Hi! I’m taking my behind the wheel test next week in Merced as well. Would you mind explaining how long the test was and what errors you made? It would help me a lot. Thank you.
Arsheka Garcha Hi! Yes! The test was about 10 mins long but it felt a lot shorter, the errors i made was that i didn’t look over my shoulder EVERY lane change. Some advice i have for you is to just try to stay calm because i know how much the nerves can get in your head right before your test. Definitely exaggerate checking for traffic and don’t forget to merge into the bike lane right before right turns (as shown in the video) but make sure to only merge in the dotted lines, merging in the solid lines can cause a fail. Honestly if you’re studying this video i promise you don’t have anything to worry about. I was so nervous before my test i watched this video like 20 times and just studied it but it really helped me learn the roads around merced. Hope this helped 💓

Thank you so much just took my test and passed. My route was slightly different. I don't really remember some of it and I'm not from Merced, but if it helps someone. From 0:00-2:28 was the same. At 2:29 we went straight and turn left on Canal St. and turned right on either W. 14 St. ( or W.15th street); and I think I turned right on Martin Luther King Jr. The turn right back on W.13 St. We essentially made a giant loop back to Merced County office of education (MCOE) the building seen on the right at the 2:20 mark. Around the 7:28 mark cross the street from MCOE she had me pulled over to back up (where you can see the gray pickup truck pulled over on the side of the road). From around 6:57 to 11:42 was mostly the same but I think we went down different residential area. (I think I turned left before the buildings seen at 9:22 but not sure) It was much shorter around 8/9 minutes and I don't know if it is because of Covid or because they where doing construction in some areas.
Just had my driving test this morning with this same instructor, I was so nervous while I was waiting for it to be my turn but once she started asking me where is everything at and I started driving all those nerves went out the window , she was really nice and not intimidating at all.
