hit more blocks than the other that miner would be a win on solo and the others a fail, solo mining is something you do for fun knowing you mined that block, but if you are into earning consistent income pool is the only way.

    • @rehtric6537
      @rehtric6537 Год назад

      There is a lot more to effectively understanding and profiting from solo mining than just throwing your ASICS on a pool and hoping to get lucky. Understanding difficulty trends and Hashrate totals can help you pinpoint times to turn to solo mining and effectively turn more of a profit than you would pool mining. Some circumstances do have to be met that in turn require luck, but if you take a closer look and dyor, solo mining can be extremely lucrative if you know what to look for.

      @@rehtric6537 Do you have a good video for that?

    • @fullyelectric
      @fullyelectric Год назад +2

      @@rehtric6537 all good point .. Over the years the best time i have seeing to solo is when the hashrate is low, i was one of the first in the US to get the KSO and solo with it running local solo Kas server, and i was hitting 6-7 blocks per day on avg., KS0 was earning only 720 KAS per day back then pool mining and solo was 1100-1200, the network was only 850 TH or so, now its 130+PH and you will not even hit one block per day, at this point its all personal luck, the higher the hashrate thus higher the difficulty as they both track with each other for this coin with quick adjustments the harder it gets to solve that block, its now all personal luck not guaranteed.

    • @RobbyP1969
      @RobbyP1969 Год назад

      From a class in statistics in college, I can assure you it is never luck..... over a long period of time.
      If you roll 2 six sided dice once you have 36 combinations, and a one in 6 chance of getting a 7. Not so good. Roll 2 million six sided dice, divide that by 2, add up the total and divide by a million (the average of rolling 2 dice a million times), gauran-damn-tee you that number will be between 6.9 and 7.1.
      Vegas makes billions knowing this.... But most of us don't have a couple hundred miners, or can't wait years to have it average out. Pool mining is more predictable. Solo mining is more profitable (by a small amount) if you can wait the time or have the sufficient number of miners.

    • @rehtric6537
      @rehtric6537 Год назад

      @@RobbyP1969 I’m not sure the point is arguing profitability over a long period of time. Certain conditions that can be replicated can make one more profitable over the under (Ex living next door to pool server, owning a large farm, etc). But there are some conditions in the ecosystem that do exist that lead to better profit short term for solo mining. I will volunteer an example attesting to this. Summer of ‘23, I noticed solo difficulty and Hashrate of ergo were significantly lower. Put my tiny farm (9 gpus) onto solo mining ergo, and cashed out 4 blocks in the span of 2 weeks and made 200$ usd at the time. Was I lucky, absolutely, but I timed this switch based on existing conditions and made the most of it. Compare possible pool profits and I would have made closer to 20$ in that same time frame. This was a bit before the ergo blockchain greatly slowed down, but the example is still useful to justify my point above.

    If your kaspa miner is constantly have issues like restarts, or you have power outage you do pool minning. If you can run non stop 24/30 without issues, than solo mining is the way, but you need your node setup, to get faster ping. Latter I believe kaspa will become lottery machines, because it will be not profitable to mine other way. Or hopefully they upgrade firmware and you can mine other coins besides kaspa.

    • @justsavvysnipes
      @justsavvysnipes Год назад

      You're mining less because network hashrate has gone up. 6 weeks ago it was at 80 ph/s now its at 130 ph/s the higher the hashrate, the less coins you mine it has nothing to do with your miner its the difficulty of the network going up. Use whattomine and enter in your numbers it does a good job at showing profit decrease with network hashrate increase
