  • This was recorded on a domestic cassette recorder in 1995 and is the only recording the person running this channel could find of his favourite tune played on this instrument, which brings back memories of it being played and listened to by Musical Box Society friends.
This is over 12 feet high and 8 feet wide and was made by Imhof & Mukle in 1861. It has 97 keys and plays a spirally pinned barrel driven by a heavy weight. It was recorded in the 1990's at Saddington Hall in Leicestershire, UK, but now resides in the Musical Museum at Speyer in Germany close to where it was orignally made.
