Great interview Lisa and Ryan. It's a lifestyle as Lisa points out, not a short term diet. I agree with you Ryan that this way of eating/being is sustainable, but also ddresses some of the psychological issues around the way we see food too. Such an easy, chilled conversation. Congratulations!! I feel her on that menopause. Gyn Doc told me “you need to lose some weight” and that’s it. I left feeling like ok now what. 🤦🏽♀️ I was obviously overweight because I don’t know what to do. Then 10 years later, menopause shows up and I just felt lost and alone and all the comments you get are along the lines of “that’s just how it is with menopause”. Yes hormone changes play a role, but the main issue is food choices, good sleep and exercise. We CAN be healthy and at a good weight during menopause!
Yeah there's this kind of weird acceptance with menopause where people just submit to it and give up. Sad! But understandable given the really poor info out there about menopause.
