I've always thought the no date looked better. Cleaner. Plus, I don't like to set the date, and when I don't set the date I feel bad. No date, no problems.
‘No date, no problems’ - I like that one
I actually feel the same, but IMO day and date are much more useful for me on a watch than the actual time (I find them really handy when checking the gym's closing times for example).
I know you can look it up on your phone, but I prefer my watch to my phone for oretty much everything.
I have gmt ii i never fix the date haha
@@francisfowler4908I get it. It takes quite a few turns of the crown!
If you're diving...if you need a date you're underwater too long.
These lads would offer you £6k for you £8k pile of 20 pound notes
The Non Date one gives the full view of the dial without any obstructions. ❤
It's really not a "non date Sub", it's just a Sub. They simply made a date version out of this. Also, I wouldn't refer to it as ugly in any way, shape or form. It is much more clean and perfectly symmetrical than the Sub date. Especially without the ugly cyclops glued on the crystal.
No, this is the original base line Submariner in all it's perfection.
“The ugly duckling” is a figure of speech. The Submariner (without the date) is definitely a great looking watch
It’s not rare either
@@Classic_Vinyl_Only he said it’s ‘rarer’ not its rare. Pull your head out your arse.
@@WatchtraderSubmariner*
It’s definitely ugly compared to the date version come on, just look at this thing
There is a 124060 for 11450 Pounds on their shop
Talk about a rip off and then you wonder
That’s because the ones sold on their shop is unworn. Also depends on date man, if it’s a 2024 then of course
How is that a rip off? It’s called business, how do you think the economy works?! How else do businesses pay their employees and bills??
The submariner is pure class with out the cyclops wort 🔥👌
Date of no date, hardtop or convertible, waxed or hairy… one isn’t better… it’s all about your preference.
Obviously 😂
Nope, no-date is actually better. 😂
@@mrb6597 I wear the 124060 so no argument from me on your opinion.
The Cyclops is an iconic and immediately recognizable Rolex feature. A Rolex purchase is too big a financial commitment to be influenced by social media hipster dufus. These are the same dopes that will tell you a 34mm watch looks good on a 7.5 inch wrist because Muhammad Ali wore one. Try the them both on, if you like a visually smaller dial then go for Date as it has less negative space. If you don’t like the look of the Cyclops then you have a No-date option. If it’s going to be your only Sub, I’d get the Date complication for its utility and distinctive feature.
I think the no date looks better. After getting one though, I understand the convenience of having a date window. If i cant get a titanium yacht master, my next rolex will be a blue jubilee gmt.
These guys will say whether nonsense to make the watch seem like a good deal
Correct. Stay away from grey dealers the 💩 just comes out like a waterfall they can’t switch off
I just got my Submariner a month ago.. Gold on black bazel, date of course...
If i would have waited another month i would have got it for at least 600-800€ cheaper...
The watch market is plunging down...
Shout to archieluxury. Lol
And it being rare isn’t the reason. It’s bc of the cleaner dial/look and the fact that the original sub never had a date. 1954 I believe.
No Date IMO has a cleaner look and better symmetry. Not a big fan of the Cyclops and having to set the date.
Is that a 5512? I picked up my very first Rolex in 97 as a 14060, paid $2400, left me wanting for the date 16610 which I've owned since 98...My 14060 did not have the superlative chrono script, I think it was added for later models
Cyclops is ugly and was only needed in the 1900s or someone who's old and blind, LOL! No date is the best!
How can I buy one for 6k
You’d most likely need to have a retail store
Fr
@@Watchtrader ahh
buy whichever you like more its all hype and demand it will probably always switch up
This is just a massive insult to supposed connoisseurs. This mass produced submariner isn't rare. They both sold out and there are plenty of either out there.
False. IG is used to do one thing “influence”. Do your own research.
Yeah right this is bs you need the one with date always better
It's my choice because I hate the cyclops
6k? Very low ball offer.
I would buy everyone I could find at that price. That sells in Canada 10-13K all day long.
8K pounds is 14.25K Canadian. I'm sure you can find that price.
Give it a few years. These will go up big time as supply of good condition models get harder to find.
True dive watch - date window affects vision while 75 meters under water.
but what if you need to know the date while you're down there?
You will never dive below 30m
Everytime I see this guy rip someone off I get so pissed.I can’t take it anymore, pressing the don’t recommend button
It’s not him, it’s the whole industry. Everyone I hear a dealer talk I feel like I need to take a shower.
I have the date version. I also have a non cyclops seiko. From a distance looks just like a sub. I’d rather have a date function than not have it.
A no date makes sense. It is easier to set the watch, you only have to set it for a 12 hour period, and you don't have to set a date, which you don't need under water anyway. The dial and crystal look clean. One less complication to wear out. Easier to service. Costs less.
116900 will be same way in several decades
The non-date Sub is more popular due to Sean Connery wearing it as Bond. No other reason.
I’ve had both. I sold the cyclops about ten years ago. I just purchased the No Date and I absolutely love it!! I will never part with this watch!!
How does it make it more “rarer” just because it’s less popular? Rolex makes the same amount of stock regardless of demand.
It’s rarer 😂? The ugly duckling?😂
These fellas crack me up??
Total 🏀 ocks
I will steer well clear of this establishment thank you very much 😎
Beleive it or not the is not the non date sub but the submariner. Then you have the submariner date
No watch people have always only wanted the no date
Rarer, cheaper, cheaper to service and nicer dial.
Bottom line... Personal preference.
why get a watch without the date? defeats the purpose
The problem it doesn’t come in green
Love this bullshit
What a scammers, just paying 6.000 for this watch
How much would you buy this for in your retail store? We didn’t buy the watch either
Bad rip off merchants these
£6k…!!?? Must be a 35% mark up. Jeez.
way below market price....
Holes case with engraved Rehaut? Something doesn’t seem right
14060 went to 14060M when the rolex around 2002 remove from all watches lug holes the 14060M keep its holes until 2012 the last rolex with holes and yes you read it right 2012... when ceramic sub was on at 2010.. and rolex add reheat at 2007-8 until 2012 on the 14060M
So.. If you pay £6000.. How much do you sell it for?
About 8-12k depending on condition and year
I love this model
i'll give him 6.5k
I just bought that watch on March 20 from my AD in NJ... 😎 ⌚️
What is the name of the AD in NJ?

“Rarer” is a fancy term for less popular. Less demand, less supply. Easy as that
My iced out Invicta Gladiator is better 👑
Wouldn't be seen dead with a Sub with the cyclops
Spot on 👌

Cyclops is synonymous with Rolex.
MOST people prefer the no date over the date.
Most people don’t even know isn’t exists and it’s ugly af compared to the date version

6k lmaooo nah

The watch at the bottom of video is a cheap copy 😂
How?
@lettuce1305 the pins to hold the watch to the strap are visible through the watch casing
@@leethirling9913that's a 5 digit No date Sub ref 14060M. All 14060 or 14060M have drilled lugs on the case and pretty much almost all sports Rolex models had drilled lugs prior to 2003.
