I have a doubt on this since 6 months. Kindly answer please If we send a satellite towards sun and make it revolve around it within the radius in which it does not burn . We will attach 2 ion thrusters which will charge by the sunlight via solar panel on it . The 1st thruster will give angular acceleration and the second will provide the force which will balance the centrepetal , centrifugal force and radius of revolution also does not change.. The question is that Can we get a suitable velocity that it will escape out of the solar system when the 2nd thruster is turned off.....If yes , then What is the max. velocity it can achieve..

im not very sure but wouldn't the block be tilted if both ends have different velocities? i think there should be two different blocks, one attached to the motor and the other attached to the bottommost pulley. in that case sir's equation in this video would be valid and not 5Txa- Tx=0 like in the illustrations book. someone pls check my logic
Sir at 16.24 ,if block B has acceleration then the pulley attached with B should also have acceleration. But the pulley is massless,so net force and acceleration must be zero. Then how is it possible?

What's the difference between work done by the body and on the body ( as work done by the string on the body while work done on the body in general ) In mathematical form
I can help you understand this in a different way. Suppose you have x amount of money. This money is energy. Now if you spend y amount of money to purchase something. This y is work done "by" you so now you have total energy x-y. Similarly if something gifts you z amount of money. This z is work done "on" you. Now you have total energy x+z. Now, talking about virtual work method, here tension is internal force anyway so from newton's law of motion due to action reaction pair, net work must be zero, as we know internal forces can't do work. We only use this fact to simply our analysis.
