    Hi my name is Irene I’m from Sydney New South Wales in Australia and I was watching your post with the vintage envelopes and it inspired me to make some for myself …… you were asking about your ink pads, drying out ……. I have a lot of ink pads can I use them a lot and I’ve had them for years and they are still going ….. but I also store my ink pads upside down when I’m not using them so the ink doesn’t settle at the bottom of the pad …. it works at treat …… just a suggestion cheers Irene

      I use Stampin up ink and they automatically turn upside down when you close them. They last me a long time.

    I asked you for these!!!
    I'm so happy you decided to do this!!! These are so great!!! I can't wait to try this. You are a "vintage genius"!!! I wouldn't have thought of how you did this. I think we don't know all we have on some of our stamp sets. I just bought some new ones to do your IDs and Passports and Repair Tags, etc. I don't have a coffee ring stamp. But it looks so good! I'll use a real coffee cup and coffee!!!
    THANK YOU so much for this. I knew you'd do great! TFS!

    Beautiful! These turned out great 👍 But for those without the cool stamps and stencils, Amazon has a "96-pack vintage air mail" with 48 cream colored lined papers with matching envelopes, complete with red and blue edge trim ($13): done for you (easy peasy!) All that's left is the fun part: decorating and grunging it up 🤓

    Your envelopes are perfect! I love them! Your stamping supplies and skills are fantastic. I think stamping adds such a nice touch to items being made. I haven't done much stamping and my stamping supplies are minimal at best as I'm adding to it slowly. I have a question for you regarding ink. I have different kinds of ink; archival, pigment, and distress and I don't know how they differ or when to use which kind. Since over the years I've just bought a little here and a little there and just started using them that's how I've come to realize I have the variety. Since I'm only doing things for myself I haven't been particular which I use. If I want a certain color I use what I have in that color etc. Whatever info you can share with me would be appreciated. Thanks so much! I love your channel and the items that I've seen you make so far. I'm newly subscribed (Feb. 22, '24) and look forward to more of your videos.

    • @SunsetCrafts
      @SunsetCrafts  8 месяцев назад

      Hi Jean, I wish I had a crafty answer for you regarding the different types of ink. Unfortunately I am also learning and haven’t studied the differences just yet. I’m so sorry. I’m hoping someone will read your comment and come on to answer. I’m sure there’s some type of video out there in the RUclips world that explains the differences. Thanks for watching and so happy you are enjoying my channel.

    You really do have the coolest stamp sets! What do you think of the clear vs red rubber? These are fun!

    • @SunsetCrafts
      @SunsetCrafts  11 месяцев назад +1

      Hey Rhonda! I think each has their pros and cons. The clear stamps seem to be a little more sticky but overall stamp very well. The red rubber I like a lot but the extra cushion can cause ink to get on the sides of the stamp that is not a part of the image so sometimes it doesn’t come out as a clean stamp. But I like the extra cushion because you don’t need to press as hard. :)

    It’s fab you can come up with it, but if you add up
    💵Several different stamp sets
    💵Sticker paper
    💵Parchment
    💵Stencils/brushes
    💵Distress inks and ink pads (though most have at least one)
    💵 Etc….
    This is not an inexpensive project and that lady probably got a bargain in the end 🤷‍♀️

    • @SunsetCrafts
      @SunsetCrafts  11 месяцев назад

      I guess the breakdown of every project would not be very inexpensive. But as a crafter, we collect. And as a collector I’m sure most have something that can be used to substitute supplies that are used. It’s the beauty of the craft.
