- cool video - mix versions were WAY too loud compared to the rest. Watch out for volume differences throughout your videos please :) - Texas Heats give you that instant sharp Pantera vibe imo, which i love
@@djabthrash the Texas Heat does give Pantera vibes and has a really nice clear punch! I am working on my volume control and making mixes better! Sorry to blast your ears!
@@tyrannosaurusriffs It's alright ! A good way to check for volume consistency is to listen to your videos at HIGH volumes, so that anything too high will jump at you immediately :)
Would love to hear a DV77 (which is the new Slipknot speaker kinda) vs G12K100 (which was Slipknot's speaker of choice until the DV77) comparison ! And also Texas Heat vs G12K100.
@@tyrannosaurusriffs I'm currently buying virtual cabs (Two Notes DynIr) with K100s, T75s, Redbacks, Texas Heats, DV77, P50e, to have more diversity than all the V30 and Greenback cabs i already have :)
@@djabthrash makes sense! The two notes stuff is great! I have a ton of their cabs and speakers but I never really play with them much. I really like comparing the real thing! Although the two notes is fantastic
Late to the party hear. When I was listening to them individually out of a mix, I thought oh they are gonna sound amazing blended together... and it's true! At times the DV77 sounds fizzy and phasy to me, but the Texas heat helps clear that up. I'm eyeing a texas heat posting on craigslist now...
Better late than never! Yeah this one surprised me how well I liked them together! I definitely see what you’re saying about the 77. The Texas heat just makes it sound huge! I hope you score that Texas Heat and end up enjoying it! Speakers are fun.
@@tyrannosaurusriffs He's also selling a swamp thing. I'm gonna try and pick up both for a deal this weekend. Speakers are fun indeed...! I've recently been breaking out of the mold of my V30s I've had since first picking up guitar. I bought up a fryette 2x12 cab recently since I tried an IR on their F70G's that I love. You should check out Fane's and Fryette gear if you haven't already. I imagine it would sound great out of your badlander as I've pushed the fane's with a Mark V and JP2C
@@khomaniac1217 Swamp Thangs are also rad! I played on Sheffield 1200's for a decade................I love the V30, we all know it rules, but experimenting with all of these others has been a blast. Texas Heat is definitely the winner for me. The DV-77 has that nasty grainy midrange thing that V30s have (which I also hate). Willing to bet that the TH would pair nicely with a scooped style speaker (Greenback or equivalent).
@@JoelCSabo both? I really like the blend, sounds super tough. The Texas Heat though sounds much better than I expected on it's own though. Usually I can quickly tell which one I like a bit better but this one is throwing me for a loop. I'm debating pushing the Heat a little harder with a tad more gain to see what happens.
@tyrannosaurusriffs could do. There may even be a video to make on EQing heads a certain way to find each speaker's sweet spot or getting them closer to one another.
@@JoelCSabo not a bad idea! I'll add that to the list and play around with it! Debating doing a mic video next week similar to these speaker shootouts.
