This is a good video but it’s fair to point out hedgehog tenrecs are actually native to the drier parts of Madagascar, like the Spiny Thickets and other semi arid environments

(Not to say to keep their enclosure bone dry, I’m just not sure about them needing a lot of humidity)

@@ambassadorofpeboiv5366A fair point and oversight on my behalf, they are from the south which is very dry so ill revise that part of the video! However they do need some humidity, mainly due to the artificial heat source causing dry skin which is very common in captive tenrecs who are not provided that added humidity.

Thank you so much for this video! My tenrec have been looking sad lately and have dry skin and I did not know what to do about it. So Thank you and I hope to get a happy tenrec soon! Do you know anything about them vomitting and eating it again? She has done it 2 times in a short period of time :/ She eats normal

Tenrecs have sensitive stomachs, it could be an intolerance to their food, what have you been feeding them? Definitely worth taking them to the vets either way x
