Just sayin! haha
I have to say that "through the wire" described one of the most physically painful moments in his life while he was still in the situation. It's about perseverance.
In the song Through The Wire, he sings like that because he had an accident and he had his jaw broken so he has the mouth covered with wire and he tells the experience he had in this song.

Kanye West Caught my eye in 2022 when i was 14, the main reason being his controversies aswell as how beloved he is in the hip hop space. I didn’t properly get into Kanye until i was 16. (About 8 months ago) I decided to listen to his entire discography in order similar to how you are and it changed my life, my hearing the catchy songs the first time than relistening to them and learning new details such as Kanye’s jaw being WIRED SHUT during “Through the wire” which made me love the song even more. The bear triology (his first three albums) are some of his best work. His skill in sampling other song (which is basically some of the high pitched voices you hear in the back of his songs or some of the piano / guitar riffs) is unmatched. After you listen to more of his music you should look for a compilation video of his samples original videos/songs Kanye’s albums have helped me out of depression and through break ups. He has music for every type of vibe, i’m excited to re live listening to his discography for the first time through you. It’s like showing a friend your music taste lol. Keep it up my friend!!
You could listen to his 2018 album called Yandhi that Kanye didn’t release because he got his religiuos awakening and scrapped it, It was basically finished
Through The Wire samples an 80s song called Through The Fire by Chaka Khan. It’s a great tribute and creative shortcut because by putting the tone of his voice in the “chipmunk” style, he manipulated the original phrase and name of the song, by converting the pronunciation “fire” into “wire.” Which wire? the metal cable that joined two metal plates in his jaw, after it was broken by a car accident that occurred due to falling asleep while driving, after working late on this album called The College Dropout. Surviving, Kanye had the idea and turned the song into his first single, he still raps with his jaw broken, the result of the song being a success , made Kanye being signed by the record label that was going to help him produce this album. The rest is history

It’s impossible to appreciate these songs without paying attention to the lyrics. The message is the most intentional and arguably strongest part of this album, and Kanye’s discography as a whole. I think that you should start having the lyrics open so that you can appreciate more of the full work of art that is Kanye’s music. Can’t wait for future videos!
I encourage you to re listen to the album at least once. Kanyes music always hits different second, third even fifth listen. Also maybe have the lyrics up while reacting so some lyrics dont just go over your head. Love the videos❤

Kanye and Travis Scott, for example, use AutoTune as a musical instrument, which sometimes doesn't sound very clean, but that gives it that special quality in most tracks, and like Kanye and Travis, autotune is used in every track, but it's not so pronounced. Give autotune a chance and try to ignore it, I don't know how to describe it myself, I didn't like autotune very much, but the more I started listening to their style of music, I can't imagine hip-hop music without it now, a little spoiler in 808s HeartBreak experiments a lot with Autotune, and it was this album that influenced a lot of artists like the aforementioned Travis Scott Kanye works a lot with samples which he then pitches

Hate it when people call high pitched vocals autotune! Autotune is the pitch being automatically adjusted to fit a melody when the singer doesnt precisely hit the exact notes. Then when you crank it up very high it gives the vocals that wobbly sound that so many people dont like, because it corrects the singer's pitch unnaturally too fast. This "chipmunk soul" sound is just normal raw soul vocals being pitched a couple notes higher. Autotune doesn't necessarily make people sound high pitched or squeaky, a lot of the rappers who use it just have a high pitch or squeaky voice by themselves. Anyways I enjoy your videos, I'm glad you focus most of your attention on the sound and the music, because I agree it's the most important part of the music, but I'd suggest atleast having the lyrics in front of you so you can enjoy the music to the fullest. Most of rap music is obviously very focused on the rappers' lyrics and with english not being your first language, it's understandable you're not gonna catch all of it just by ear. Looking at the lyrics, atleast a little bit, can get you to more appreciate the concept or story of a certain song or even the whole album's overarching theme.
Through the wire is a song that grows on you, I enjoyed it first listen, but it became my favourite Kanye song of all time after learning his story about the accident that almost killed him and how he made that song in the hospital after hearing Through the fire and noticed it sounded like through the wire so he decided to write a song where he spits through the wire the wired his jaw closed making probably the most unique rapping style I've ever heard.
