Watched a clip with Midge saying that he wished he had recorded more with the guys from Japan. If this track is anything to go by so do I. It’s a classic.
Such a shame this didn't get more publicity and promotion at the time of it's release. What a beautiful song and so well performed by all the musicians involved. It could well have been one of those moving ballad type tracks that pick up radio play and end up a hit single.
First record I ever bought was Ultravox's Vienna. Was given Quiet Life by my sister then over the years got every version of every recording by Japan and their solo work. This is awesome.
didn't know this existed, shame there wasn't a film of them together. I thought years ago the three members of Japan should've aproached Midge about joining them.
I love the song Heart from the same album but don't know how to upload to you tube so if any one else who has this album can do the track on you tube for me i would be grateful
Mick's bass is and will remain stuff of legend!

Very subtle bass playing from Mick...understated, but classy. RIP Mick, gone but never forgotten.

Cry...Freedom. Superb track.
Very much an Ultravox fan. Yet again though, Mick Karn's bass tells its own story. Great musician.
Beautiful song
Amazing...a masterpiece!!! Genius and class.....❤

What year is this?
niceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Midge can sing-- not like that hobo Sylvian
Spasswit
"Hobo", lmao! I love Sylvian, but this was funny.
super fan anthony does not know anything!!! hahaha
Honestly I prefer this type of vocals over Sylvian's, they seem more natural
Personally I think Sylvian had a wonderful vocal style at the time of the first two Japan albums, that was before he tried to become Scott Walker...
